"Didn't I already blow you up?" Herbert's words were crystal clear, clearly indicating that he and the demon had a rather unpleasant past.
"Hehe... a briefcase bomb? What a great idea..."
The demon circled above Herbert on his demon glider, like a cat that had caught a mouse but wasn't in a hurry to eat it, playing with it first before making a move. He laughed, "Please, do you think I can't handle such an old trick as killing someone to silence them?"
Imir had already joined Kathleen, and they were with Lü Xiang and Felicia. It seemed the demon hadn't noticed them.
"It's the demon!" To their surprise, Kathleen and Lü Xiang were not unfamiliar with the demon, recognizing him immediately.
Lü Xiang's eyes narrowed, a sharp light in them: "Kathleen, you and your brother should leave here quickly."
"What about you?" Imir looked at Lü Xiang, his body subtly blocking his sister. He and Lü Xiang had exchanged no more than ten words all night, but each time, Lü Xiang gave him a completely different impression.
Now, he sensed an extreme danger from Lü Xiang, like facing Doctor Octopus. No, even more so than facing Doctor Octopus. Who exactly was this Lü Xiang?
"Damn it!" Felicia clenched her fists and glared at the demon wreaking havoc in the air. The opening party for the new technology center, which the Hardy family had invested in, was about to be ruined by this bomb-throwing madman.
Imir saw that Felicia's mother had already been escorted out by the Hardy family's bodyguards.
A few more bodyguards in black suits were rushing over, and Felicia directed them, "Don't worry about me, stop that madman! He must pay!"
"Yes!" The bodyguards nodded, standing in front of Felicia and immediately drawing their guns to shoot at the demon in the sky.
The Hardy family's bodyguards were indeed formidable.
Imir glanced at Kathleen behind him. Her expression didn't seem too panicked. She rationally suggested to Felicia, "It's too dangerous here. You should leave as soon as possible and arrange for the guests to evacuate."
Lü Xiang blinked and smiled at Kathleen, saying, "Yes, I agree with Miss Kathleen. Leave this to me."
As Lü Xiang spoke, he pulled out two weapons from his waist. These were modified firearms, firing 0.50 caliber rounds, almost as powerful as a heavy machine gun.
This guy still had the leisure to show his agreement with Kathleen, praising her suggestion as wise. Meanwhile, several men in suits stood up from the crowd, coldly drawing their guns and shooting at the demon.
Imir was stunned. How did Lü Xiang bring these men into the new technology center? Felicia nodded and said to Lü Xiang, "Then I'll leave this to you, Mr. Lü. I'll leave with my mother."
Lü Xiang didn't even look, casually shooting. The few bullets that posed a threat to the demon were all fired by him. "Don't worry. After all, we, the 'Mole Organization,' have a stake in this technology center. This bastard is declaring war on us by causing trouble here!"
As he spoke, he pulled the trigger, not even needing to aim. He locked onto the demon's flight path by instinct.
The modified firearms, even without extended barrels, had an effective range of 150 meters. In Lü Xiang's hands, they were deadly weapons, giving the demon a hard time.
"Herbert, it seems you were already lying in wait here. Did you take me for a fool who would walk right into your trap? I think we should find a quiet place to have a serious talk!"
The demon bent down, grabbing Herbert's expensive suit and lifting him into the air.
As for Herbert's son, Quentin, he had already fled in the chaos when the demon arrived, not caring about his father's fate.
"I wouldn't call you a fool." Spider-Man, who had appeared on the wall at some point, shot a web to snatch Herbert away. "That would be an insult to all the fools in the world!"
"Let me handle him, Mr. Herbert. You should go over there!" Spider-Man's gaze swept the hall and quickly spotted Imir and the others huddled together.
Spider-Man trusted Imir's abilities. As long as Herbert was under Imir's protection, the demon wouldn't be able to harm him.
"He's not listening to you." The demon's hand was empty, and he turned back, annoyed, pointing at Herbert.
Spider-Man looked back and saw that Herbert had no intention of going to Imir. Instead, he stumbled toward the backstage, wanting to leave as quickly as possible rather than stay with the madman. Gina Weaver was right; doing business with the demon was like inviting trouble.
"I didn't come for you, but I'm happy to kill two birds with one stone."
Taking advantage of Spider-Man's distraction, the demon pulled out a pumpkin bomb from his bag: "Spider-Man, happy Halloween, hehehehe..."
Almost as soon as the bomb hit the ground, Spider-Man had already leaped away. A loud explosion echoed, and a corner of the wall was blown apart.
Spider-Man wiped cold sweat from his forehead, realizing the demon's bombs had become more powerful. Fortunately, the demon had no special abilities and couldn't harm him.
No matter how powerful the bomb, it was useless if it didn't hit anyone.
"The Halloween party is over, and you, demon, should go back to hell!" Spider-Man shot a web at the chandelier on the ceiling and kicked out with one foot.
Faced with Spider-Man's kick, the demon had no idea how to defend himself. He wobbled and fell off his demon glider.
However, the demon wasn't so easily defeated. He moved his hand, and the unmanned demon glider followed him, landing steadily under his feet.
"Hey, you didn't have this ability the last time we met!" Spider-Man remembered that the first time he saw the demon, his demon glider was much smaller and didn't have the remote control feature.
