Behind him, Wang Qin stood still, her seductive gaze constantly sizing up the two of them, and finally stepped forward to mediate the situation.

"Manager Fu, this handsome guy, this is a bank. Can’t you talk about your issues outside? It’s not good to cause a scene here."

An Yang glanced at Fu Jianming and said, "You haven’t forgotten, and neither have I. No matter what you plan to do next, I’ll be ready. If you have something to say, just call me. Whether it’s for a drink at a teahouse outside the Third Ring Road, or an empty public toilet at night, there’s nowhere I won’t go."

Just as Fu Jianming was about to speak, Wang Qin, seeing the situation escalating, quickly pulled him back, her chest trembling slightly.

"Manager Fu, calm down. We have business to attend to at the bank. Can we talk about this later? And you, handsome guy, I think I’ve seen you at the company before. Since we’re colleagues, we’ll see each other often. Can’t you just let it go? Besides, I’m standing here. Can you bear to lose your temper in front of me? I’m easily scared..."

An Yang remained unmoved, glanced at her somewhat pretty face, and let his gaze drift downward, lingering for a moment in the deep valley before quickly moving away. He then turned to the machine to get a number.

Fu Jianming had long been lusting after Wang Qin. He finally found an opportunity to be alone with her, but now he had lost face. How could he be content with that!

He cast a sinister glance at An Yang and came up with a plan. "An Yang, losing your job must feel terrible, right? The cost of living in Jinguang City isn’t low. How much money do you have left in your account? If you say a few nice words to me, I’ll let you back into the company. What do you say?"

An Yang glanced at him with disdain. "You’re just a dog, and you really think you’re someone important."

Fu Jianming’s face darkened, and his tone grew angrier. "Don’t be ungrateful. It’s not easy to find a high-paying job. I’m doing you a favor, so don’t take it for granted."

At that moment, An Yang’s number was called. He ignored Fu Jianming and walked straight to the counter, taking out several thick stacks of U.S. dollars. "Currency exchange, I have a reservation. A total of fifty thousand U.S. dollars."

Fu Jianming was stunned, his eyes filled with disbelief. Fifty thousand U.S. dollars, at the current exchange rate, that was over three hundred thousand RMB. His annual salary wasn’t even that high.

Wang Qin was also taken aback, and her eyes immediately sparkled as she looked at An Yang. She hadn’t expected him to be a rich second-generation.

"Impossible!"

Fu Jianming said in a deep voice.

"You must have stolen it from somewhere!"

An Yang ignored him, exchanged all the U.S. dollars for RMB, and thanked the teller before turning to leave, but stopped beside Fu Jianming.

"If you say I stole it, then come out. I’ll prove it to you."

Fu Jianming instinctively wanted to step out but stopped after taking one step, casting a fearful glance at An Yang. "If you tell me to go out, I’ll go out. Why should I go out?"

An Yang snorted and pushed open the door, walking out without looking back.

Fu Jianming watched his back and shouted, "An Yang, don’t get too cocky. We’ll see about this. I’ve been in Jinguang City for five years, and I don’t believe I can’t get rid of you!"

A security guard walked over, looking at him with disdain. "Sir, please keep quiet and don’t make a loud noise."

Fu Jianming took a deep breath. Even Wang Qin’s gaze was different, filled with mockery, which made him even angrier. He turned to the security guard and shouted, "What I do is none of your business. When did a security guard start telling me what to do!"

The security guard felt aggrieved. Although he was even more disdainful, he was still a security guard. If he didn’t want to lose his job, he had to be polite. That’s the reality of society.

"Sir, I’m just politely reminding you. According to the rules, if you continue to cause a disturbance, I have the right to maintain order and ask you to leave."

Fu Jianming was humiliated. He wasn’t stupid and knew that continuing to cause a scene would only make things worse for him and lower his standing in Wang Qin’s eyes. He decided to keep quiet.

Only the rising and falling of his chest and his heavy breathing revealed his inner anger.

...

An Yang walked down the street, his eyes cold. He had seen blood and taken lives, and the number of people he had killed was more than just a few. Although he had to be cautious in the real world with his current strength, if Fu Jianming continued to provoke him, he had the means to deal with him.

He took out his phone and called An You. This number had been in his phone for a while, but he had used it no more than five times.

The call was quickly answered, and a sweet, soft voice came through.

"Hello, who is this?"

An Yang was taken aback and rubbed his nose. The girl hadn’t even saved his number.

