After entering through the north gate where we had left Muel, the children's faces noticeably brightened. Though no one spoke, their eager expressions suggested they were ready to drop to their knees if I suggested we start training right away. I chuckled, then pulled out a small pouch from my coat and tossed it to Ahn Hyun. Ahn Hyun, who was carrying a user on his back, looked flustered, but fortunately, Yoojeong managed to catch the pouch in time.
“Good job.”
“Don’t just praise me, give me a reward.”
“Here.”
I obediently pulled the user off my back and handed them to Yoojeong. Though she grumbled, she still took the user gently. Seeing Yoojeong exert herself a bit, I immediately spoke up.
“Do you know where there’s a decent inn? We have enough money, so book two rooms for a week. Eat dinner first. You can have whatever you want. After you’re done, go in and rest.”
“What about you?”
“I have something to do with Vivian. And I need to submit the exploration report.”
“We can come with you….”
“It’s better if I go alone. You can go in and rest first.”
Yoojeong’s expression darkened slightly, but she soon nodded. She clearly wanted to rest and was hungry, eager to get to the inn. Honestly, it was a bit of a hassle, but it was something that needed to be done.
After sending the kids off, I was finally alone with Vivian. She pouted at me and sighed deeply.
“I really can’t figure you out.”
“What do you mean?”
“You and the kids.”
Vivian gave me a sidelong glance, and I silently asked, “Why?” Vivian even waved her hand and raised her voice.
“They’re not baby birds. They just look at you and chirp, it’s annoying. And you’re the same. You can’t stop fussing over them. Watching you pamper them makes me want to pray for your soul. Why don’t you pat their butts too?”
“Is that how I am?”
“Is it? If so, I can whine and act like that too from now on?”
I raised my hand in response. Vivian rolled her eyes and sighed again. Just as she was about to start complaining, I moved my hand to her head.
“Are you…?”
“Are you feeling okay?”
Vivian, caught off guard by my sudden move, stammered and rolled her eyes. She eventually looked up at me cautiously and spoke.
“I’m… still okay. I can manage. But this hand… ow.”
After gently stroking her head, I turned around. She hesitated for a moment but soon followed closely behind. To build trust and get the most out of our partnership, I needed to be kind to her from time to time.
The streets of Muel were definitely more bustling than when we left in the morning. Most users were heading to the temple to submit their exploration reports, but there were still a few groups setting out for new adventures. I silently wished them good luck as I watched them leave at night.
Before heading to the temple, I first stopped at the user storage. It would have been awkward if the temple and storage were on opposite sides, but fortunately, they were in the same general direction. As I approached the temple, I could see more users milling about, though not as many as in Barbara.
The users’ gazes were also increasingly focused on Vivian. She lowered her head in embarrassment and pressed herself closer to me. The soft feeling on my back made me feel good, but it also drew envious glances.
At least the northern continent had strict military and law enforcement, allowing us to move around like this. If we were in the western continent, it would be like advertising, “I want you to eat me, so please do it quickly.” However, I wasn’t particularly worried. Once Vivian regained her strength, she would be a valuable asset. Most users wouldn’t even be able to touch her, let alone harm her.
Finally arriving at the user storage, I immediately took out a bottle of elixir and all my gold coins. I now had over 1200 gold coins. If I sold the gems and other items, it would be a substantial amount, far more than a typical new user would have. The more money I had, the easier my future plans would be. I had already decided how to use it, so I put the heavy money pouch in my coat.
“What’s that?”
I spun the bright yellow bottle, and Vivian’s curiosity was piqued. She leaned in closely, and I simply answered.
“Elixir.”
The word “elixir” had an impact beyond imagination. Vivian, who had a puzzled look at first, then snorted and flicked her nose, gesturing for me to hand it over.
“Hmph.”
“Do you know what an elixir is?”
“Duh. Alchemists make potions. The elixir is the pinnacle of that. I’ll believe you for now. Bring it over.”
“Why don’t you come and see for yourself.”
Vivian grumbled and leaned in. She carefully examined the elixir, and her expression grew increasingly strange. Just as she was about to reach out, I pulled the elixir away. She must have been a skilled alchemist, as her face became serious.
