Chapter 63.

Eunseo closed her eyes.

She had tried making wishes many times before. Her birthday, Christmas, and while watching the moon on Thanksgiving night… And every time, she wished for the same thing.

Eunseo always wished that her horrible illness would disappear.

But today, she wished for something different. Eunseo thought of something just now, and she prayed for it to come true.

When she opened her eyes, she saw Jihwan open his eyes as well. It seemed that he made a wish as well.

Eunseo asked, “Mr. Kwon, what did you wish for?”

“It’s a secret.” Jihwan grinned and asked, “How about you, Miss Kang?”

“Mine is a secret too.” Eunseo smiled.

Her wish was that this Christmas would never end.

There were many rooms in Jihwan’s house, but only Jihwan’s bedroom had a bed. No one ever visited him, so Jihwan never thought it was necessary to buy more beds.

So Eunseo ended up sleeping in Jihwan’s bedroom while Jihwan slept on the living room sofa. Jihwan’s pajamas were too big for Eunseo, and they made her look like a small kid.

Kang Eunseo bowed to him and bid him good night before going into his room to sleep.

Jihwan laid down on the sofa to sleep, but he remained wide awake. He tossed and turned for a long time before deciding to sneak into his bedroom.

Eunseo slept a long time in the hospital, but she was sleeping again very soundly in his bed. Perhaps it was the cold medicine that made her sleepy. Her breathing was even, and Jihwan sat down next to the bed and watched Eunseo sleep.

He couldn’t believe she was sleeping in his bed so deeply when he couldn’t sleep at all. Just the fact that Eunseo was in his house was making him feel excited. He found her so lovely sleeping like this, but he also was a little annoyed that she could sleep when he was so nearby.

Earlier when he told her he might be interested in her, Eunseo seemed so determined to end their relationship. Jihwan quickly told her he was just joking because he was afraid she might really leave him.

Jihwan sighed deeply. So did he not have a chance at all?

Eunseo opened her eyes when she smelled steak. His pajamas were way too big for her as she began walking toward the kitchen. Like a proper chef, the man in a white apron was cooking when he turned around.

“Ah, there you are, Miss Kang.”

“Good morning, Mr. Kwon. I hope you slept well.”

Eunseo peaked at the frying pan and saw that there indeed was a giant steak.

Jihwan asked, “How are you feeling this morning?”

Eunseo felt so much better. It was probably thanks to the medicine and a goodnight’s sleep. She could feel her breasts becoming heavy, which indicated that they were producing milk at a normal rate again.

Eunseo replied, “I think I’m fine now. Thank you so much.”

“I’m glad to hear it. Please have a seat. It’s time for breakfast.” Jihwan placed the plate on the table. The steak was cooked very well and it was adorned with asparagus on the side.

Jihwan began cutting the meat for her and announced, “You remember what the doctor told you yesterday, right? He said you need to eat lots of meat.”

That was true, but a steak for breakfast?

After cutting up all of the meat into bite-size, Jihwan pushed the plate toward her and ordered, “Now, you have to eat all of it.”

“Aren’t you going to eat too, Mr. Kwon?”

“Why would I eat a steak so early in the morning? I can’t.”

Eunseo blinked and asked, “But what about me? Why should I eat it?”

“Because the doctor ordered it, Miss Kang.”

Eunseo didn’t feel like eating meat so early in the morning either, but her boss cooked it for her. She couldn’t complain about the food like a child, so she picked up the fork.

Eunseo didn’t think she would be able to eat too much, but once she began eating, she found the steak delicious. Jihwan watched her with a satisfied smile.

He said to her, “You are such a great eater, Miss Kang.”

“I…I’m only eating because you told me to, Mr. Kwon.”
