Chapter 68

Lin Fei slowly walked on the back of the Red-Armored Dragon, approaching its large head.

"Crash!" Lin Fei gripped the psychic iron shovel with both hands, infusing it with psychic energy, causing a surge of light.

"No." The Red-Armored Dragon realized too late. Lin Fei swung the shovel with all his might, striking its large head heavily.

A loud boom echoed in the sky, and the Red-Armored Dragon, about to reach the mid-stage of the fourth rank, had its head shattered by Lin Fei.

Whoosh! Bang! The Red-Armored Dragon's body fell from the sky, crashing into the side of the volcano, raising a cloud of dust.

Lin Fei slowly descended from the air, landing not far from where the Red-Armored Dragon had fallen.

"Your vitality is truly remarkable! If it were the eagle-headed turtle, it would have been decided by my attack just now." Lin Fei looked at the fallen Red-Armored Dragon and said, "Don't pretend to be dead, get up."

Roar! Bang! The Red-Armored Dragon suddenly opened its eyes, detonating all its psychic energy to forcefully break through to the mid-stage of the fourth rank. This breakthrough came at a great cost; even if it managed to defeat its opponent this time, its strength would drop back to the early stage of the fourth rank afterward, and it would never be able to break through again in its lifetime.

However, with a formidable enemy in front of it, it couldn't afford to hesitate. If it didn't fight with all its might, it wouldn't survive.

The flames on the Red-Armored Dragon's body reignited, and its aura grew stronger. The wound on its head, inflicted by Lin Fei, began to visibly heal. With a loud roar, a wave of scorching heat spread out, instantly burning the red plants on the ground to ashes.

"This Red-Armored Dragon has broken through." Lin Fei sensed its psychic energy continuously rising to a new height.

"Human, I will kill you today." The path to advancement that Lin Fei had destroyed meant its ambitions could no longer be realized. It had once hoped to advance to the level of a lord, but that dream was shattered today.

The Red-Armored Dragon was filled with rage, and the red flames on its body turned orange, the temperature of the flames reaching a new level. The ground it stepped on turned black from the heat.

The Red-Armored Dragon opened its large mouth, and a dense barrage of fire arrows shot toward Lin Fei. Lin Fei's body erupted with electric light, creating a twenty-meter-wide lightning field around him.

The fire arrows from the Red-Armored Dragon were scattered by the lightning in the field.

Seeing its attack ineffective, the Red-Armored Dragon quickly charged toward Lin Fei, the orange flames trailing behind it, creating a scorched path on the ground. It plunged into the lightning field with its rage.

Lightning snakes darted through the field, and the Red-Armored Dragon was immediately struck by the lightning.

Ignoring the paralysis caused by the lightning, it resolutely pounced toward Lin Fei in the field.

"Is this guy crazy? Charging at me so recklessly." Lin Fei thought as he watched the Red-Armored Dragon charge.

Snap! The lightning field suddenly disappeared.

Lin Fei used his teleportation ability to appear in the bushes behind the Red-Armored Dragon.

The Red-Armored Dragon, seeing its target disappear again, roared in anger. It then took to the air, circling a few times before spotting Lin Fei hiding in the bushes.

It immediately dove at Lin Fei, spewing orange flames from its mouth. Lin Fei used his ability to dodge again. The Red-Armored Dragon, seeing the detestable human constantly hiding in the bushes, pursued him relentlessly, spewing flames nonstop.

The volcano, once surrounded by red plants, which added a unique charm even in the scorching environment, would no longer exist after today.

The Red-Armored Dragon continuously spewed flames, setting all the plants around the volcano ablaze, turning the area into a sea of fire.

The scorpion-tailed lion beasts, which had been watching, were all consumed by the flames under the Red-Armored Dragon's indiscriminate attacks.

Lin Fei floated in the air, looking at the Red-Armored Dragon not far away, and said, "You've destroyed all these plants, what a pity."

"Now you have nowhere to hide, right?" The Red-Armored Dragon, with red eyes, stared at Lin Fei and said.

Seeing the Red-Armored Dragon, which had fallen into a frenzy, Lin Fei said nothing more and shot a bolt of lightning at it.

Crack. The Red-Armored Dragon was hit head-on, the paralysis from the lightning causing its body to stiffen and fall a few meters in the air.

The Red-Armored Dragon immediately spewed a five-meter-wide orange fireball at Lin Fei. The fireball exploded near Lin Fei, turning into dozens of smaller fireballs that attacked him.

"These are exploding fireballs! This Red-Armored Dragon really knows how to play," Lin Fei muttered as he watched the fireballs fly toward him.

Lin Fei raised his hand to create a telekinetic barrier, and the Red-Armored Dragon's exploding fireballs hit the barrier with a series of bangs.

Lin Fei felt the psychic energy in his body; the power of the exploding fireballs was considerable, causing him to expend some psychic energy to defend.

Seeing its exploding fireballs hit Lin Fei, the Red-Armored Dragon's eyes flashed with joy, and it continued to spew more exploding fireballs.

Bang, bang, bang. Half the sky was covered in fireballs, turning the sky orange.

Seeing the dense fireballs, Lin Fei shook his head in frustration, "Does this Red-Armored Dragon think the same tactic will work on me again? Can't it try something different?"

The dense fireballs whistled toward Lin Fei, and his body erupted with electric light, sending countless bolts of lightning in all directions.

Boom, boom, boom. The dense lightning swept across the sky, completely dispelling the Red-Armored Dragon's exploding fireballs.

Seeing its continuous attacks failing to inflict significant damage on Lin Fei, the Red-Armored Dragon began to doubt whether it had truly broken through to the mid-stage of the fourth rank.

The Red-Armored Dragon checked its psychic energy, and its rationality gradually returned. It decided to flee, as this human was far too powerful.

Seeing the Red-Armored Dragon turn to flee, Lin Fei immediately used spatial teleportation to pursue it, flashing continuously and quickly overtaking the Red-Armored Dragon, blocking its escape route.

Lin Fei continued to unleash bolts of lightning, striking the Red-Armored Dragon's body, causing it to fall continuously.

The battlefield suddenly changed, and the roles of pursuer and pursued were reversed. Lin Fei, with his superior mobility, often managed to intercept the Red-Armored Dragon first.

The Red-Armored Dragon's eyes were filled with despair. It couldn't escape, and it couldn't fight back.

It had always been the one inflicting such despair on other beasts, but it never thought it would be its turn today.
