"Keta-sama, Keta-sama"
I was woken up by being shaken.
I had apparently fallen asleep on the sofa.
It seems they woke me up for dinner.
Meals at the dorm are usually taken in the cafeteria.
You can also takeout, so it's possible to eat in your room.
I want to see the cafeteria, so I'm going!
Before I knew it, Suke had joined us, and we moved together.
Arushein and Shelle always go to the cafeteria to eat.
Normally, attendants don't eat with their masters, but the cafeteria gets crowded quickly due to the large number of people, so attendants and maids eat at separate tables simultaneously.
I was surprised by the number of people, but everyone here is either a noble or the child of a wealthy merchant.
And there are some exceptionally talented commoner students.
Everyone is dazzling!
When we arrived at the cafeteria, there was a button on the table. You choose your menu and press the button to call a server to place your order, and they bring the food.
It's like a family restaurant!
The button was a magical device.
The cafeteria was about 70% full, and we sat at an empty corner table.
Arushein didn't mind, so Shelle and Suke also ate at the same table.
I was surprised when the server brought a child-sized chair with the food!
It's for the children of the faculty!
Well, it's for regular children, so it's too big for me, but that can't be helped.
I thanked them with a smile!
There was also a children's menu!
Of course, I ordered it! A kids' meal! And it's a daily special! The bread and meat are a bit tough!
It's not as good as the palace food, but the palace has the best chefs in the country!
I think the cafeteria food was delicious!
While evaluating the taste from a condescending perspective and drinking tea after the meal, there was some commotion in the center of the cafeteria.
Looking over, I saw Cavendish in the middle of the commotion with a two-timer, and it seems those two were causing trouble again.
I don't want to get involved, so I'll leave early!
I'll go back to my room, relax, take a bath, and go to bed.
Good night.
---
I woke up with a start, feeling something was off, and checked with my eyes without moving.
Oh right, the dorm life started yesterday.
I felt relieved and started my daily stretching routine, but the bed was narrower than usual, so I did it in the space under the bed without waking Arushein.
I'm still incredibly flexible! I was impressed with my own body when Arushein suddenly sat up and jumped out of bed.
I was about to be stepped on by Arushein, who got out of bed!
"Whoa!"
I flew away, and Arushein said,
"Ah, Keta, you were there. I'm sorry."
He apologized, looking worried because he couldn't find me.
When I told him the bed was too narrow, he asked if I wanted a bigger bed.
I declined because the current bed is fine for sleeping.
It was a mystery why Arushein looked a bit dissatisfied.
Shelle was there, so we got dressed, and Arushein changed into his uniform.
It's like a white gakuran with navy blue trim, and it suits Arushein very well.
That's why handsome guys are so annoying! Even with a delinquent face!
Ah, Shelle is in a different department, so she wears a navy blue uniform with white trim, similar to Arushein's.
My clothes today are the usual soft fabric overalls, navy blue, and the round stitching on the back is probably because it's for a diaper-wearing toddler? I don't even go to the bathroom.
Suke, who was waiting outside the room, is in the knight department, so he wears a dark green uniform with white trim.
We went to the cafeteria for breakfast. It seems news about me has spread quickly, as yesterday everyone was surprised and stared at me, but today many people are waving or smiling at me while I'm being carried by Arushein.
I waved back, and the girls squealed happily, and the boys smiled even more.
We ate breakfast at a corner table.
There's a daily special kids' meal for breakfast, which is very helpful!
There was a commotion at the center table again. Looking over, I saw Cavendish with the two-timer, and there was one more person!
I was surprised and made eye contact with the new person!
He had long silver hair, heterochromia with one blue and one green eye, a beautiful but expressionless face, and an aura similar to the elf headmaster, but even more like the Pope, though younger.
The moment our eyes met, the air seemed to bloom, and the next instant, he was right in front of me!
What! Did he teleport?
Surprised, I clung to Arushein next to me,
"Prince Arushein, good morning. May I join you?"
He asked Arushein in a deep voice that didn't match his appearance.
Caught off guard, Arushein was a bit flustered,
"Ah, yes, Assembly-sama, good morning. It's fine to sit with us, but..."
"Thank you! Please call me Yegram."
"O-Okay, Yegram."
"Thank you, I'll be on my way."
Yegram sat in the empty seat, and Shelle and Suke tried to stand up, but Yegram told them to stay and eat, so they sat back down.
I've been staring at Yegram, but I'm used to it from Anneliese, so I'm not bothered,
"Prince Arushein, is this child your child?"
