Chapter 2

002. Stream the video right now

In the mirror, a young face,

the cluttered details inside the desk,

and most decisively, the date on the phone, the photos, and the messenger.

Given all these circumstances, there was no doubt that Do-woong had returned to being seventeen.

Just before coming back to this place, the video app he had downloaded on his phone flashed on the screen of his old smartphone.

“Ha... I’m going crazy.”

Do-woong wiped his face.

As soon as he downloaded this app, a major accident happened,

and he found himself back in the past.

He had a reasonable suspicion that this app might have played a role.

But what could he do in this situation?

Do-woong steeled his resolve and brought his finger to the app.

At that moment, a popup window appeared on the screen with a fanfare effect.

Do-woong scolded himself for being tempted by the word "free" and carefully examined the app.

The app's interface looked similar to a typical Mega Play app.

Then, a notification window appeared in the center of the screen.

Do-woong's tense finger moved toward the thumbnail.

**

The recommended video that appeared on the screen was

a first-generation idol from the 90s at the height of their popularity.

It was the audition video of the main vocalist.

-♪♬♩♪

When he pressed the play button, a young voice flowed out.

From the acne marks on his face, it seemed he was around the same age as Do-woong.

But his skill was far superior to that of his peers.

Soon, Do-woong was immersed in his singing and suddenly felt a sense of inadequacy.

“Right. To become a singer, you have to be this good.”

He finished watching the video with a bitter feeling, and a guide window appeared on the screen.

Do-woong pressed the YES button, entranced by the word "talent."

And at that moment,

a small hologram window appeared before Do-woong's eyes.

【Playlist】

Although he didn’t know the reason, there was no other choice but to push forward.

Do-woong shouted "play" in his mind.

Then, a change occurred in his body.

His blood vessels dilated, and he felt his blood flowing rapidly.

“Streaming the talent in the video?...”

Do-woong moved his body to check the changes and tried making a sound like a microphone test.

“Aaaaaa- Huh?”

He finally noticed something strange.

**

“Wow... This is amazing!”

Do-woong, who had just finished singing a song, shuddered at what he had experienced.

His basic singing, which had always made listeners uneasy, should not have changed even if he had returned to the past.

However, the unstable quality was gone, and a solid, clear sound emerged from Do-woong.

Do-woong understood what it meant to stream the talent from the video.

He could manifest that talent in his own body.

“Could Mega Play give me this opportunity because I watched so many videos?”

Do-woong felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted from his chest.

The limits of talent.

The skills that never improved no matter how hard he tried.

The past Do-woong had only repeated failures for a long time.

All because of his own limitations.

But just now, Do-woong felt as if he had leaped over that barrier in one go.

“With this...”

Do-woong swallowed hard.

His age had been reset, and with this, he could challenge the dreams he had left unfulfilled.

The problem was that this was a one-time stream.

At that moment, his phone on the desk vibrated.

-Zing.

An alarm appeared on the Mega Play app.

“I can download this talent!”

Without hesitation, Do-woong touched the thumbnail filled with a white screen.

**

In the blink of an eye,

Do-woong found himself in a completely white space.

On one side was a large rectangular window.

The window showed the room where Do-woong had just been.

“Wait, what is this...”

At the bottom of the window, there were a timeline, play symbols, and option icons.

It looked as if Do-woong had entered the video itself.

When he pounded on the window in confusion, text appeared on it.

Do-woong pondered the sentence for a moment,

and finally, his eyes widened as he understood the situation.

“So now I...!”

Mega Play Premium was indeed a system for training the talent in the video,

a system that allowed him to make that talent his own.

The past, where he had to give up due to a lack of talent, was now completely in the past.

Using this, he could acquire various talents and create a new future.

Not just the life of making music that he had longed for,

“Singer, songwriter, producer... No, I could even draw a line across the world with music!”

Do-woong shuddered with even greater dreams.

In this life, Do-woong had no plans to give up.

Play, play, play, play.

He streamed the vocal techniques over and over again,

burning with passion to make that sensation entirely his own.

But it was harder than he thought.

While streaming, it felt like his own sensation,

but when he stopped and sang, the unstable quality of his voice often reappeared.

“Still, it’s fine.”

The journey toward the dream he had longed for.

Do-woong was growing in a way that transcended common sense.

Now, in Do-woong’s life,

the road to success would be wide open, with green lights all the way.
