Chen Feng ignored the envious and jealous lottery players, went to the counter to claim his prize, and then left directly.

The scratch card that won him a car, Chen Feng planned to wait another day. He would look around the area the next day, and if there was still no news, he would naturally claim the prize himself.

That night, Chen Feng packed his luggage, planning to find a place to move out the next day.

Shen Lin did not return home that night.

The next morning, Chen Feng first went to the lottery shop. There was no one in the shop at the time, only the shop owner.

Chen Feng casually asked, "Have you heard of anyone winning a big prize with a scratch card recently?"

Chen Feng had won over 3,000 yuan yesterday, and he had been a regular customer for the past two years, so the shop owner still remembered him. He smiled and said, "The biggest prize won with a scratch card here should be you. You won over 3,000 yuan with just two cards yesterday."

Chen Feng nodded and didn't say much more. He took 20 yuan and bought two more cards. He didn't scratch them on the spot but left with them.

He planned to find a place nearby, as he had lived in the area for almost two years and was familiar with it.

His luck was quite good. As he passed a bun shop, he bought a few meat buns and a box of milk, and casually asked if there were any single rooms for rent nearby. The shop owner happened to know and even gave him the landlord's phone number.

While eating the meat buns, he called the landlord and had breakfast nearby.

It took only a few minutes to walk there. They met at the breakfast shop, and the landlord, who was straightforward and had a good impression of him, took him to see the room right away.

The new place was just two streets away from his current residence, in an old neighborhood with over 20 years of history, but it wasn't too dilapidated.

It was on the first floor, about 50 square meters, with simple renovations. It had a living room, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a small outdoor courtyard of about 7 to 8 square meters. The kitchen was connected to the courtyard, small but just enough.

The monthly rent was 800 yuan, with a one-month deposit and three-month payment. Chen Feng said he would rent it for a year and pay 10,000 yuan upfront. For renewal, he would need to notify two months in advance.

The landlord agreed without hesitation.

They quickly signed the contract and waived the agency fee.

Chen Feng had a good impression of the chubby middle-aged landlord. Although he paid a bit more in rent, he felt a bit guilty.

He thought that he might die suddenly in this room in the future. He could only leave some money for the landlord as compensation when he was about to die.

Chen Feng was always considerate of others, so his life, which was about to end, had been unsatisfactory and full of worries.

After finding a place, which was not far from his previous "home," Chen Feng took a taxi to move his luggage over.

He then tidied up a bit, and everything was in order.

He went out and walked to the street where he had found the winning lottery ticket, but still saw no one looking for it.

He also went to the lottery shop, but heard no news of a lost ticket.

Until noon, after having lunch, Chen Feng still found no rumors of a lost winning ticket.

It seemed that the car-winning lottery ticket was a gift from heaven.

Heaven's gifts should not be refused.

Chen Feng no longer tried to find the owner and went directly to the lottery prize center by taxi.

He smoothly claimed a Buick Envision worth over 200,000 yuan, the model he had wanted to buy for years but couldn't afford.

Now, a single lottery ticket had made it happen.

Driving the Buick, Chen Feng felt little joy, as he was about to die.

He drove aimlessly through the city with millions of people, and before he knew it, he had left the city and was driving along a straight road.

After driving for a while, he turned a corner and entered a side road. The scenery suddenly opened up to a lush green field, forests, golden rice fields, and herds of cattle and sheep, a thriving pastoral scene.

Seeing the beautiful scenery, Chen Feng's mood improved significantly.

After driving for a while, the traffic gradually decreased. Chen Feng decided to stop and stretch his legs.

He realized that it had been over two hours.

At that moment, he saw a Mini parked by the roadside, and a beautiful woman with long hair was standing by the car, waving at him.

He soon reached the Mini, stopped his car, and rolled down the window to ask, "Is there something wrong?"

"Can I borrow your phone? My car broke down, and my phone is dead." The woman bent down and looked into the car. She was indeed very beautiful, about 23 or 24 years old, with a pure appearance and a pleasant voice.

"Sure! I'll stop the car."

Chen Feng drove a bit forward and parked on the side. He then got out and handed his phone to the woman without hesitation.

It wasn't that he had no guard, but the area was surrounded by fields, with no villages nearby and few cars on the road. The only person around was this young, beautiful woman. Could she be setting up a scam?

More importantly, Chen Feng was about to die, so he was bolder than usual and not afraid of being cheated for doing a good deed.

"Thank you, thank you."

The girl took the phone and thanked him repeatedly. She then called a friend, spoke for a while, and ended the call, returning the phone to Chen Feng.

"Big brother, thank you. I'll treat you to a meal another day."

"No need."

Chen Feng took the phone and waved to leave, but the girl called him back, "Big brother, could you... could you wait with me for a bit? My friend will be here soon. I'll treat you to a meal another day. I really appreciate it."

She finally pleaded with her hands together.

Chen Feng, who had already planned to get out and enjoy the scenery, readily agreed, "Alright. I'll stay here and enjoy the scenery and rest a bit."

"Thank you, big brother, you're so kind." The girl looked grateful. In this isolated area, with a broken car and a dead phone, and no one passing by, she was naturally a bit scared.

Chen Feng walked to his car, took a bottle of pure water from the car, and started drinking while looking around the pastoral scenery.

It was October, and the golden rice fields were almost ready for harvest. In the distance, a few water buffaloes were leisurely grazing, and a group of white sheep were eating grass and bleating, looking very content.

Chen Feng stared at the white sheep, almost drooling.

"Big brother, are you from around here?" The girl suddenly asked, standing next to him.

Chen Feng came to his senses and shook his head, "No."

"Oh, I'm Wu Mengting. What's your surname?" The girl was trying to get closer to Chen Feng.

"I'm Chen." Chen Feng didn't want to give his name and instead asked, "Why are you here alone?"

Wu Mengting smiled a bit embarrassedly, "I came to take some photos of the fields. Who knew my car would break down here, and my phone would run out of battery."

She turned to Chen Feng and thanked him again, "Thank you so much, Brother Chen. Otherwise, I would have been in trouble. It's several kilometers from here to the main road. I waited for half an hour and saw no one, and I was afraid of encountering bad people."

"Aren't you afraid I might be a bad person?" Chen Feng asked curiously.

Wu Mengting laughed, "Big brother, you don't look like a bad person. You look very kind. Besides, your car looks new, right? It must cost over 200,000 yuan. People who can afford such a new car are usually not bad."

Chen Feng didn't quite understand her logic.

However, she was right. He looked handsome and kind, far from being a bad person.
