The sun was bright and the sky was clear.
The sun hung high in the sky, pouring out its heat with all its might, trying to make every creature on the ground feel its scorching heat. However, the dense forest below would not give it a chance, blocking most of the sunlight and preventing it from reaching the interior.
"If you give me a pig's leg, I can help you treat him," said the man, casually tossing a leaf to the ground.
The once silent forest became lively again because of these words.
"What did you say??" The three brothers, the eldest, the second, and the third, looked up at the mysterious man who had suddenly appeared.
He was dressed in black training clothes and wore an ice mask on his face, deliberately lowering his voice.
"Give me a pig's leg, and I will save him," Lin Fei continued.
"If you can save him, you can have the whole wild boar," the eldest brother said, staring at the mysterious man who had suddenly appeared.
"No, I only need a pig's leg," Lin Fei said as he walked toward the critically injured man.
"Can you move aside?" Lin Fei asked the third brother, who was sitting next to the fourth brother.
The third brother immediately got up and moved to the side.
"Alright, take your hand off the wound!" Lin Fei said to the second brother.
The second brother hesitated for a moment but then removed his hand.
Lin Fei extended his right hand, and a white light spread in everyone's eyes. He brought his glowing hand close to the wound, and the white light instantly surged, enveloping the fourth brother.
The white light was not blinding; instead, it gave a warm feeling.
The eldest brother came to the fourth brother's side, watching his condition with a tense expression.
The bleeding wound on the fourth brother's stomach stopped, and the gruesome wound began to heal visibly. In a short while, the wound was completely healed, leaving only two red marks on the skin, a reminder that it had been pierced just moments ago.
Lin Fei withdrew his right hand, and the white light on the fourth brother's body disappeared.
"It's done. Just rest for a few days," Lin Fei said calmly.
Seeing the fourth brother's steady breathing, as if he were sleeping, the eldest brother and the others let out a long sigh of relief.
"This person's healing ability is far inferior to the director of the Abnormal Ability Administration. The last time she was treated by me, she woke up immediately. Oh, what was her name again? I looked it up online before, Xie Yurong? I think that's her name!" Lin Fei thought to himself.
"Brother, we are truly grateful! I am Zhao Da, and these are my brothers, Zhao Er, Zhao San, and Zhao Si. What is your honorable surname? If you need any help in the future, just let us know," Zhao Da said gratefully.
"What unique names you have!" Lin Fei looked at them with a strange expression. "We met by chance, and I just happened to come across you. There's no need to mention names, and I've already stated my condition. Don't feel like you owe me anything in the future."
As he spoke, Lin Fei walked toward where the wild boar had fallen. He approached the boar, reached out, and pulled the steel knife out of the boar's head. A flash of the knife, and the boar's hind leg was easily cut off. He casually stuck the knife into the ground and picked up the boar's hind leg, weighing it in his hand.
"It must weigh about a hundred pounds!" Lin Fei thought.
"This person is so strong, cutting off the boar's hind leg with one strike. He must be at the peak of the second stage!" Zhao Da guessed in his heart.
Lin Fei held the boar's leg and did not continue talking to the Zhao brothers. He turned and walked into the forest.
Zhao Da watched Lin Fei leave, opening his mouth to say something but then closing it again.
After a while.
"Let's go home. Zhao San, carry Zhao Si. Zhao Er and I will carry the wild boar," Zhao Da instructed.
The sun was setting, and Lin Fei was walking alone in the forest. He had been separated from the Zhao brothers for over an hour. He had encountered many animals, but none of them were abnormal beasts.
"Is my luck this bad? Others encounter abnormal beasts soon after entering the forest, even just at the edge. I've been deep in the forest for over an hour and haven't even seen an abnormal rabbit," Lin Fei thought gloomily.
"Last time I saved Xie Yurong and got abnormal beast meat, and this time too. I really want to capture an abnormal beast on my own!"
Lin Fei was not discouraged and continued walking deeper into the forest. The further he went, the richer the spiritual energy in the air became, and the trees grew taller and more robust. The animals were also much stronger than those at the edge of the forest.
Time passed, and Lin Fei quickened his pace. He was now over 200 kilometers deep into the Wangyue Mountain forest.
"This shouldn't be! Why haven't I encountered any abnormal beasts?" Li Fei thought, puzzled.
Suddenly, a loud noise came from ahead, "Boom!" A bolt of lightning flashed in the sky.
"Something's happening!" Lin Fei's face lit up with joy. He slowed down and quietly approached.
The sun was about to set, and the sky was filled with a fiery red glow, with the sun appearing as a red ball in the clouds, visible and then hidden.
The distant mountains and forests were bathed in a rosy red light under the sunset.
Lin Fei was the only one enjoying this beautiful scenery, hiding in a large tree. Not far from him was a small hill, and at the foot of the hill, two heavily wounded abnormal beasts were facing off. Around them lay the bodies of over a dozen abnormal beasts, including snakes, wolves, monkeys, wild boars, centipedes, and scorpions. It seemed a great battle among abnormal beasts had taken place not long ago.
The two surviving abnormal beasts were now gathering their last strength, preparing for the final battle.
One was a standing bear over 5 meters tall, with a robust and large body, long and dense fur, a dog-like face, a large head, a long snout, small eyes and ears, and powerful limbs with sharp claws. It was emitting a strong spiritual energy, causing the ground to rise and fall with its breathing.
The other was a snow-white wolf, small in size, about 1 meter long, but with a well-proportioned and strong body. Its eyes were black and emitted a sharp light, and it occasionally released bolts of lightning. It was staring fiercely at its opponent.
Both were covered in wounds, their fur stained with blood, making them even more terrifying.
Lin Fei sensed their energy fluctuations, both at the peak of the second stage.
A strong wind blew, and the battle was about to begin. The bear initiated the attack, roaring and launching dozens of earth spikes at the white wolf.
The white wolf, instead of fleeing, charged forward. Just before colliding with the earth spikes, it shrank to the size of a billiard ball, passing through the gaps between the spikes. It then quickly grew to a 5-meter-long giant wolf and spat out a thick bolt of lightning from its mouth, attacking the bear. The bear hurriedly raised a wall to block it.
A loud explosion, and dust flew everywhere as the earth wall was shattered.
The white wolf took the opportunity to pounce, biting the bear's neck.
"Two abilities?!" Li Fei was surprised.