"Choke... I apologize."
Yegram's question made Shelle choke, but she quickly composed herself.
"No, this child is a sudden mutation fairy and is here because he's liked."
"Ah! A sudden mutation fairy? I've never seen such a cute fairy! May I ask your name, little fairy?"
Seeing Arushein nod,
"My name is Keta, nice to meet you."
The air seemed to bloom even more, but Yegram remained expressionless,
"I am the Pope's first child, Yegram Assembly. Please call me Yegram. Let's be friends."
He said.
While I was thinking about how to respond,
"Hey, Yegram-sama, why are you sitting there? We had a lunch date, remember? Come over here!"
The two-timer rushed over and grabbed Yegram's arm.
Yegram's expression didn't change, but he frowned at the two-timer and turned around,
"I don't recall making any such promise."
He answered in a very cold voice.
The two-timer and the girls around who heard shivered.
It was a voice that could kill!
Then Cavendish appeared.
"What's going on, Lina?"
"Ah, Dish! Yegram-sama is so mean! He's breaking our breakfast promise!"
"What? What do you mean! Yegram Assembly! You made a promise with my Lina and are breaking it! I thought you were a responsible man!"
Yegram, watching the exchange between the two-timer and Cavendish, sighed and said to Cavendish,
"I don't recall making any such promise with that woman. You can think what you want, but I won't tolerate false accusations."
His clear voice cut through Cavendish's accusations.
"What? Lina?"
"So mean! Dish, you doubt me! We've come this far, it's as good as a promise! And when we met yesterday, you said to call you by your name! You're breaking that promise too! ...But if you were just shy, I can forgive you this time?"
The two-timer sent a heated gaze with her eyes.
Yegram looked at her with a cold face.
The temperature difference between them was making me shiver.
"I never made any promise with you, and I have nothing to apologize for! I will never call you by your name! ...Prince Arushein, Keta-sama, I'll take my leave now."
It was a very firm rejection.
He bowed to us and left.
The two-timer was trembling, either from anger or something else, and Cavendish, though confused, seemed unhappy that Arushein was here and glared at us.
It was very annoying.
We had finished eating during their exchange, so I ignored them and went back to the room!
Cavendish said something as we passed, but I ignored him, of course!
Back in the room, I held my backpack and went to school.
It seems carrying things is Shelle's job, and Arushein went to school empty-handed. I carried my backpack just because.
The school building is unnecessarily luxurious.
Do they really need carvings on every pillar? I want to ask.
Arushein is in 1st year S class.
Why is it in English? When I asked Shelle, she said similar letters to English were used in ancient languages.
But why S? Isn't A the beginning? When I asked Shelle, she said it stands for special!
The classroom on the second floor is spacious, like a lecture hall in my previous life, with individual desks and chairs for attendants and maids.
The seating arrangement seems fixed, and Arushein sat at the back by the window.
There are about 20 students in the class.
The desks are so wide that I can sit at the edge without being in the way.
I felt the difference in the world and was oddly reassured by the blackboard on the podium.
Looking around busily, I saw a familiar person coming straight toward me.
"Prince Arushein, Keta-sama, I apologize for earlier."
Yegram stopped in front of me and bowed.
His silver hair, well-maintained, flowed smoothly.
I couldn't help but grab a strand of hair that fell in front of my face.
"Hey, what are you doing!"
Arushein scolded me.
Holding the hair, I showed it to Arushein,
"It's so smooth and silky."
Arushein and Suke scolded me,
"Stop it, you're making Assembly-sama freeze!"
Looking at Yegram, he seemed both troubled and happy, unable to move.
Shelle was laughing silently, looking away.
I let go and said,
"I'm sorry."
Yegram straightened up and patted my head,
"Keta-sama's hair is soft."
He praised me with a nice voice.
"Yegram, even if it was a child's action, I'm sorry."
"It's fine, don't worry. It was a reflex, and you praised me."
Yegram, though always expressionless, is easy to read and seems to like children.
More people entered the classroom, and the conversation between Arushein and Yegram, the indifferent Suke, and the still laughing Shelle, along with me, drew many gazes.
Most of the gazes were of curiosity, suggesting they weren't that close before.
A new voice confirmed this.
"Wow, what a rare combination! What? When did you two become close?"
The voice belonged to a charming guy.
He had light brown hair and dark brown eyes, and though not overly expensive, he wore multiple accessories and had a relaxed uniform, but he was handsome enough to avoid looking vulgar.
