Chapter 57

When Wang Hu heard the ringtone of his mobile phone, he instinctively took it out of his pocket. Upon seeing the caller ID, his expression immediately changed. He quickly said to Chen Shengping, who was sitting at the desk deep in thought, "Old Leader! It's a call from my classmate's home. I guess it's Uncle Wu calling to inquire about Po Tian."

As he spoke, Wang Hu picked up the phone and put it to his ear. Before he could say anything, Chen Yuemei's voice reached his ear first, "Hu Zi! Have you seen Xiao Tian? Did they beat him up? I want you to know, Xiao Tian is not practicing medicine illegally; he has a medical practice license!"

"Auntie! What are you saying, Po Tian has a medical practice license? Didn't he say he would take the exam later? What's going on?" When Wang Hu heard Chen Yuemei say that Wu Po Tian had a medical practice license, he was initially delighted. However, when he recalled what Wu Po Tian had said yesterday, his first thought was that Wu Qing Sheng and his wife had bought a fake certificate. He gently confirmed this with Chen Yuemei.

"Hu Zi! The specific situation you need to ask Xiao Tian. Just now, I received a package from the Yanjing Health Bureau. At the time, I didn't know it contained Xiao Tian's medical practice license. It wasn't until Professor Qiu, Xiao Tian's teacher, called that we found out the package contained the license." Chen Yuemei, after all, was just a housewife and had no idea that Wang Hu would suspect them of getting a fake certificate for Wu Po Tian. Otherwise, she would have given Wang Hu a good scolding.

Hearing Chen Yuemei's explanation, Wang Hu felt particularly relieved. He quickly said to Chen Yuemei, "Auntie! With Po Tian's medical practice license, the Public Security Bureau can't do anything to him. I'll send someone to pick it up, and you just wait for my good news!"

Wang Hu hung up the phone and excitedly said to Chen Shengping, who was sitting at the desk, "Old Leader! I never thought my classmate wasn't practicing medicine without a license. This time, I'll make Xu Chunming that old man trip over his own feet. Just wait for my good news!" With that, he rushed out of Chen Shengping's office like a gust of wind.

Wang Hu hurriedly walked out of Chen Shengping's office and quickly dialed a phone number, instructing, "The task I asked you to do this morning, you can proceed with it now."

After Wang Hu finished the call, he picked up his phone again, intending to send someone to Wu Po Tian's home. However, as he was halfway through dialing the number, a figure suddenly appeared in his mind.

This figure was Lin Xiaoqing. Wang Hu had been actively promoting the relationship between Wu Po Tian and Lin Xiaoqing for two reasons: one, he was moved by Lin Xiaoqing's persistence, and the other, he had accidentally discovered Lin Xiaoqing's identity.

Thinking of Lin Xiaoqing's identity, Wang Hu quickly looked up her phone number on his phone and called her.

Since parting ways with Wu Po Tian last night, Lin Xiaoqing's mind was filled with thoughts of Wu Po Tian. This led to her insomnia and distracted her during the day. She tried to call Wu Po Tian several times but found that he wasn't using his phone, which made her very angry. She thought to herself, "This guy, he didn't even call me this morning. Is his father's clinic so busy that he doesn't have time to call? I don't even know their home phone number. Should I call Wang Hu to ask?"

"Wang Hu, that scoundrel, if I call him, he might laugh at me. I won't do it."

"I've been persistent for so long for this bad guy. Do I really care about their laughter? I'll call him. If he dares to laugh at me, I'll show him."

Just as Lin Xiaoqing was hesitating about whether to call Wang Hu, her phone rang, pulling her out of her dilemma.

Lin Xiaoqing took her phone out of her small handbag and, seeing Wang Hu's number, her face showed a puzzled expression. She thought, "Even if we have a connection, it should be with Po Tian, not Wang Hu."

Despite her curiosity, Lin Xiaoqing picked up the phone and asked Wang Hu, "Captain Wang! Why are you calling me during work hours? Aren't you afraid the efficiency office will catch you slacking off?"

On the other end of the phone, Wang Hu, who would have teased Lin Xiaoqing in the past despite her cold personality, now wanted to leave immediately for the Public Security Bureau. He didn't waste time and directly said to Lin Xiaoqing, "Xiao Qing! I'm calling you now because there's something very important. I want to tell you that because of what happened last night, Po Tian was framed by Xu Chunming and his son for practicing medicine without a license and was taken away by the Public Security Bureau."

"What! Wang Hu! What did you say? Xu Guozheng, that scoundrel, framed Po Tian and had him taken away by the Public Security Bureau? When did this happen? Why are you only calling me now?" Lin Xiaoqing's face, which had a slight smile, instantly turned dark, like a thousand-year-old ice, making anyone who approached feel a chill.

Although Wang Hu and Lin Xiaoqing were several kilometers apart, Lin Xiaoqing's response made Wang Hu feel a chill. Considering the methods of the Public Security Bureau, he didn't want his brother to suffer inside. He immediately said to Lin Xiaoqing, "Xiao Qing! I just received a call from Auntie and found out about this. To prevent Po Tian from being harmed, I need to rush to the Public Security Bureau right away."

"They dare! Wang Hu! I'll head to the Public Security Bureau immediately. We'll meet there." Lin Xiaoqing's eyes shot a sharp glance, and she ordered Wang Hu in a commanding tone.

Wang Hu called Lin Xiaoqing partly because she was the best person to get the medical practice license and partly to use her background to get rid of Xu Chunming. He quickly said to Lin Xiaoqing, "Xiao Qing! There's something I need you to do. Go to Po Tian's home and bring his medical practice license to the Public Security Bureau. I want to see how those scoundrels will handle this!"

If it were a normal day, Lin Xiaoqing would have been nervous and well-dressed before going to Wu Po Tian's home. But at this moment, with her mind focused on Wu Po Tian's safety, she didn't have time for such concerns. She immediately and resolutely replied, "Okay! Wang Hu! I'll go to Po Tian's home. You get to the Public Security Bureau as soon as possible and make sure to stop Xu Guozheng from taking advantage of the situation to retaliate against Po Tian."
