No accidents occurred that day, and everyone arrived at the Energy Essence Condensation Field, though some were earlier and others later. The last ones didn’t arrive until it was dark, having traveled all day. The students were all tired and returned to their respective camps to rest.
The dormitory arrangements were the same as in the academy, with Luo Feng and Aaron sharing a double room.
Luo Feng was also very tired. After dinner, he felt a bit sleepy, but he was covered in sweat and needed to rinse off first. However, Aaron had already taken the bathroom, so Luo Feng had to wait in the living room.
This somewhat effeminate roommate was extremely clean, even having a mild case of洁癖 (cleanliness obsession). He usually spent at least half an hour in the shower. Luo Feng thought he would be quicker today, but he clearly underestimated his roommate’s cleanliness. Perhaps because of the long journey and the dirt on his body, Aaron’s shower time was even longer than usual. It wasn’t until more than half an hour later that he leisurely left the bathroom.
By then, Luo Feng was almost asleep in the chair in the living room. Seeing him come out, he couldn’t help but complain, "Hey, Aaron, you took way too long. Aren’t you at all tired? Can’t you just make do?"
Aaron gave him a dirty look and said irritably, "Who’s making do with you? You’re so stinky, it’s annoying. If you can’t wait, go use the bathroom in the neighboring dorm!"
"Alright, forget I said anything," Luo Feng raised his hands in surrender. He knew his roommate could be quite talkative when they argued. Then he noticed that Aaron had changed into a set of casual clothes, not pajamas, which made him quite curious. "Aaron, aren’t you going to sleep?"
"I’m not used to sleeping so early. I’m going to take a walk and check out the environment here," Aaron said and left, making Luo Feng shake his head and mutter to himself, "Aaron’s energy is really not ordinary!"
Of course, Luo Feng didn’t know that Aaron’s purpose was not just to check the environment but had another agenda.
The AAA-level Energy Essence Condensation Field was vast and had a somewhat complex terrain. The roads were interconnected, and it was easy to get lost without a guide. However, Aaron navigated the twists and turns without even looking at the signs, as if he were very familiar with the place. He had been here before, but that was several years ago.
Finally, Aaron arrived at a small tower, which appeared in front of him.
The Condensation Field was built for the training of special forces, and most of the buildings were bungalows. Therefore, the small tower stood out, indicating that Aaron had come to an unusual place.
Even from several dozen meters away from the tower’s entrance, a hoarse but powerful voice could be heard, "Who’s there?"
From this sensory ability, it was clear that the owner of the tower was extremely powerful.
Aaron switched to a female voice, "Grandpa Orlando, it’s me!"
The person in the tower was clearly taken aback, somewhat surprised, "Scarlett?"
"Creak!"
The door of the tower opened, and Aaron walked in, facing an old man with a youthful appearance. Despite his age, he was in excellent spirits, with a square face that looked as if it had been chiseled, exuding an aura of authority: "You little brat, what are you doing here?"
Aaron smiled, "Do I need a reason? Of course, I’m here to visit you, Grandpa."
"Cut the crap. You, the crazy little witch, don’t have the time to visit an old man like me, and you’re even dressed as a man," he said, but a smile appeared on his face. It was clear that he was pleased with Aaron’s visit, as she was the descendant of a close friend and someone who had once fought alongside him. "How is your grandfather?"
"Grandpa is doing well and asked me to convey his greetings."
Several years ago, Aaron’s grandfather had brought her to this Energy Essence Condensation Field and stayed for a while, which is why she was so familiar with the place.
Aaron came from a prominent family in the Holy City, and her grandfather was a person of great importance, yet he had specially asked his granddaughter to greet someone. The old man in front of her was no ordinary person.
In fact, he was a retired special forces instructor.
The special forces of the Federation were all very powerful, and those who could be their instructors were even more formidable. Orlando was a World King-level powerhouse, second only to the Supreme.
He had dedicated his life to the Federation’s military, especially the special forces, making significant contributions. However, he was indifferent to fame and fortune. After retirement, he chose not to live in Victoria City but to live in seclusion at one of the special forces training bases, occasionally guiding the special forces.
"Thank you for your concern, but," Orlando’s tone changed, "you little brat wouldn’t have come here just for this. What do you want? You know I don’t like beating around the bush!"
Aaron chuckled, "Of course, I can’t hide anything from Grandpa Orlando. Well, it’s like this, I’m very interested in your Thunder Six Techniques."
"Interested?" Orlando almost jumped up, "When you and your grandfather came here years ago, I offered to teach you, but you refused. Why the sudden change of heart?"
Aaron smiled, "Grandpa Orlando, I was young and foolish back then, but now I finally realize how profound your Thunder Six Techniques are. Please forgive me!"
Orlando felt greatly flattered. Several years ago, when he met Scarlett, he discovered that the little witch had extraordinary talent and wanted to teach her his six signature combat techniques, but she had refused, which had been a sore point for him. Now that Scarlett had come to seek his guidance again, he felt his dignity restored. Whether for the sake of his old friend or Scarlett’s talent, he was willing to teach her: "Finally, you recognize their value. It’s not too late. Although my Thunder Six Techniques can’t compare to your family’s secret techniques, they are very useful in actual combat."
Aaron’s eyes twinkled, "But, Grandpa Orlando, before I learn the Thunder Six Techniques, I have one request."
Orlando grunted, "You little brat, you’re actually trying to negotiate with me!"
"Grandpa Orlando, I said it’s a request," Aaron pouted, and the old instructor’s stern face softened, "Tell me, as long as it’s not too much, I’ll agree."
"It’s very simple, not too much at all," Aaron said slowly, "In addition to me, teach someone else as well!"
Orlando asked, "Who?"
Aaron replied, "I’m currently studying at Starlight Academy as a male. He’s my roommate, named Luo Feng."
"Is he a student at your academy? What’s his background?"
"He has no background, from a small city of the fourth level."
"That won’t do," Orlando said firmly, "You need to understand that although the Thunder Six Techniques are my creation, they incorporate the essence of the Federation’s special combat techniques. Teaching them to others would not be in accordance with the rules."
Aaron pouted, "I’m not a special forces member either, why can you teach me?"
"You’re different. There’s no one else like you in this world, and both your grandfather and father are in the Federation’s headquarters, so making an exception is fine," Orlando paused, "Besides, learning the Thunder Six Techniques requires very high talent. Your roommate is just an ordinary person. Even if he learns them, it would be a waste of time, not worth the effort."
"No, I don’t think so. He’s not an ordinary person. Luo Feng is very special, Grandpa Orlando. You know, I rarely take an interest in anyone, but Luo Feng caught my attention. In fact, I came to Starlight Academy just for him."
"Really?" Orlando was a bit skeptical. After all, for someone from a small city with no background to stand out and become exceptional was very difficult, especially to the point of attracting the attention of a little witch.
"Or is it that this Luo Feng is your boyfriend, and you’re trying to get me to teach him the Thunder Six Techniques by provoking me?"
"Pfft, no way, he’s just my roommate!" Aaron spat, "Grandpa Orlando, if you don’t believe me, meet him. If Luo Feng doesn’t meet your standards, you can kick him out at any time. As for the rules, since you can make an exception for me, it shows they’re not that strict. With your high moral standing and status, the Federation wouldn’t bother with such a trivial matter."
The old instructor paced back and forth a few times and was finally convinced, "Alright, bring Luo Feng over tomorrow, but I’m saying this upfront: if his talent doesn’t meet the criteria, I won’t teach him the Thunder Six Techniques. Don’t say I didn’t consider your feelings!"
"Thank you, Grandpa Orlando, see you tomorrow!"
