Seeing several police officers storm into the clinic with a fierce demeanor, Wu Potian subconsciously released the young man's wrist and stood up from the table, asking in confusion, "Officers, what are you doing here?"

The police officers, upon hearing Wu Potian's inquiry, had the leading officer respond with a stern face, "We are from the Han City Police Department, Public Security Division. We received a report that someone at this clinic is practicing medicine without a license. Please show us the clinic's relevant certificates and your medical practice license."

Hearing the police officer's words, Wu Potian glanced at the young man sitting at the examination table and suddenly realized what was happening. If he remembered correctly, this young man had visited their clinic before, and not long after, he received a distress call. At this moment, he vaguely felt that a conspiracy against him was quietly brewing.

"Mr. Officer! If I'm not mistaken, our clinic falls under the jurisdiction of the Health Bureau, and you don't have the authority to inspect our clinic's relevant certificates," Wu Potian said, realizing that this was a plot against their clinic. The first person he thought of was Xu Guozheng, with whom he had a conflict the previous night. His face instantly turned grim, and he questioned the police officers with extreme hostility.

The police officers were clearly taken aback by Wu Potian's questioning. In their careers, they had never encountered an investigation subject who dared to question them like this. However, they were on a mission this time, and they completely ignored Wu Potian's questioning. The leading officer replied with a serious face, "You are correct; your clinic does fall under the jurisdiction of the Health Bureau. However, someone reported that you are practicing medicine without a license. According to Article 336 of our country's Criminal Law, practicing medicine without a medical practice license is illegal."

"If you have a medical practice license, then it falls under the jurisdiction of the Health Bureau. If you don't, it means you have violated our country's Criminal Law, and the police department has the authority to investigate."

Chen Yuemei, who was about to buy groceries, was initially confused when she saw the police enter. However, her face turned pale when she heard the police officer's words. Having worked in the clinic with her husband for many years, she knew very well what practicing medicine without a license meant. She quickly interjected, "Comrades! Are you mistaken? My husband is the doctor at our clinic. My son is just helping out and has never treated any patients."

"What! This guy is not a doctor? If he's not a doctor, how dare you treat me? Are you trying to play with people's lives?" The young man, upon hearing Chen Yuemei's words, first looked surprised, then became extremely angry, pointing at Wu Potian and loudly questioning him.

The leading police officer, upon hearing the young man's words, smiled meaningfully and questioned Chen Yuemei, "Didn't you just say your son was only helping out? Do you have anything else to say?"

The leading police officer's tone suddenly became extremely stern, and he ordered the several auxiliary police officers behind him, "Take this illegal practitioner away and seal this black-hearted clinic that plays with people's lives."

Wu Potian knew that the other party was clearly trying to ruin him, but he was not the type to be a passive victim. When he saw the auxiliary police officers approaching with handcuffs, he immediately stopped them, saying, "Wait! You are accusing me of illegal practice based on one-sided words. Isn't that too hasty?"

"Hasty? We always rely on evidence when handling cases. Now we have caught you red-handed. Do you think you can deny it?" The leading police officer, seeing Wu Potian's fearless demeanor, was not concerned. He had seen similar situations countless times and even enjoyed the sense of accomplishment from catching the culprit.

Although Wu Potian knew that the other party was deliberately targeting him, he was not afraid. He replied with a serious face, "All the patients here know that my father is the one responsible for treating patients at our clinic. This gentleman said he had a stomachache, and my father happened to be out on a house call. In this situation, I only acted out of humanitarianism to help this gentleman, but I did not treat him."

"To catch a thief, you need to catch him in the act. I only took this gentleman's pulse and did not treat him or prescribe any medication. On what grounds do you accuse me of illegal practice? Moreover, based on the pulse I took, I found that he was not sick at all. When he came in, he said he was in excruciating pain, but now he seems perfectly fine. This makes me suspect that you are colluding with criminals to extort our clinic under the pretext of illegal practice."

The patients who came to the Wu family clinic were either neighbors from the surrounding area or had come because of Dr. Wu Qing's medical skills. These patients were all regulars at the Wu family clinic and had absolute confidence in it. Therefore, none of them would believe that the Wu family clinic was a black-hearted clinic.

As the saying goes, the eyes of the public are sharp. When the patients saw the police taking Wu Potian and sealing the Wu family clinic, their first thought was that the clinic had offended someone. When they heard Wu Potian's words, they all echoed his sentiments and began to protest against the police.

"What's wrong with you police? You only bully honest people. We have been coming to the Wu family clinic for years. If it were a black-hearted clinic, wouldn't we all be sick by now? Instead, the public hospitals are the ones that are black-hearted. The doctors there treat us like blood-sucking leeches, trying to extort money from us. If you have the ability, go investigate those doctors. Bullying honest people here is no skill."

"Right! Right! Right! The police today are just scoundrels in tiger skins, more despicable than the puppet troops and bandits of the past. They can't do their job properly and only help the wicked bully the common people. If you have the ability, go guard Diaoshai Island. The Japanese have already occupied it, and you are showing off here. What kind of skill is that?"

A patient sitting in the corner, seeing the young man standing there as if nothing had happened, immediately used his imagination and realized the truth behind the scene. He said discontentedly, "This young man was sitting next to me earlier, then ran out for a while, and came back saying he had a stomachache. Before the police arrived, Dr. Wu hadn't even treated him. Isn't that too coincidental? Also, this young man was in excruciating pain earlier, but now he's fine when he sees the police. Can the police really cure people? I think you are colluding with criminals to frame the Wu family clinic and then extort money."
