The Fifteenth Sentence Part 2

With thunder exploding throughout her body, Pu Tao looked up in surprise.

The man was looking at her. His expression had not changed much, but his gaze was extremely powerful, even if it was behind his glasses.

When did he put on his glasses?

Pu Tao had no time to think about it. She could only see that he was looking at her with determination—the kind of determination used to arrest someone.

She had been suddenly arrested on the spot. She was so confused that she could only quickly lower her eyes and turn her face, thinking that she would be able to shield herself.

Her heart was beating too fast. Pu Tao’s face exploded with red and her breathing became unstable. It took her a moment to type out a reply: “How did you recognize me?”

She did not dare to look at him again, not even a glance.

Cloud Dweller: “Answer me first.”

Pu Tao was completely flustered and began to fidget with her ears. The chair under her became a nailboard, and she couldn’t sit still.

She couldn’t hold her chopsticks.

The wine glass could not be grabbed.

She was a wreck. She was tied up by his eyes, unable to move.

After a while, Pu Tao’s cell phone vibrated again. It was another notification from him: “Find an excuse to come out in five minutes, I will tell you.”

The second after she received this message, she heard Cloud Dweller’s voice. He said to Jin Xin, “I need to go out and make a call.”

After saying this, the chair lightly squeaked. He left the table and went out.

Everything happened so fast that it hardly gave her any opportunity to hesitate.

It’s over.

Pu Tao had a heart attack and was hanging by a thread. She closed her eyes and was stalling. Then, she said, “My stomach hurts. I need to go to the bathroom.”

Her stomach was really hurting a bit.

This was what happened when a person grew up in situations of extreme tension and anxiety.

Xin Tian was aware of what was going on and had sniffed out a clue. She smiled and whispered “jiayou” to cheer for her.

Pu Tao walked out of the door quickly. As soon as she turned around, she saw the man by the door.

He was waiting for her.

*dizzy*

He is so tall.

Pu Tao suddenly suffered from a fear of tallness, because the man’s appearance was one where she must look up to see but did not have the courage to look up.

He looked down at her, quietly.

Pu Tao weakly raised her hand and said, “Hi…” That was terrible. She criticized herself in her mind.

“Come over here.”

Cloud Dweller walked out and went to a more empty hallway.

Pu Tao followed in a daze.

She just felt that his voice had suddenly become very real. Perhaps it was because the voice’s owner had also become real.

People were coming and going next to them.

Pu Tao whispered, “Why aren’t you wearing a mask?” She was afraid that he would be recognized by fans and wanted to avoid any unnecessary trouble.

The man frowned. “Am I a celebrity?”

Pu Tao was stumped. “…”

She couldn’t look him in the eye at all.

After a moment of silence, Cloud Dweller suddenly started talking, “If we didn’t meet at the group lunch, then when would you be ready to go and meet me?”

The subject was too difficult. Pu Tao was the student who ranked last and did not dare to write down a response.

She still had to keep her eyes down when she said hopelessly, “In the afternoon.”

Fearing that he would not be happy when he heard her, she carefully added, “Before two o’clock…”

Cloud Dweller chuckled. It sounded a little bit strange, but more so kind. These days, Pu Tao has heard it too many times. She had studied it thoroughly a while back.

Her nervousness was somewhat lowered a bit by this chuckle.

“Am I scary?” Cloud Dweller didn’t seem to understand. “Why are you so scared?”

Pu Tao’s chin was tucked in more and she looked down on herself with guilt. “I am not good enough to be seen by you. My voice is not nice to hear. I am not who you think I am. I can only be confident on the Internet. I am afraid that you will think the gap between us is too big. Once you find the real me, you will realize that I am not the kind of girl you are interested in.”

As she spoke, her voice slowly disappeared, word by word.

Cloud Dweller did not respond to what she had said, but only asked, “Do you know how I recognized you?”

Pu Tao slowly replied, “Because… of the autograph notebook?”

“No,” he denied. “I passed by the section for sound studios in the morning and heard your friend call out to you. It was then that I saw you.”

He had no intention of deceiving her when they met, so he said, “Actually, I didn’t just pass by there. I walked over there specifically, hoping that I would see you.”

Pu Tao looked up in surprise, her heart beating rapidly.

He had seen her before she met him.

The man looked down at her for a moment and laughed. “162 cm. You didn’t lie, I didn’t look at you carefully this morning.”

Pu Tao couldn’t take it all in at once. “Did you know that I went to help a friend?”

Cloud Dweller replied, “I didn’t know, it was just taking a chance with my luck.”

Did he want to run into her by coincidence?

Pu Tao rubbed her forehead. She was extremely uncomfortable, and she did not know what to do with her hands. “Then does now count as us meeting?”

"

"

Cloud Dweller said in a low voice, “I think it should count.”

That’s great .

Pu Tao’s nose was tingling and she couldn’t stop the corners of her lips from rising.

The man stared at her for a while. His lips slightly rose, a little unguarded.

One was using every ounce of strength to suppress the tears of joy; and the other was trying really hard not to smile too much.

“Let’s go back,” he said. They couldn’t leave the table for too long.

So soon? Pu Tao did not respond and just let out an “oh”.

The man went first, Pu Tao followed behind. Everything happened so suddenly and so fast. Her head was still a bit in the clouds, but these clouds were pink, floating around with a sweet taste.

She walked more and more slowly, staring at his back in a trance.

Cheng Su looked back. He saw that the distance between them was widening, and the woman looked like she was out of her mind.

Pu Tao saw him turn around and stopped without thinking.

After staring blankly, she realized she was still standing there and started to walk quickly. The man with the long arms and legs walked straight back to her.

He stopped in front of her.

Her hand was suddenly pulled.

“Keep up,” he said.

Pu Tao completely froze. After that, her brain exploded, and something ignited inside of her everywhere.

She could not feel her bones or any of her organs.

Only her hand—the one he was holding—existed.

Like this, he led her back with the hand that was used to sign the autograph on the dining table.

As they approached the door of the private room, the man let go of her. His low voice landed on the top of her head:

“I forgot to tell you, my name is Cheng Su.”

—

The man let her go through the door first, and Pu Tao obediently went in.

Her face was flushed and she returned to her dazed state.

"

"

After a reasonable amount of time, Cheng Su came in and returned to his seat across from her.

Pu Tao looked up and glanced at him, but didn’t want him to look at her.

After a short moment, Pu Tao hastily looked away. She realized that even though they had met and talked face to face, she still did not dare to look at him directly.

Xin Tian elbowed her a couple times and Pu Tao ignored her with a completely flustered face.

The hand held by him was on fire. It was scorching. She closed and opened her hand, unable to handle the heat.

A few seconds later, Pu Tao’s cell phone vibrated.

Her little deer was jumping around sporadically. It was his Wechat message. It had just two words. His name:

“Cheng Su.”

The author has something to say:

Call me.
