The morning sunlight squeezed through the gaps in the curtains and into the room.
Zhou Yue groggily opened her eyes. Suddenly, she realized something was amiss and instantly became fully awake. She lifted the blanket and looked inside, only to find herself completely naked.
"Ahh!" A scream echoed through the heavens, then gradually grew softer. "What am I doing, isn't it normal to sleep naked at home? I must have been drunk." Zhou Yue knocked on her head.
"Click!" A figure pushed the door open.
Zhou Yue quickly wrapped herself in the blanket, hiding her flawless body and the alluring scene.
"What are you shouting so loudly for in the morning!" Wang Xiaoru, wearing an apron and holding a spatula, pushed the door open.
"It's you! I woke up and found myself naked, so I couldn't help but scream." Zhou Yue relaxed when she saw it was Wang Xiaoru. The blanket slipped from her shoulders, revealing her beautiful body once again.
"Alright! I think you were just drunk. Don't you often sleep naked? Get dressed quickly and go wash up; breakfast is ready." Wang Xiaoru said, looking at her exposed beauty with a hint of annoyance.
"Okay, I'll get up right away," Zhou Yue quickly pulled the blanket up and opened the wardrobe to find her clothes for the day.
"Put on your undergarments first, don't catch a cold. I'll continue preparing breakfast." Wang Xiaoru instructed.
"Sure, go ahead! I'll get ready quickly." Zhou Yue replied.
After a while, the two, dressed neatly, sat down at the dining table for breakfast.
"Um, this." Seeing Zhou Yue's hesitant look, Wang Xiaoru tried hard not to laugh. "What's wrong! Is the breakfast not to your taste?"
"No, it's delicious! I love pumpkin porridge," Zhou Yue said, taking big gulps of the pumpkin porridge.
"Sure, I made it especially for you. It's better to eat something light after a night of drinking." Wang Xiaoru said.
Zhou Yue hesitated for a moment. "Did I do anything outrageous last night?"
"What outrageous thing?" Wang Xiaoru asked, feigning ignorance.
"Nothing! That's good, that's good." Zhou Yue happily continued eating the pumpkin porridge.
"It was just that you were being stubborn, refusing to walk and insisting on being carried. It wasn't a big deal." Wang Xiaoru said casually.
"Choke, cough, cough!" Zhou Yue was choked.
"Slow down, I know you like pumpkin porridge, there's still plenty in the pot!" Wang Xiaoru quickly handed Zhou Yue a tissue.
"What did you say? I was being stubborn and insisted on being carried? That's impossible." Zhou Yue wiped her mouth with the tissue Wang Xiaoru handed her.
"It's not a big deal, don't get so worked up. Finish your breakfast, or you'll be late for work." Wang Xiaoru couldn't hold back her laughter.
"Go ahead and laugh if you want! It's uncomfortable to hold it in." Zhou Yue said, looking at Wang Xiaoru's expression.
"Ha ha ha!" Wang Xiaoru covered her mouth with her left hand and held her stomach with her right. "Do you know how funny you were? Like a child, insisting that Lin Fei carry you, or you wouldn't move. When Lin Fei carried you, he almost fell over at first, and when you were on his back, you wrapped your arms around his neck, almost choking him. Everyone around laughed, but I held it in for you, didn't I?"
Zhou Yue's face turned red, and she suddenly stood up, rushing into her room.
"Aren't you going to eat anymore?" Wang Xiaoru stopped laughing and called out to Zhou Yue's room.
"I'm full, I don't want to eat anymore." Zhou Yue's voice came from inside the room.
"This is bad, that guy will definitely make fun of me for this. My reputation is ruined." Zhou Yue buried her head in the pillow and beat the bed with her long, smooth legs.
"Click," Wang Xiaoru pushed the door open. "Come on, don't think about yesterday anymore. It's already happened, let it go. We need to leave soon, or we'll be late."
"I don't feel like going to work today. Can you call in sick for me?" Zhou Yue said to Wang Xiaoru.
"You're not sick, why call in sick!" Wang Xiaoru walked over and forcibly calmed Zhou Yue down. Even if Zhou Yue tried to delay, Wang Xiaoru pulled her hand and they went to work together.
...
"What a great day for mining!" Lin Fei stood on his balcony, looking into the distance, and sighed.
Today was the first day of the Golden Week holiday. Many companies had given their employees the day off, but some chose to continue working, saving their holidays for later, like Zhou Yue and Wang Xiaoru.
Zhou Yue and Wang Xiaoru had discussed the October Golden Week holiday with Lin Fei while having skewers the previous day.
Lin Fei asked them what their plans were for the holiday, and they said they intended to travel, but decided not to go with the crowds because it would be too crowded. To avoid the peak travel period, they decided to work during the seven days and take their holidays later.
Lin Fei, hearing their reasons, applauded and said he had the same idea.
After that, Lin Fei became their advisor, suggesting places they could visit during their later holidays. In the end, they decided to take Lin Fei with them on their trip.
Lin Fei thought about this and felt the unpredictability of life. He had just decided not to travel for a while, but soon found himself planning a trip.
Let's mine more during this time!
The trip was set for November 1st. Lin Fei and the others made a preliminary plan to fly to a famous island in the south during the cold autumn, to enjoy the bright sun, soft sand, and the vast, blue sea, which made anyone feel refreshed just by looking at it. The thought of it made him happy.
A cold autumn breeze passed by Lin Fei's balcony, and he shivered, lightly patting his cheeks. "I'll have breakfast first."
Today's breakfast was sweet potato porridge, with sweet sweet potatoes mixed in the thick white porridge, making a perfect combination.
Lin Fei took a bite of pickled vegetables and a sip of sweet potato porridge, and the coldness from the autumn breeze was instantly dispelled from his body.
"Drinking so much last night, this is the right way to start the morning." Lin Fei thought as he peeled a boiled egg, then he remembered something.
Lin Fei took out his phone, took a picture of his breakfast, and sent it to the group chat with Zhou Yue and Wang Xiaoru.
Lin Fei: This is the best way to sober up and stay healthy.
Wang Xiaoru: Yes, eating something light in the morning is good for your health.
Zhou Yue: What's so great about it? Xiaoru's pumpkin porridge is a hundred times better than your sweet potato porridge.
Lin Fei: Carrying you yesterday was exhausting.
Zhou Yue: What do you mean? Are you saying I'm heavy?
Lin Fei: ...
