"YOU bunch of scumbags, human trash, stinky dog shit!"

"YOU are the dog shit, garbage, and effeminate bastards!"

The commotion woke Zhang Huen from the darkness. He got up from the ground, which was covered with yellow sand, and found himself naked, as were the people around him. The men stood in the corners, swinging their genitalia with a glint in their eyes, while the women trembled, covering their private parts. Their eyes reflected a sense of innocence and misfortune, and a despairing atmosphere spread throughout the oppressive cell.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

The cheers from the spectators above grew louder, and dirt and dust fell through the gaps in the wooden boards. The audience was already riled up, their thirst for blood needing to be quenched by the blood of the slaves. The unfortunate group before them was merely a toy to entertain others.

The cell was crowded, with black marks on the wooden grilles around it. There were no windows, only a tightly closed wooden door. Sunlight filtered through the gaps above, making the cell not entirely dark. The crowded cell was filled with 200 male and female slaves, and the mix of sweat, body odor, and other smells was nauseating.

"Newcomer, get lost!"

A rough voice sounded behind him. Zhang Huen quickly took a step forward and turned to face the muscular man, who was shorter than him by two heads and had a fierce expression. A blue light screen appeared in his eyes:

"Test Gladiator Slave No. 119—Actor: Li Gang

Status: Healthy (BUFF: None)

Subconscious: Tyrannical (Basic)

Attention: 0

Income: 0"

(What is this? Didn't I click on the test page? ... No, how do I know I'm Zhang Huen? How can I retain my real-world consciousness? Could it be that ad? Heaven, what the hell is going on?)

Zhang Huen, whose mind was in a state of confusion, noticed another light screen. The data appeared in his eyes:

"Test Gladiator Slave No. 277—Actor: Zhang Huen

Status: Strong (BUFF: None)

Subconscious: Cowardly (Advanced) (Blocked)

Attention: 0

Income: 0"

Zhang Huen stood there, dumbfounded, watching the light in his eyes gradually fade. No. 119, growing impatient, jumped up and slapped him. Zhang Huen, standing at 1.88 meters tall, remained motionless and received a slap, which immediately extinguished the questions in his mind.

(This feeling is incredibly real.)

In "The Great Jianghu," he had been beaten by his senior, junior, nephew, servants, and even non-martial artists. These experiences left him bewildered after watching the recordings. Despite his tall and strong build, how could he be bullied to the point of having no way out?

(It turns out my subconscious is cowardly, and even at an advanced level. No wonder I struggled for over three years and still ended up being laid off.)

Zhang Huen stood there, his right cheek swelling up. A 2-meter-tall man being slapped by a 1.75-meter-tall "shorty" was a bizarre sight.

The other slaves around him either gloated, showed sympathy, or pretended not to notice. In this era, there were always villains and cowards, and such scenes were nothing new.

Outside the arena, in the void, an observer with a God's-eye view—Su Li from the Continental Shelf Company's personnel department—also noticed this scene. As the sole audience member in this test world, she existed as a spiritual entity.

She had just inspected the authenticity of the surroundings, replaced a few repetitive extras, and, with nothing else to do, had taken a God's-eye view to wander above the arena. A crisp slap caught her attention.

Su Li, a senior college student interning at the Continental Shelf Company through connections, had never imagined that being an observer would involve such explicit and violent scenes. Watching a group of naked men swinging their genitals, her face had been red the entire time.

An observer, by definition, observes. They look for promising candidates who can serve as stepping stones for their advancement. Discovering a person with a strong subconscious can bring many benefits, making the role of an observer highly sought after.

Many observers, upon finding exceptional candidates, used various means to become their agents, thus transitioning from employees to entrepreneurs. Su Li, of course, had similar aspirations, so she was very invested in this selection, hoping to find a few high-quality candidates.

(No. 277—Zhang Huen, male, 32 years old, former employee of the Goose City Machinery Factory. After the factory's closure, he worked as an extra, having served at the Golden Hundred Flowers Company and participated in "The Great Jianghu." Overall evaluation: 0 points. Laid off yesterday.)

Seeing the muscular man being slapped without any reaction, Su Li immediately gave him a poor rating. It seemed that a waste of a man was still a waste, no matter where he was, and it was a shame to have such a strong and muscular body.