“This is… strange. Wait, don’t pull it away, bring it closer….”
“There’s no need. Just take a small sip.”
I was determined. Once I made a decision, I didn’t hesitate. I opened the sealed bottle and poured a small amount of elixir into the cap, then handed it to Vivian. She quickly took the cap, sniffed it, and swallowed it.
“Hmm….”
“How is it?”
“Wait… hmm? Uh… uh?”
After a moment, Vivian’s eyes widened, and she opened her mouth. She realized something was happening inside her body. I immediately activated my Third Eye to gather detailed information about her.

So this is Vivian’s full strength when fully recovered? I let out a small exclamation and looked at her with renewed interest. To reiterate, for mages and priests, magic ability points are the most important. Even if other abilities are average, a user with over 90 magic points would be highly sought after by any clan. In the Hollow Plain, mages were such beings.
Especially, the A+++ rank ability <Ruler of the 66 Demon Legion> was truly intriguing. While rare classes are not as powerful as secret classes, they possess abilities that are distinctly different from common classes. While common classes can be powerful if well-developed, rare classes can maximize efficiency in combat, and secret classes possess formidable <powers>. This is why users always hope for these two classes.
After organizing my thoughts, I turned my gaze forward. Vivian, who had been examining her body with a shocked expression, now had a desperate look, no, not just desperate, but completely dazed.
A moment of silence hung between us. But it was brief. Soon, Vivian clenched her teeth and lunged at me.
“Give it to meee!”
“Wow.”
I immediately extended my hand and placed it on her face. She tried to approach me, flailing her arms, but it was futile. Despite this, she became even more frantic, trying to grab the elixir from my hand.
“Give it! Give it! Give it to meee!”
“Not so fast. What if you spill it?”
“I won’t. Really. Please, give it to me!”
I pushed her away forcefully, but she immediately lunged at me again. I sighed and extended my hand again, this time aiming for her chest instead of her head. As she lunged into my arms, I felt a soft, fleshy mass in my right hand. Oh, it feels good.
“Ah!”
“Mmm. Good.”
“Huh? Ah? Uh?”
I fondled the breast in my hand, nodding. It had been a long time since I last touched a woman’s breast, and a strange pleasure washed over me. Vivian, startled by my touch, tried to pull away, but I didn’t let go. Her breast was still in my hand, and she finally stopped struggling.
“What are you doing! Let go! You idiot!”
“Dumb. Why did you lunge at me?”
She used the hands that were reaching for the elixir to forcefully remove my hand. Though a bit disappointed, I obediently let go. She rubbed her captured breast gently, tears welling up in her eyes.
“Sniff… What do I do… I’m dirty now.”
“Don’t make a fuss over just a breast. Anyway, this confirms that I can heal you with this, right?”
I leaned back, smirking, and Vivian nodded frantically. Her eyes were filled with the question of how I would give her the elixir. I chuckled and continued.
“Since I’ve decided to give it to you, just wait a bit. If you make one promise, I’ll give it to you.”
“I remember what you said in the dungeon.”
“You don’t even know what I’m going to do.”
My retort left Vivian speechless. However, she hadn’t fully recovered her noble intellect from her alchemist days and was eager for the elixir. This was the gap I was looking for. If she acted uncooperative or tried to run away, I would lose the precious elixir. So, I needed to be prepared.
“So, what do I have to do?”
“Hehe. Let’s make a contract.”
“A contract?”
Vivian tilted her head, and I smiled.
“Yes, a contract. Let’s go to the temple. We’ll submit the exploration report and draw up the contract there.”
============================ Author's Note ============================
I’ll post one more chapter. This way, I can keep my promise of daily updates. Hahaha.
Chapter 73 was written while enduring a lot of criticism, which was really heartbreaking.
I’m not sure if I can post the next chapter by midnight tomorrow. Anyway, I’ll maintain daily updates. (If it’s not up by midnight, just go to sleep. ㅜ.ㅠ)
When I post the next chapter, I’ll have to go back and fix typos and content from chapter 70 onwards.
I also need to catch up on reader comments.
I’m just writing, posting, and writing the afterword, but why do I feel so self-conscious? Hahaha.
I’m going to go to bed now. Phew… ㅜ.ㅠ
