My face was burning, and a hot stream flowed from my nose. I lowered my head, and the nosebleed immediately started. The two slaps I had just received made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, and the sense of injustice in my heart far outweighed the physical pain.
Faced with Han Tuding's aggressive attitude, I was about to say no, but suddenly I remembered what Uncle Second had said: "A wise man knows when to yield. In critical moments, you must use your head to protect yourself first."
"Director Han, I'll call the parents right now." I gave him Uncle Second's phone number. Although this matter was extremely unfair to me, I believed that Uncle Second would definitely help me get justice!
Han Tuding made the call in front of me, speaking in a domineering and harsh tone, as if scolding a grandson. His expression was as if everyone owed him money. None of the other teachers dared to speak, and they didn't even dare to breathe loudly in front of him. I looked down on them from the bottom of my heart!
I didn't know if Uncle Second would be angry, or if he would be angry with me, because I knew his pride was higher than anyone else's. Being scolded like this would definitely make him feel bad.
After a while, Han Tuding hung up the phone, looking satisfied and smug. He said, "The parent is quite reasonable and will be here soon."
I thought the matter would be over, but to my surprise, Han Tuding made me stand there and wait, saying I could only leave when the parent arrived. I felt an indescribable sense of injustice. I had clearly been beaten by a group, yet now I was the only one being dealt with.
Han Tuding sat down in the office, waiting for Uncle Second to arrive. The old devil walked up to me with a disdainful look and said sarcastically, "You just transferred here and started bullying classmates, even daring to hit someone. A student like you is a rotten apple, one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. If I had known, I wouldn't have let you join Class 6."
I wiped the blood from my nose, feeling an indescribable anger. I really wanted to shout at everyone, "Who the hell has ever seen a new transfer student pick a fight with the class bully? Who the hell has ever seen one person bully a group?"
But I remembered what Uncle Second had said: "If they want to frame you, they will find a way." No matter what others said now, I would wait for Uncle Second to come and tell him everything.
Time seemed to pass especially slowly, each second was unbearable. My legs were already trembling, almost unable to stand, but Han Tuding looked as if nothing had happened, crossing his legs and playing with his phone.
After about half an hour, a few people came into the office. They looked to be in their thirties, bustling about, but I didn't see Uncle Second. I felt a bit disappointed.
"Who are you looking for? Are you Xiong Sanming's parents?" Han Tuding asked rudely, his legs still crossed, looking extremely arrogant. If someone didn't know him, they might think he was the second most important person after the sky.
The group looked around, their eyes landing on me. One of them walked up and looked at my face, saying, "Are you Xiong Sanming? Your Uncle Second will be here soon. Can you hold on?"
"I'm fine!" I nodded forcefully. No matter what, I would hold on until Uncle Second came. I had to get back at Han Tuding for the two slaps, and I had never suffered such a loss before. This matter was far from over!
The group didn't say anything more and stood there without leaving. I could tell they were Uncle Second's friends, probably coming to check on me first.
Han Tuding's face was red with embarrassment, and he walked up to the group, looking them up and down with a disdainful expression. "I say, you guys are really impolite. This is not a place you can just come into."
The group didn't respond, not even looking at him. I thought they were really tough! These people didn't care about Han Tuding's attitude. They were social people, and if provoked, they might start a fight right there!
Seeing that no one was paying attention to him, Han Tuding's face turned black, and he raised his voice. "Go get the security guard! I want to see who dares to cause trouble here!"
Someone immediately ran out to call the security guard. I was secretly worried about the group in front of me, but at that moment, I heard Uncle Second's familiar voice.
"Sorry, I'm Xiong Sanming's parent. Where is he now?"
Hearing Uncle Second's voice, I was excited. I saw him walk into the office, followed by a few people, all dressed in shirts and leather shoes, looking very proper. I felt a surge of confidence.
Uncle Second saw me at once, and his face changed. I knew I must have looked terrible, but now that he was here, it was all right.
"Uncle Second!" My nose tingled, and I felt an indescribable sense of injustice. I ran to Uncle Second and told him everything, including the two slaps from Han Tuding. Uncle Second's eyes turned red.
Uncle Second's face became very stern, like a storm was about to come. Han Tuding took a few steps back, looking embarrassed, and kept asking if the security guard had arrived.
