Chapter 83

Watching Goku Jr. hold back his strength and constantly be attacked, Jing Tian's lips twitched as if he had expected this. When he finally saw Goku Jr. take the fight seriously and send Tenshinhan flying into the air, it seemed that a single Kamehameha would secure victory. However, Goku Jr. casually canceled it.

Seeing this, Jing Tian helplessly raised his head and rubbed his forehead, inwardly criticizing Goku Jr. for clearly having the chance to win but choosing to enjoy the fight instead of taking the opportunity. Jing Tian really didn't know what to say.

Jing Tian's actions caught Bulma's attention, and she asked curiously, "What's wrong? Do you have a headache?"

Jing Tian lowered his hand, sighed, and then explained to Bulma. After hearing this, Bulma also felt helpless and finally said, "Maybe martial artists are all like this. Dear, you shouldn't do that. If you face an enemy, you must quickly resolve the battle. We shouldn't learn from Goku Jr."

Jing Tian nodded and continued watching the match.

As Master Roshi used a Kamehameha to send the disruptive Crane Hermit flying, the match entered its final moments. Tenshinhan flew high into the sky and fired a Ki blast that created a deep crater on the stage.

Jing Tian used his telekinetic barrier to block the flying debris and looked up at the final battle in the sky with the three women.

After the final blow, Goku Jr. and Tenshinhan flew several streets away from the arena and landed. Because Goku Jr. crashed into a car and landed first, he narrowly missed winning the championship.

And thus, the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament ended dramatically.

After the match, in the empty contestant waiting area behind the arena, Tenshinhan, who was effectively expelled from his master's school, asked Goku Jr. again, "You really don't want half of my prize money?"

Goku Jr., while changing out of his tattered clothes, replied, "No, I don't know what to do with money."

"But it should belong to you. I won purely by luck. Although I'm not satisfied, my strength is indeed not as good as yours," Tenshinhan said frankly, returning to his true nature.

Master Roshi looked at Tenshinhan with increasing satisfaction and said, "Haha, luck is also a form of strength. Besides, Goku Jr. also benefited greatly from fighting a strong opponent like you. Let's all go eat. Goku Jr. and Tenshinhan must be very hungry after the match."

Tenshinhan quickly said, "If that's the case, I'll treat everyone with my prize money."

Krillin then said with a sly smile, "Hehe, you're in trouble. There's a guy with an incredible appetite."

"Ah, no good, Grandpa's Dragon Balls and the Nyoi-Bo," Goku Jr. suddenly remembered his belongings were not there.

"I'll go get them for you. You rest," Krillin said, heading towards the contestant waiting room.

Jing Tian was startled but, after a moment's thought, decided not to stop him. Krillin always slacked off during training, wasting his great talent. This ordeal would likely make him train harder in the future.

While Jing Tian was thinking, Tenshinhan again declined Master Roshi's invitation to train with him, sticking to his belief that a teacher is a teacher for life. Everyone's opinion of Tenshinhan improved as a result.

Suddenly, a scream came from a distance.

"What's happening?" everyone was startled.

"It sounds like Krillin," Goku Jr. said anxiously, running quickly in the direction of the sound, with everyone following closely behind.

When they reached the waiting room, they saw Krillin lying on the ground, and the announcer, who was also on the ground, groaning.

Jing Tian and Goku Jr. rushed to Krillin. At a glance, they could see that Krillin was dead, his eyes wide with unfulfilled anger.

"A... a monster... stole a strange ball... and the tournament roster... and ran away..." the announcer, supported by Tenshinhan, said weakly.

"He... he's dead... Krillin... Krillin was killed..." Goku Jr. held Krillin's body, his eyes wide with anger, and his teeth clenched.

"What did you say?!" Master Roshi was shocked, rushing forward and falling silent when he saw Krillin's condition.

"How could this happen?" Bulma and Launch, who were friends with Krillin, covered their mouths in disbelief, tears streaming down their faces.

"Krillin tried to stop him... but the monster was too strong," the announcer continued.

"A monster? He stole the Dragon Balls and the roster?" Master Roshi's face darkened as he pondered the implications.

Goku Jr. suddenly stood up, his fists clenched, blood dripping from his hands.

Through gritted teeth and with tears streaming down his face, Goku Jr. growled, "Bastard!!! This bastard!!!"

"Bulma! Do you have the Dragon Radar?" Goku Jr. shouted to Bulma while shouldering the Nyoi-Bo.

"Huh?" Bulma, who was sobbing, looked at Jing Tian.

Without a word, Jing Tian took out the Dragon Radar from his storage and handed it to Goku Jr., who suddenly disappeared, reappeared in front of Jing Tian, and snatched the radar. He shouted, "Nimbus Cloud!!" and jumped onto the cloud, flying away quickly.

"Goku! Wait! Stop! I order you to stop!" Master Roshi shouted anxiously and angrily as Goku Jr. flew away.

Seeing Goku Jr. ignore him and fly away, Master Roshi said worriedly, "Idiot! The opponent knocked out Krillin in one hit, and Goku is exhausted from the match. He can't win!"

Jing Tian, holding Krillin's body, came to Master Roshi's side and said softly, "Don't worry, Master Roshi. Don't forget the Dragon Balls. Let's calm down first."

Hearing Jing Tian's words, Master Roshi was stunned but gradually calmed down, though his face remained dark.

"Hey, there's a piece of paper here. I wonder if it was left by the one who killed Krillin," said Oolong, holding up the paper for everyone to see.

"A circle with the word 'Devil' in the middle, what does this mean?" Yamcha asked, puzzled.

"What?!" Master Roshi was shocked, his eyes widening as he quickly took the paper from Yamcha and stared at it, stunned.

"This... this is..." Master Roshi's hands trembled as he held the paper, speaking in a nervous, broken voice.

"What's going on? Have you seen this symbol before?" Tenshinhan asked Master Roshi.

"This is the symbol of the Great Demon King Piccolo..." After saying this, Master Roshi seemed to have used up all his strength, a sense of weariness enveloping him.
