When the morning sunlight filtered through the mottled glass window and shone into Yang Chen's room, he shook his head a bit groggily, just as he was about to get up, he suddenly felt something soft wrapped around him.
Becoming much more alert, Yang Chen looked down and, as expected, saw the woman he had brought home last night after she got drunk. Her white, lotus-like arm was wrapped around his waist, and under the blanket, a pair of plump breasts were pressed against his thigh, their smooth texture as soft as velvet. Her white, tender legs were carelessly wrapped around his lower body, and the alluring crease between her thighs still bore traces of last night's indulgence.
Coupled with the woman's innocent and beautiful face as she slept, Yang Chen couldn't help but marvel that among all the women he had seen in his life, this woman definitely had the ability to rank in the top three.
Just as Yang Chen was marveling at this heavenly gift of a woman, his peripheral vision suddenly caught a patch of dried blood on the tail end of the blanket! His heart skipped a beat, and he frowned as he looked at the woman, who remained unmoved. The blood certainly wasn't his, but he hadn't expected that the wild beauty from last night was still a virgin.
Many things became clear in hindsight. Yang Chen quickly realized that the woman's boldness and indulgence last night were likely due to being drugged by the bald men. If he hadn't accidentally driven them away, this dark beauty would have become their prey. He had also been drinking alone and was quite drunk when he got home, so he hadn't noticed anything unusual.
As Yang Chen sat on the bed, thinking about how to handle the situation, the woman on top of him finally woke up.
She opened her eyes, a bit dazed, and gently lifted her head to see Yang Chen looking at her calmly.
The man in front of her was unfamiliar, yet somehow familiar. Her nose and mouth were filled with a strong, masculine scent and a certain *intimate* aroma. Struggling to piece together what had happened, fragments of last night's scenes flashed through her mind, and she quickly understood everything!
After realizing she wasn't a prostitute, Yang Chen was curious about what she would do—scream? Scold? Call the police? Or extort money? If that were the case, Yang Chen wouldn't feel any guilt; whatever she wanted to do was up to her. If it weren't for him, she would have been violated by a group of men. She could only blame herself for being careless and ending up in a dangerous situation.
However, the woman's reaction was surprisingly calm.
She slowly sat up, and in the soft sunlight, her body, which she revealed after removing the blanket, looked as if it were carved from white jade, giving Yang Chen a visual shock that made his breathing deepen.
Her body still bore red marks from biting and slapping, and even some sticky residues left by a man that made one's thoughts wander.
The woman walked off the bed without any embarrassment, completely naked, even her *intimate* area was easily visible.
But this kind of cold calmness made Yang Chen feel a bit oppressed. He took a deep breath and said, "I'm sorry."
The woman, who was just putting on her undergarments, paused at these words but didn't respond or turn around, continuing to dress herself.
Yang Chen didn't say anything more, but he felt a heavy weight in his heart, making it hard to breathe. He hadn't felt such guilt over a woman in many years. In the past, women were mostly just a means to heal his wounds, not really considered as thinking beings. Suddenly, a woman who had spent the night with him was causing him to feel a complex sense of guilt, making him wonder if he had been too relaxed and his mind had gone astray.
In less than five minutes, the woman had dressed and tidied herself up, showing no signs of what had happened. She then walked out the door without a word.
Yang Chen watched her leave without saying a word and couldn't help but smile bitterly. This woman was truly one of the best he had ever seen. Just as he was about to get up, his superhuman hearing caught a sob from the hallway...
It seemed she was crying, but she didn't want him to see or hear it. Unfortunately, she didn't know his hearing was far superior to the average person, so she couldn't avoid him.
Thinking about how she had been holding back her tears all this time, Yang Chen's sense of guilt grew even stronger.
After tidying up a bit, Yang Chen remembered he had a lamb skewer stall to open. Although the small stall didn't make much money, he enjoyed the feeling of watching people come and go in the bustling market, experiencing the myriad aspects of life. Money wasn't the main concern.
Pushing his cart to his stall, the old man Li, who sold fried sausages, smiled at Yang Chen, "Little Yang, you're late today. Did you go on a date or something last night?"
Yang Chen thought to himself that he hadn't gone on a date, but he had spent the night with someone. He replied casually, "No such thing, stop joking. I just overslept."
Old Li chuckled, somewhat satisfied, "My daughter Jingjing finished her internship and came home yesterday. She even told me to remember your kindness. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have been able to afford my wife's medical bills and Jingjing's living expenses for her internship far away."
Old Li's daughter, Li Jingjing, was a late-born treasure to the old couple. She had just graduated from university and was interning at a company in another city, returning home after two months.
Yang Chen had met the girl twice; she was a typical beauty from a southern water town, but she was a friend's daughter, so he didn't have any ulterior motives.
"Ha ha, no need to remember any kindness. Just let me have a free meal when I don't have money," Yang Chen joked.
"Sure thing!" Old Li suddenly nodded, "I almost forgot. My wife and Jingjing both said they want to invite you to our home for a meal to thank you. Tonight!"
"Um... no need, really. You have enough to worry about, why invite me to eat?"
Old Li pretended to be angry, "How much can one meal cost? Just a simple meal. If you don't come, Little Yang, you'll be looking down on us."
Yang Chen couldn't argue with the stubborn old man and had to agree, making Old Li beam with joy.
Just then, a few rough-looking figures appeared in the market. Seeing Yang Chen and Old Li, the leader of the group, a man with a shaved head, sneered.