"Is what you said true?" Uncle Second asked me, word by word. I nodded forcefully.
"Uncle Second! They all beat me up, demanded money without asking any questions, and even threatened to expel me!" I pointed at Han Tuding, remembering the two slaps he had given me.
Uncle Second walked up to Han Tuding with a dark face. I thought he would explode on the spot, but unexpectedly, he smiled and apologized, then turned around and kicked me twice, saying, "Sorry, the little brat doesn't know better and has caused trouble for the school."
I was stunned. Although Uncle Second had beaten me many times before, these two kicks hurt more than ever, hitting all the injustice in my heart!
"Have you forgotten what I told you before? If you hit someone, you have to pay, no matter what the reason!"
I was completely shocked. This wasn't the Uncle Second I knew. Although he was often unpredictable, he always protected me. Han Tuding laughed along.
"I told you, the parent is reasonable. If you hit someone, you must pay for medical expenses. Otherwise, the other parent won't back down, and the school will have to call the police." Han Tuding looked smug, as if he had seen many parents grovel. Uncle Second kept smiling apologetically.
"We'll pay, we'll pay. The child is young, so don't call the police. Let's talk it out... Get out and wait outside! If you hurt someone, I can't protect you!" Uncle Second suddenly shouted at me, and I bit my lip, holding back tears as I walked out of the office.
I didn't expect Uncle Second to react this way. Standing outside the office, I felt a complex mix of emotions. Then I heard the sound of chairs being thrown and tables being smashed, along with Uncle Second's angry shouts and Han Tuding's screams.
"Damn you, you dare to touch my nephew? You old bastard, are you tired of living? Do you know who I am? I can touch him, but who dares to touch him?"
"You! What did you say? Who are you calling an old bastard?"
"I'm calling you, you bald monk. You hit someone and demand money, right? You hit him without asking any questions, right? I'll pay you the medical expenses right now!"
Then I heard a dull thud, as if something had been knocked over, followed by many people's screams and cries.
Hearing the fight in the office, with Uncle Second's shouts and Han Tuding's screams, I touched my sore bottom, completely confused, not understanding what was happening...
I thought Uncle Second had been bowing and apologizing just a moment ago, but I never imagined he would turn so quickly and actually attack Han Tuding.
The fight inside got more intense, and the sounds suggested it was very violent. But it quickly calmed down, and I couldn't resist my curiosity and pushed open the office door. I saw Han Tuding lying on the ground, his hair disheveled and his head bleeding. The office was a mess, like a car accident scene.
Uncle Second looked unsatisfied, standing there and breathing heavily. The other people also looked like they had been in a fight. I was stunned, feeling a sense of dominance from him!
"Uncle Second, what are you doing..."
"It's nothing, just a little itch. This has nothing to do with you." Uncle Second said nonchalantly. At that moment, I felt he was truly my uncle, but the situation was a mess, and Han Tuding was on the ground. What should we do now?
"Sanming, remember, if you hit someone, you have to pay. I'll pay him first today, and you can pay me back later. If anyone dares to touch you, you fight back to the death. If something happens, you deal with it yourself. I won't clean up your mess. Understand?"
"I understand." I nodded forcefully.
Uncle Second and the others started smoking, showing no signs of leaving. They would occasionally spit on the ground. I had never felt Uncle Second so dominant before, not only beating up Han Tuding but also saying these words in front of the other teachers.
But I probably couldn't continue school and would be expelled...
Soon, the school security arrived, and Uncle Second and the others were caught. They didn't resist, but seeing Uncle Second being taken away made me feel especially bad.
But Uncle Second kept his head high, still looking unsatisfied. At that moment, I suddenly understood what it meant to take responsibility for one's actions. If I could handle it myself, why would I involve Uncle Second?
"Uncle Second!" My tears couldn't be held back, streaming down my face.
"Go wash your face and get back to class. Don't worry, no one will expel you unless I'm dead!" Uncle Second said his last words and was taken away. I wiped my tears and nodded forcefully.
I washed my face in the restroom, looking at myself in the mirror. I made a firm decision in my heart: from now on, I would take responsibility for my actions and never involve Uncle Second again, nor let anyone bully me!
When I returned to the classroom, everyone looked at me in surprise. I walked back to my seat in the last row, picked up Wang Gang's book, erased his name, and wrote "Xiong Sanming" on the first page...
