The Third Sentence Part 1

Pu Tao waited two days for a reply from Cloud Dweller. She had refreshed Weibo more times in the past 48 hours than in previous years combined.

She began to doubt that Cloud Dweller did not read his private messages at all.

However, he pinned a message on Weibo that precisely said that work matters should be sent through private messages or email.

It was obvious that Cloud Dweller had ignored her message. Pu Tao repeatedly read her “request to know him” confession and wasn’t able to figure it out. Don’t tell me it wasn’t cute?

“Cute what?” Xin Tang was on the other end of the phone. She was close to laughing while holding her belly. “You are funny. Oh, he probably thinks there’s something wrong with you from that kind of cheesy pick-up line.”

Pu Tao was at her company having lunch. She got up at 05:30 today to work, and habitually brought her own lunch.

Pu Tao took a sausage egg roll 1 and dipped it in some sweet bean sauce. “What do you think I should do?”

Xin Tian said, “You are also too impulsive. Do you know what Cloud Dweller looks like? Do you know where he is from? Is he tall or short? Handsome or ugly? Is he married? Or have a girlfriend? You just listened to his voice and became obsessed with it.”

Pu Tao was chewing on the egg roll as she spoke unclearly, “You are right. I am obsessed. I have listened to all his previous radio dramas over and over again in the past two days. If an egg was being cooked over and over again on the pan, it would have burned and I would not eat it at all. But, my deer 2 is still restlessly charging at the love that won’t stop. I really want to know him. I really want to be friends with him.”

Everyone in the department went out to eat together, so the area was quiet and Pu Tao could speak a little presumptuously.

She sighed faintly in her heart. “I tried to listen to the voices of other male CVs. There were some famous ones you recommended before, but none of them worked. My face froze when I listened to all of them. It’s just him, he is the only one who can give me chemical reactions. He is the only one that’s my type.”

“Ah, I really want to know him—” Pu Tao summed up what she thought and gave her friend a mission: “Help me.”

“I can’t believe you are crazier than me.” Xin Tian had no choice but to bring out a basin of cold water. “What if he is shorter than you in person?”

“It doesn’t matter. True love is about overturning the norms, breaking down and rearranging the rules of the past. “ Pu Tao swore an oath, and her tone was like a clenched fist.

“Oh my god—”

Xin Tian was at the end of her wits.

It was strange and wonderful.

She was hopelessly in love with a voice and eager to meet its owner. He opened a skylight to her five senses, illuminating the closed up space in her heart. He made her eager to reach out with her hands to share the same light in the world and to pursue all the sights behind the ceiling.

Even Pu Tao felt that she was unreasonable.

But she really couldn’t help it.

Every day she was sinking into oblivion, trying to turn the voice into a concrete image. If she didn’t see his existence, then her fantasy was like a headless bird that could never find its original habitat.

When Pu Tao returned to the apartment that night, she welcomed the good news she received.

Xin Tian told her that she learned from a female CV who knew Cloud Dweller in real life that he was still a single dog.

In addition to that, she suddenly asked her if she still used QQ.

Pu Tao was stumped for a moment: “I barely use it.”

After graduating from college, she moved over to Wechat and became a loyal fan. QQ was full of traces from middle school, like moss quickly growing mold. If Xin Tian did not ask about it, then she would have forgotten that dusty, unused app for chatting.

Xin Tian: “Immediately! Now! Login to QQ!”

Her attitude was as if a fierce battle was imminent. Pu Tao became nervous and pressed the penguin icon nonstop. When she came online, she was caught off guard by Xin Tian admitting her into a Q group.

Pu Tao glanced at the name of the group, the “First Bell” crew.

Before she had time to privately talk to Xin Tian and get a summary of what she had asked about, she was given a cue in the group. Pu Tao could only turn around and go back to the group.

The leader of the group tagged her.

[Planning Director] Towards The Sunflower: “Welcome our drawer @Putao. Small Grapes 3 , please change the group card 4 .”

Pu Tao’s first reaction was confusion.

She saw that Xin Tian had perfectly blended into the group.

[Post-Production] Sweetheart: “Hehe, it’s the capable soldier I brought in. Our character designs will not fall behind.”

Pu Tao’s second reaction was confusion.

[Art Designer] End Of The Year: “I’ll just wait for you to come out with the drawings.”

And sent a gif making a touched kowtow.

Pu Tao’s third reaction was confusion.

She paused for a few seconds and went straight into a private chat window with Xin Tian. “What’s going on?”

Xin Tian: “Oh, you are helping yourself mount an attack.”

Pu Tao: “???”

Xin Tian: “Take a look at the list of group members.”

Pu Tao immediately went back to the group to look at the members. At first, she didn’t find anything unusual. When she almost scrolled to the end, an ID that looked so familiar came into view:

Cloud Dweller.