"It’s me, An Yang."

There was a pause on the other end, then, "Oh, it’s you. What do you want?"

An Yang didn’t want to say things like "I’m your brother, can’t I call you for nothing?" Such words were meaningless between them and would only make An You more silent.

"Mom gave me some money and asked me to take you shopping for clothes. I’m pretty free these days. When are you free? We can go out and shop."

There was silence on the other end for a long time before a voice finally came through. "No need. You’re busy with work, and I don’t lack clothes. I’ll buy them myself when I need them."

An Yang was a bit helpless. Was it just because he used to bully her as a child? This girl’s grudge-holding ability was unmatched. So, he repeated his earlier words.

"I’m pretty free these days, and Mom has already transferred the money to my account."

This time there was no silence. An You said directly, "Then transfer the money to me, and I’ll buy them myself."

An Yang was taken aback, momentarily speechless. He heard an electronic voice from the other end: "Al Mall - Bus Stop. Please exit from the rear door."

Al Mall was a landmark in Jinguang City, a comprehensive shopping center with various clothing, dining, entertainment, and fitness options, but the prices were high, not suitable for the average working class.

However, the area around the mall had various snacks, branded and non-branded clothing stores, entertainment facilities, and leisure spots, making it a good place for ordinary people to shop and play. One could say that anyone visiting Jinguang City must visit Al Mall.

"Al Mall, right? It’s not far from here. Wait for me, I’ll be there soon."

After saying that, An Yang hung up and hailed a taxi, heading straight for Al Mall.

The traffic was a bit congested, and it took a while.

After getting out of the taxi, he saw An You and a companion standing by the bus stop, using the shelter to block the sun.

It was early June, and the temperature outside was high. Both women were sweating but still waiting there.

An Yang quickly walked over and said to An You, "Did you wait long? You could have gone inside the mall to wait."

An You nodded but didn’t greet him. She said directly, "I told you not to come, but you insisted. Is it fun for you to follow us around while we shop?"

An Yang ignored her and smiled at the girl beside her. "You must be An You’s friend. I’m An You’s brother, An Yang."

The girl beside her looked at An Yang, then at An You, and pursed her lips. Out of politeness, she greeted him, "I’m Xiao Xueer. Nice to meet you, brother."

Her voice was a bit cold but still had a soft, girlish quality. It was clear she didn’t care much about An Yang.

An You was a bit unhappy and directly pulled Xiao Xueer to a shopping street beside the mall. She didn’t like being with An Yang, especially after telling him not to come and he still insisted.

An Yang shrugged indifferently and followed them, considering it a task given by his mother.

Thus, a peculiar scene unfolded on the street: two extremely eye-catching young girls walking in front, and a plain young man following behind, with almost no interaction between them.

To be fair, An You was very pretty, not too tall but not short for her age. She wore light blue denim shorts and a white T-shirt, exposing a pair of white, smooth thighs, and red sneakers, exuding a youthful vibe.

Xiao Xueer was a bit taller, with a face that didn’t fall short of An You’s. She wore a tight white dress with a bit of lace, barely covering her thighs, accentuating her perfect figure, and her long, straight legs were even more eye-catching.

An Yang followed behind with a blank expression, but his mind was idly calculating.

Xiao Xueer was undoubtedly beautiful, but An You wasn’t bad either. Both were in the category of young, beautiful girls, but Xiao Xueer’s figure was excellent. He didn’t know how she had grown into such a shape, but it completely outshone An You’s underdeveloped figure.

Moreover, Xiao Xueer’s attire and style were excellent. Her tight dress was well-made, indicating a good family background. In comparison, An You’s casual and relaxed style was a bit lacking.

Just as An Yang was feeling sad for his sister, An You thought for a moment and realized that ignoring him wasn’t good. But when she turned her head, she saw his gaze fixed on Xiao Xueer’s back, and her face darkened. She turned her head sharply and quickened her pace.

For the rest of the time, An You and Xiao Xueer shopped and bought some snacks, while An Yang followed behind, paying the bills.

An Yang found it boring to follow behind and kept hinting for the two girls to buy clothes, hoping to spend the five thousand RMB and be done with it.

At first, An You and Xiao Xueer browsed some nearby clothing stores, but Xiao Xueer clearly looked down on the cheap clothes. An You found a few suitable ones but didn’t buy them after trying them on.

An Yang couldn’t help but think that these two girls were teaming up to torment him.
