At this moment, if someone from the Du family saw this old man addressing Du Shaofu in such a manner, they would likely be shocked to the point of causing a commotion in the entire Du family.

Who was this old man? He was none other than Fu Yibai, the venerable elder. Even the head of the family would bow and salute him, yet he called a fool from the Du family "big brother." It was no wonder that this would shock everyone.

"I came to see you and thought I might as well take a look around the Martial Arts Pavilion."

Du Shaofu seemed quite satisfied with Fu Yibai's behavior. However, when Fu Yibai heard that Du Shaofu wanted to go to the Martial Arts Pavilion, he immediately frowned, revealing his somewhat yellowed old front teeth, and said to Du Shaofu, "What are you going in there for? You should know that not everyone can enter and exit the Martial Arts Pavilion at will."

"Don't forget, I'm your big brother. What, do you have a problem with that?"

Du Shaofu stared straight at Fu Yibai, not giving the old man a good face. He raised his eyebrows and said lightly, "Do you remember how we swore back then? Whoever loses has to call the winner 'big brother' and unconditionally obey the big brother. If you violate this oath, you'll suffer from frequent urination and hemorrhoids for the rest of your life!"

"No problem, no problem, who made you my big brother, anyway."

Hearing Du Shaofu's words, Fu Yibai immediately wilted, his face breaking into a bright smile. He chuckled softly and said, "Go ahead, I'll keep an eye out for you. You can look at whatever you want, and if you need anything, just let me know."

"Good, Old Bai, I like your attitude. Don't worry, I promised you I wouldn't embarrass you in front of others." Du Shaofu patted Fu Yibai's shoulder in satisfaction and then strode into the Martial Arts Pavilion.

"If only this little rascal were really a fool, but unfortunately, he's just pretending."

Watching Du Shaofu's back, Fu Yibai gritted his teeth in frustration. If he had known back then, he wouldn't have made such a harsh vow.

Thinking about the bet they made back then, Fu Yibai still felt like crying. For years, he couldn't understand how he could have lost, especially to a fool.

In his entire life, Fu Yibai had only lost this one bet, and it was a loss he couldn't understand. He had even made a curse, and thinking about that curse, he couldn't help but touch his shriveled buttocks.

"Venerable Elder Fu, I have been ordered to go to the second floor to select a set of martial arts techniques."

At this moment, a well-dressed young man ran out happily. Being able to come to the Martial Arts Pavilion to select martial arts techniques was a reward for those who had achieved something in the clan.

"What martial arts techniques are you going to choose? What's the point of learning so many? You can't digest too much at once. Clean the floor first."

Fu Yibai's mood was not good, and his face immediately darkened. He threw the old broom in his hand to the young man and left without looking back.

"Yes, Venerable Elder Fu."

The young man's happy face turned into one of委屈 (grievance), but he had no choice. He grabbed the broom and started cleaning diligently, not daring to slack off at all.

The Martial Arts Pavilion was not the first place Du Shaofu had visited. Although he didn't always come in a very proper manner, he knew exactly where the Du family's cultivation techniques and martial arts techniques were stored.

This time, Du Shaofu's purpose in entering the Martial Arts Pavilion was to find a suitable cultivation technique.

Cultivation techniques were divided into four levels: Heaven, Earth, Mystery, and Yellow. The strongest was the Heaven level, and the weakest was the Yellow level. Each level was further divided into three grades: initial, intermediate, and advanced.

The main cultivation techniques used by the main branch of the Du family were three. The strongest one was called the "Purple Qi of the Rising Sun Scripture," which was at the initial Mystery level. Only the head of the family and a few important clan members could cultivate it.

The other clan members mostly cultivated the "Mystic Yang Vigor Technique" and the "Bright Moon Technique," which were at the advanced Yellow level.

Du Shaofu easily ascended to the third floor of the Martial Arts Pavilion, where the high-grade martial arts techniques and cultivation techniques were stored.

Since he planned to cultivate a technique, Du Shaofu decided to choose a high-grade one. Since no one in the clan paid attention to him, he didn't care about breaking the rules. Sometimes, being seen as a fool had its advantages. If he was discovered, he would deal with it later. He would cultivate first.

The third floor of the Martial Arts Pavilion was very spacious, with not too many items placed around, exuding an ancient aura. Of course, the number of people who could directly enter the third floor of the Martial Arts Pavilion was limited. Apart from the head of the Du family, few could enter as freely as Du Shaofu did.

"Where is the Purple Qi of the Rising Sun Scripture?"

Du Shaofu wanted to find the highest-level Purple Qi of the Rising Sun Scripture, but after searching the entire third floor, he couldn't find it. He did see the "Mystic Yang Vigor Technique" and the "Bright Moon Technique," but he didn't want to cultivate these.

"Whoosh!"

Suddenly, while Du Shaofu was searching, a gust of wind came from behind him, and a powerful force instantly reached his back.

"Who is it?"

Du Shaofu's eyes flashed with a sharp light. Instinctively, he quickly retreated and turned sideways, forming hand seals. A mysterious aura emanated from his body, forming strange arcs around him, converging in his palm. He clenched his fist, and a seal mark condensed, with faint runes dancing. He directly collided with the force behind him.

"Rip!"

The force dissipated, blowing back Du Shaofu's hair. He staggered backward three steps and finally steadied himself against the wall. He looked up, his sharp, black eyes blinking. The entire third floor of the Martial Arts Pavilion was empty, not even a ghost in sight.

"Huh, what is this?"

Seeing no one, Du Shaofu noticed a peculiar object. An item had fallen from a crevice in the corner of the wall above, landing right on his forehead.

If he hadn't retreated and shaken the wall just now, the item in the crevice wouldn't have fallen.

Du Shaofu reached out and picked up the object, which was a small tower made of ancient bronze, only the size of a thumb, and quite unremarkable. It was covered in thick dust, and it seemed no one had ever noticed it.

After examining the unremarkable small tower for a while, Du Shaofu found nothing special about it. It might just be a small trinket. He was more concerned about who had attacked him just now.

"Who was it?"

He put the small tower in his pocket and was still puzzled about who had attacked him. He decided to leave for now.

Although he didn't find the Purple Qi of the Rising Sun Scripture, since he had come to the Martial Arts Pavilion, Du Shaofu, with his character, wouldn't leave empty-handed. He couldn't cultivate the Purple Qi of the Rising Sun Scripture, but he could still cultivate martial arts techniques. He couldn't always rely on that mysterious move.

After briefly looking at some introductions to the martial arts techniques, Du Shaofu picked up a set and put it in his pocket. He then noticed something special nearby and also put it in his pocket.

Finally, Du Shaofu went to the second floor of the Martial Arts Pavilion to search again before leaving, satisfied.
