32.
Eunseo insisted, but Seo Hyunwoo disagreed with her. Without looking at her, he spoke in a gentle but firm voice.
“No, you don’t have to do this, Miss Kang. You just focus on your own work.”
Eunseo began to panic. She knew Seo Hyunwoo was only trying to help, and she was thankful. But if she didn’t take this duty, she was going to be in trouble. Kwon Jihwan took a lot of effort to get this organized, so if someone else ended up doing this job, it was going to be troublesome.
To Eunseo’s surprise, she was unintentionally rescued by someone very unexpected.
“Everybody is busy, and so shouldn’t we consider seniority?”
It was Hong Yeri who commented sharply.
“It might only be two hours, but it’s going to be everyday. That means a huge loss in talent, and so it makes perfect sense that the newest designer takes on this duty. Losing a senior designer’s work every day would be detrimental. For example, all of our work needs to be checked and confirmed by Seo Hyunwoo before reaching you, Team Leader. So if Mr. Seo is away answering phones every day, don’t you think this will cause a huge delay?”
Everyone seemed to agree with Hong Yeri’s logic. Even Seo Hyunwoo seemed awkward, unable to argue.
Eunseo didn’t care that Hong Yeri said this out of spite. She was just grateful. Eunseo chimed in,
“I agree with Miss Hong. I really think I should be the one doing this job.”
Heesun offered,
“Then I’ll go, Eunseo.”
But Eunseo shook her head.
“No, you’ve been having a lot of doctor’s appointments lately, right? If you take this duty, you might have to miss those. Are you sure it will be okay?”
“Well, that…”
Heesun murmured, knowing Eunseo was right.

Eunseo said to both Heesun and Seo Hyunwoo,
“Thank you so much for thinking of me. I really appreciate it. But this doesn’t bother me at all, so I don’t mind. I will make sure this doesn’t interfere with my existing duties.”
After the meeting, Seo Hyunwoo approached Eunseo and asked,
“Are you sure about this?”
“Of course. I don’t have a lot of duties yet, remember?”
When Eunseo smiled, Seo Hyunwoo seemed a little hesitant. He mumbled,
“That’s not what I meant…”
“Then what do you mean?”
Eunseo looked up at him in confusion, and in the end, Seo Hyunwoo just shook his head.
“Never mind.”

That day at 2 o’clock, Kwon Jihwan heard a knock on his door.
“It’s Kang Eunseo. May I come in?”
Eunseo announced from outside the door. The secretary already left in excitement about his Chinese lesson. Jihwan, who had been waiting impatiently, rushed toward the door.
The moment he opened the door, Jihwan saw that Eunseo’s hands were empty. He looked around before asking,
“What about your breast pump? Where is it?”
Kang Eunseo, looking determined like a soldier about to go to war, replied,
“Let’s make a deal.”
“Hmm?”
“Yesterday, you said we should make a deal, remember Mr. Kwon?”
Did she mean…
His heart began beating much faster, Kwon Jihwan had to make an effort to keep his face calm. He asked,
“May I ask why you changed your mind so suddenly?”
“I don’t want to be indebted to you. I would feel much better if you get something out of this too.”
“You don’t want to owe me? Is that it?”
“Yes, that’s right,” Eunseo replied.
“Well, I have no objections, of course. Then I guess we have a deal.”
Kwon Jihwan was about to usher her inside, but Eunseo shook her head. She stood where she was and announced,
“But just to remind you that I have someone else I like.”
Jihwan frowned a little and asked,
“Yes, I already know that. So why are you saying that again?”
“I’m just letting you know so that you won’t develop any feelings for me. I want this to be nothing more than a business deal.”
This was exactly what Jihwan was planning, but he didn’t like hearing it from Eunseo. Feeling a little annoyed, he crossed his arms and muttered,
“I believe I told you before too that I am not interested in you, Miss Kang.”
“Good. I’m glad.”
Eunseo replied and entered Jihwan’s office.

It was the middle of the day, so even with the window blinds closed, it wasn’t completely dark inside the office. Kwon Jihwan began taking his suit jacket off and loosening his tie. Watching him, Eunseo couldn’t help but stare. When Jihwan undid his cuffs and rolled up his sleeves, she thought he looked like a model in a magazine.
All he wore was a suit just like any other man. Yet Jihwan looked so sexy for some reason. He was born with a luxurious look.
Compared to him… Eunseo slumped a little, feeling embarrassed. Her turtle neck sweater was getting thin from overuse. Her boring black pants looked shabby compared to his suit. And except for her voluptuous breasts, Eunseo was too thin. She didn’t have a great body as Jihwan did.