(He must be scared stiff.)

In five seconds, Zhang Huen recalled all the humiliations he had endured in "The Great Jianghu." When he came to his senses and realized that No. 119 had already slapped him, his face turned red. The past humiliations flashed through his mind like a slideshow. Looking at the vicious No. 119, he saw the sum of all those who had insulted, tormented, and trampled him.

(This is a movie world, not reality. Do I need to be polite to you?)

"Damn you!"

Zhang Huen swung his claw at No. 119's shoulder. In "The Great Jianghu," he had trained in the Eagle Claw style for over a decade, and his skills were nearly perfect. However, due to his cowardly nature, he had never fought anyone, so he didn't know how effective his skills were.

The real movie world was like a virtual world, with no connection to the real world. Even if you became a master in the movie, you would still be roasting sweet potatoes or selling rice cakes in reality.

However, Zhang Huen's current state was strange. The various techniques of the Eagle Claw style were imprinted in his mind, and his body moved naturally without any stiffness. He easily executed the basic grabbing techniques of the Eagle Claw style.

Although Li Gang had a basic level of tyranny in his subconscious, he was essentially a slave with no fighting experience. Caught off guard by Zhang Huen's sudden attack, he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder and quickly retreated, cursing loudly.

"Brat, you dare to fight back?"

But Zhang Huen wasn't just fighting back. He wouldn't let him off easily to quench his anger. Knowing that he was in a movie and that killing wouldn't result in punishment, Zhang Huen had no qualms. He dug his claws into Li Gang's shoulder, tearing out a chunk of flesh.

Blood gushed from Li Gang's wound, and he screamed, falling to the ground. His eyes, which had been filled with hatred, now showed fear. Subconsciousness determined fate, and Li Gang, who was used to being tyrannical in the real movie world, never expected his opponent to be even more ruthless.

Li Gang, watching Zhang Huen approach, used his right hand to push himself back on the sandy ground. As he moved, the other slaves around him also retreated, not wanting to get involved in the fight.

Su Li, hidden nearby, was stunned. She hadn't expected this man, who had seemed so weak earlier, to have such a strong subconscious. Moreover, his skills suggested he was a trained fighter. Trained fighters in the Great Xia were already recruited by major film companies and were making big money in various martial arts and action films, not running around as extras.

"Don't come closer, don't come closer!"

Li Gang was completely overwhelmed. In his memory, he was a formidable gladiator slave in the Qinatz territory, the best in the slave camp. Being sent to the arena was just a formality, and he would eventually become a regular gladiator, possibly even gaining freedom. He thought the other slaves would be easy to handle, but he hadn't expected to encounter a tough opponent.

No. 119 kept retreating, causing the slaves against the wall to move to the sides. Zhang Huen walked step by step toward him, knowing that there were observers from the Continental Shelf Company nearby. Since he had already shown his ruthlessness, he decided to be even more ruthless to impress them and secure his future as an actor.

His large strides, combined with his well-trained muscles, made him look like a human bulldozer as he approached No. 119.

"Scum! Which hand did you use to hit me?"

Zhang Huen's eyes filled Li Gang with despair. He knew this slave wouldn't let him go. Cornered, Li Gang, in a last desperate attempt, lunged at Zhang Huen.

Zhang Huen thought, "You're asking for it." He sidestepped, avoiding Li Gang's attack, and while Li Gang was still in the air, he grabbed his stomach with his claw, causing a spray of blood.

Li Gang fell to the ground again but quickly got up, ready to attack again. The terrified looks of the other slaves and the screams of the female slaves made him shudder. When he looked down at his stomach, he saw two translucent, flesh-colored intestines hanging out, with blood oozing from the edges.

"I... This is my intestine..."

Li Gang, in a daze, tried to push his intestines back in, but his arm was numb. He repeatedly picked up and dropped the intestines, like an Alzheimer's patient.

Zhang Huen walked over expressionlessly, looked into Li Gang's empty eyes, and grabbed his head, twisting it with a 180-degree turn. The dead body, with its tongue sticking out, fell to the ground with a thud.

(Brother, go act in other movies. Who would have thought you'd have such bad luck to provoke me?)
