After finishing setting up the store, when I thought it was time to pack up, the sun was about to rise.
"Damn...! I got so caught up with the exterior that it’s already morning."
The store that was completed was a counter-style shop.
It was more like a small house with a counter space attached to the outside, with the living space being much larger.
But well, since I only have one thing to sell, this is fine for now. I can expand if I want to, and there’s only a golem at the counter anyway.
"Hmm, but it turned out to be a great store! The detailed design is really cool!"
"Hey, Dianeya. Even though you stayed up all night to help me, don’t you need to get back to the castle?"
In one way or another, you’ve been helping me ever since we teleported here.
Aren’t you busy?
"Don’t worry about it. Since I called you here, I intended to stay with you until you leave."
You’re really serious, but didn’t you collapse from overwork because of that?
"Take it easy."
"Hmm, but to be completely fine after being so exhausted and then staying up all night, this juice is amazing."
Dianeya was looking at the golem and the apple stock behind the counter with sparkling eyes.
I might have given her something dangerous to drink.
"…Just to be clear, no more today, okay?"
"Eh!? Well, just a little, maybe?"
This princess witch’s gaze is a bit concerning. If she gets addicted to apple juice, it could be a disaster. I’m thinking it’s time to wrap things up.
"Hey? Could it be that you’re the Master of the Earth?"
Turning around, I saw adventurers with bald heads gleaming in the morning light.
"Yeah, the adventurer group and their leader."
"Hey. Don’t call me leader. Just call me Ash."
So his name is Ash. I’ve known them for a few days, but this is the first time I’ve learned his name.
"Hey. It’s rare to see you in town. And this place was just an empty lot, right?"
"Yeah, I might start a store here, so I was setting it up."
"Hey, you built a store in one night!?"
"Wow, that’s impressive. You really are on a different level, aren’t you?"
The Shining Heads were looking up at the store, dumbfounded.
It’s just a small house, though.
"No, Daiichi. Normally, it takes more than one night to build something. Your house keeps expanding without you even noticing."
Come to think of it, that’s true. Just touching Sakura makes it expand normally, so building a store like this doesn’t seem like a big deal to me.
"Anyway, what are you guys up to? It’s pretty early, isn’t it?"
"Hey. We always do morning patrols."
"Patrols?"
"If there are profitable monsters, it’s good to hunt them."
I see. I didn’t understand the adventurer’s lifestyle, but there are good monsters around.
"No, the Shining Heads are top-notch adventurers. They also take care of the town."
"Really?"
They look pretty rowdy, but appearances can be deceiving.
"Hey. If we’re feeling good, we might go to the Combat Rabbit’s store. It’s not crowded in the morning."
"Ah, that’s great to hear. They seem to be energetic in the morning too."
"Actually, the leader has been a bit less energetic at night lately. It’s more like he’s just barely making it to the morning."
"Hey. Tone it down, guys!"
Ash grabbed his teammates’ collars in a panic.
"What, are you that tired?"
Come to think of it, he was pretty beat up the last time he fought Fafnir.
"You’re pushing yourself too hard when your body hasn’t healed."
"Exactly. Your body’s recovery desire is higher than your sexual desire. But the leader gets carried away and goes to the store anyway..."
"Hey, what can I do!?"
Despite everything, they seem pretty energetic. But, well, since they’re here, they’re a good test case.
"Anyway, it’s an opening celebration. Have a drink to boost your spirits."
I poured the apple juice into wooden cups and handed them to Ash and his team.
"Hey? Is this... apple juice?"
"Yeah, I think it tastes good, but just to be safe. I wanted you to try it before selling it. ...Ah, no money is needed, just give me your thoughts."
I stopped them from taking out their wallets and waited for their feedback.
Ash and his team tilted their cups, checked the amount, and drank it all at once. Then,
"Whoa! What is this!?"
Ash’s head turned bright red instantly.
The other members behind him had their hair standing on end or were glowing a bit.
"This is crazy! It’s delicious, of course, but it gives us too much energy!"
"Wow, all the fatigue is gone, leader!!"
"This is amazing! It’s a super body-boosting drink, sir."
"Seems like it’s more effective than I thought..."
They’re reacting even more than I expected, both in taste and physical effects.
"Hey. With this much energy, we can go anywhere. What do you say, guys?"
"Right!"
"Anyway, we’re off, sir!"
"Ah, be careful."
With a shout of "Yeehaaa," the Shining Heads dashed out of town.
I’m glad they’re feeling better, but,
"Maybe I shouldn’t sell this after all?"
"Well, maybe it’s better to dilute it a bit more."
"Also, I noticed, but this might end up competing with the Combat Rabbit’s place, right?"
"Well, maybe that’s okay for now?"
At least, it seems like I can make good use of the apples.
I’ll have to think more about how to dilute it and how much to sell.
Watching the Shining Heads run off at a speed that kicked up dust, I thought that was a good idea.
