It was just a case of improvising that happened to work out well. The village felt like something straight out of a light novel, so I was able to navigate the situation smoothly while feeling things out.

I met with the village chief, pretending to be a traveling merchant, and told him that I wanted to restart my life in the house left by the mage. I also told them to let me know if they have any issues.

There were a lot of things I couldn’t share, and since I was navigating the conversation cautiously, they probably didn’t trust me fully yet.

Thinking about it now, I’m really glad that I can speak the language here. I may not have acquired any powerful abilities or cheat skills, but simply being able to live normally and communicate with others in this world is pretty amazing
