The Twenty-Second Sentence Part 1

Cheng Su’s words made sense, and Pu Tao could not refute them. She could only look at him and silently smile.

Cheng Su then leaned back on the sofa. The passionate atmosphere where they forgot themselves cooled down when he sat.

Pu Tao followed and sat upright. She pushed her hair aside, and realized felt embarrassed.

Cheng Su stared as she lowered her eyes, she appeared slightly innocent and helpless. He suddenly laughed.

His short laughter always had its own style of “su”, which contained an indulgent teasing.

Pu Tao looked up. “What are you laughing at?”

Cheng Su did not answer directly, but only asked, “You haven’t had dinner yet, are you hungry?”

Pu Tao nodded.

Cheng Su: “What do you want to eat?”

Pu Tao shook her head. She was a member of the Hard to Choose Association and a follower of what the majority wanted. Thus, she was not picky with any food.

Cheng Su asked, “Should we go out or order delivery?” He could pretty much figure out her passive personality traits. “How about we order delivery?”

Pu Tao: “Okay.”

“Hot pot?”

Pu Tao shook her head.

“Noodles?”

Pu Tao asked, “What did you eat tonight?”

Cheng Su said, “I made a light meal for myself.”

Pu Tao raised an eyebrow and looked at him. “Do you still need to lose weight?”

Cheng Su nodded. “I didn’t care much before, but now that I have a girlfriend, I should pay attention to my body.”

Pu Tao smiled. “Don’t bother—” she suddenly glanced at the narrow waist under his loose T-shirt. “Do you have abs?”

Cheng Su smiled again and was about to answer when she blushed and waved her hand wildly. “Don’t answer! Pretend I didn’t ask!”

Cheng Su put his hand back on his knee and suggested, “Let’s not order delivery. I’ll make you a bowl of noodles.”

Pu Tao was surprised. “You can cook?”

Cheng Su replied, “Yeah, but it’s definitely not as good as at a restaurant.”

Pu Tao complimented him, “Why won’t it be? It must be very delicious.”

Cheng Su got up, turned on the TV and handed her the remote control. “Lower your expectations.”

Pu Tao nodded and said seriously, “Oh, then I’ll get rid of ‘very’. It must be delicious.”

Cheng Su was amused. He rubbed the top of her head, and went around the sofa. When his long legs passed Da Tiao, Cheng Su also rubbed her on top of her head and told her, “I’m going to the kitchen. Accompany my guest for me.”

Da Tiao pretended to not listen and glanced at him coldly.

Cheng Su stomped his foot and frowned. “Where’s the meow?”

Da Tiao: “Meow.”

Pu Tao was surprised. “Can she understand you?”

“Probably.” Cheng Su looked at her and went to the kitchen. He left Pu Tao and the cat looking at each other.

Pu Tao quietly approached the round face beauty and asked in a low voice, “Can you give me a meow?”

Da Tiao: “Meow.”

“Wow.” Pu Tao was flattered. “How is it so miraculous?”

Da Tiao no longer paid attention to her. The yellow-green pupils were like glass balls when she looked at her.

Pu Tao glanced at where the kitchen was. The man was facing her on the right side. He was focused on chopping something.

This kind of natural cooking atmosphere suddenly made her emotions stir.

Cheng Su might have been aware of her gaze, and since he turned his eyes to her. He looked indifferent, but his expression softened the moment their eyes met.

His lips asked a question.

These words were blurred by the sound of the range hood, and Pu Tao did not hear him clearly. However, she could read his lips: Do you need something?

Pu Tao shook her head violently.

Cheng Su smiled lightly.

Pu Tao felt that this was a scene from a dream.

Cheng Su was like a man that only lived in a person’s fantasy, and a man who a person longed for. He was impeccable and too beautiful to be true. He was the setting sun. Even if night was coming, she still wanted the warmth of the orange light.

For no reason, Pu Tao shirked. She tightly gripped the remote control. She became worried about accidentally kicking the coffee table, and waking up from her dream.

She looked at Da Tiao. The cat was still looking at her. Her eyes seemed human, as if she could speak at any time.

Pu Tao asked, “Is all this a dream now?”

Da Tiao was only a silver tabby.

Pu Tao smiled. “If it’s not a dream, just meow.”

Da Tiao: “Meow.”

Pu Tao smiled with her white teeth. She knew that “meow” was a command that Da Tiao always responded to.

Cheng Su was usually like this. A man and a cat conversing with “meow”? Otherwise, why else would Da Tiao be so skilled in it?

Pu Tao imagined it. She felt that it was cute and funny. She began to act out her imagination. She faced Da Tiao and went “meow.”

Da Tiao was an understanding cat. As soon as she said it, he responded, “Meow.”

Pu Tao felt successful, and wanted to go further. “Let me touch you, okay?”

Da Tiao: “…” ·̩̩̥͙**•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚ ꜱᴜᴘᴘᴏʀᴛ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴀɴꜱʟᴀᴛᴏʀ ᴀɴᴅ ʀᴇᴀᴅ ᴏɴ ꜰᴏxᴀʜᴏʟɪᴄ.ᴄᴏᴍ ˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*·̩̩̥͙

“Meow if you agree.” She had to cheat.

“Meow.”

Pu Tao was enamored by this clever cat who puts up a cold front. She had learned from Cheng Su and rubbed her forehead.
