Chapter 87

The difficulty of the internship tasks continued to increase day by day, but the Falcon Squad persevered through each challenge. Although many team members had reached their limits, Luo Feng had not. As he took on each role of the free player, the squad's overall strength grew daily. Moreover, there was a super-strong Aaron in the team who, when necessary, helped them through two major crises, though he did it so skillfully that it seemed like sheer luck.

This went on for another two weeks, until it was the last day of the internship task.

There were no specific standards for the task; the squads were simply required to hunt as many magical beasts as possible. However, this task without a task actually tested the hunting experience and teamwork skills the squads had learned over the period. Today, the squads would be ranked based on their total harvest, and this ranking would significantly impact the overall evaluation of the internship task. The higher the ranking, the more proudly the team could return to the academy, as it was a matter of team honor. Therefore, each squad was giving it their all.

Finding the right number and level of magical beasts was no longer a problem for these experienced students. The key was the overall ability and efficiency of each squad.

In the Falcon Squad, Luo Feng, as the captain and free player, was particularly diligent. Today, he even took on four roles: warrior, knight, thief, and archer, active in the front line, flanks, and rear.

Of course, Luo Feng was doing this to help his team achieve a higher ranking and overall evaluation.

His amount of battle aura far exceeded that of the other team members except for Aaron. If the others' battle aura was depleted, it would be useless for him to have a lot left, as Luo Feng was not yet strong enough to complete the internship task without the support of the team. Therefore, he made sure his battle aura consumption was in sync with the others. When everyone's battle aura was depleted together, the hunting efficiency was the highest. Luo Feng naturally had to expend more energy in each battle, which made the team members realize how terrifying his endurance was.

Based on the speed at which Luo Feng consumed his battle aura as a free player, a rough calculation showed that his battle aura was at least twice that of the others.

With a similar level of battle aura, but twice the amount, what did that mean?

Don't forget, his magic aura had no attribute, which would normally make his battle aura lower than average.

No one could understand why Luo Feng's battle aura was so astonishing, but they knew that this captain was very capable, and being on the same team as him was definitely lucky.

At dusk, the squads returned to the camp in town one by one, submitting their prey. The judges responsible for scoring began to count and record the results.

When the last squad's prey was counted, the person in charge of the internship task stepped forward, and everyone fell silent, eagerly awaiting the results to see how their team had performed and what rank they had achieved.

"Students, I am pleased to see that through the internship task, you have gradually become familiar with hunting methods and rules, growing from inexperienced to mature, understanding the importance of unity, cooperation, sacrifice, and mutual encouragement among teammates. This is the significance of the internship task, which not only gives us experience but also the spirit of teamwork. Now, let's announce the rankings for the final day of the internship task!"

Taking out the record book, the person in charge announced, "First place, from Saint De Academy, Squad 9, Captain Solan!"

Ten people in the crowd cheered, clearly the members of Squad 9. This squad was indeed very strong, with each member being quite excellent. Captain Solan was a big name at Saint De Academy, and his father was the leader of a large S-grade mercenary group. He had received professional higher education from a young age, making him naturally skilled in hunting and team combat. It was no surprise that they topped the list.

"Second place, from Saint De Academy, Squad 13, Captain Leander!"

"Third place, from Saint De Academy, Squad 2, Captain Mary!"

"Fourth place, from Saint De Academy, Squad 19, Captain Nate."

"Fifth place, from Starlight Academy..."

When the fifth place was announced, there was a stir in the crowd, as everyone was surprised.

In previous internship tasks, not only the top five but even the top ten were usually dominated by squads from Saint De Academy. It was a significant achievement for a squad from Starlight Academy to rank fifth.

Even the person in charge paused, checking to see if he had made a mistake, before continuing, "Squad 16, Captain Luo Feng!"

The crowd from Saint De Academy was even more surprised.

Luo Feng, again Luo Feng. This name, which had once caused a stir due to the two beauties, Qi Qi and Scarlett, and had been relatively quiet for a while, was now being mentioned again.

What magic did this guy from a humble background at Starlight Academy possess? He had caused such a stir before, and now the team he led had become a dark horse that everyone was watching.

The high ranking was a bit of a surprise to Luo Feng as well. Although he felt the Falcon Squad had performed exceptionally well today, especially Aaron, who had played a crucial role in several battles, he had expected to be around the tenth place. This ranking was much higher than he had anticipated.

The members of the Falcon Squad were stunned for a moment before bursting into enthusiastic cheers. They were clearly very pleased, while Aaron remained calm.

"Pfft, if I hadn't held back, we would have been first place, no problem!"

Squad 7, which had once mocked Luo Feng and his team, ranked eighth. Although it was a mid-to-high ranking, Totti and the others were not happy because the team they looked down upon was three places higher than them.

After the announcement, the Falcon Squad could celebrate freely. Terry laughed heartily, "Great, we're fifth place!"

Xiangxie was also very happy, "Yes, I never even dared to dream of such a ranking. In previous internship tasks, a squad from Starlight Academy ranking in the top twenty was already considered a success."

Michael nodded, "Hehe, I have to thank our excellent captain. Otherwise, we might have been at the bottom!"

"Indeed, if not for the captain's excellent command and his role as a free player, we wouldn't have hunted half as many magical beasts."

"..."

Everyone showered Luo Feng with sincere praise, as his role and performance in the team were truly outstanding.

Luo Feng was quite humble, "No, we are a team, and this is the result of everyone's efforts. Without any one of us, we wouldn't have achieved this. So, if we are to pay tribute, let's pay tribute to the team spirit!"

"Hehe, well said!" A rough voice suddenly interrupted, and the five members of the Battle Blade Mercenary Group appeared.

It was the warrior, Rock, who spoke. Coming to the group, he continued, "To be honest, when I was assigned as your squad's mentor, I thought I had drawn the short straw. When you chose a captain with no attribute in his magic aura, I was even more frustrated..."

His words caused a burst of laughter from the Falcon Squad. Rock's tone then changed, "But now, I have to admit, I was wrong, twice. You are an excellent squad, and Luo Feng is an excellent captain. I believe you will become even better. Although this internship task is over, your growth is far from finished. Now, I truly believe that you have the potential to become... the highest-flying falcons!"

Everyone was moved, feeling even more proud to receive the approval of these strict old mercenaries than to achieve a high ranking in the internship task.
