I was so pleased to receive your comments that I posted another page.
Thank you!
Today, I've updated three pages.
We arrived at the cafeteria.
Oh, the dormitory cafeteria.
Jus and Shell joined us.
The school cafeteria is only open for lunch and light meals.
The cafeteria was moderately crowded, and we sat at a corner table.
After deciding on our menu and waiting, there was another commotion at the center table.
Even though we've only been at the school for two days, the cafeteria disturbances are becoming a regular occurrence.
At the center of the commotion are, as usual, the two-timing girl and Cavendish.
I can't understand why they can't eat their meals without causing a fuss.
They're making a racket, demanding that the most attention-grabbing spot in the center be given to them.
When a student stood up to quickly give up their seat, they started a quarrel, asking why the seat wasn't reserved for them from the beginning.
I really can't understand it.
Since coming to this world, I've noticed that young ladies avoid unnecessary contact with the opposite sex (except for children, I get touched too much!) and try to avoid being alone with them. Yet, the two-timing girl goes out of her way to approach Cavendish and casually touches other young men.
Both the young ladies and young men are giving her looks of disgust.
Even though the young men who enjoy being touched by her show obvious ulterior motives, she takes it as a sign of her own charm and popularity.
Her uniform, which she must have altered herself, has uneven seams, a shortened skirt, and a slit in the chest area that wasn't there originally.
A young man I didn't know muttered that she looked like a prostitute.
All the members of our table are so exasperated that they avoid getting involved, but there are a few who, out of curiosity, approach her.
In this awkward atmosphere,
"Ah! President! Secretary! You two are here together! How wonderful!"
Suddenly, the air was torn by the shrill screams of the young ladies.
The noise made my head spin.
As I was reeling, the two-timing girl, naturally having heard the screams, lit up at the sight of their target.
From within the sound barrier I had hastily put up, I watched the two-timing girl approach the president.
I couldn't hear their conversation, but the amount of flattery in her gaze made me want to stick out my tongue in disgust. Then, the student called the secretary, who was with the president, approached us for some reason.
Diggory and Ygrum, who had been poking at the barrier I had set up, looked awkward when they noticed the secretary approaching.
Unable to get through the barrier, the secretary asked Ygrum what to do, and Ygrum suggested lowering the barrier. Since it was still noisy outside, I decided to let only the secretary through. Diggory, excited, asked how I did it.
I pleaded with my eyes for him to entertain the secretary for a moment.
It seemed to work.
"What's the matter? Do you need something?"
The secretary bowed to Arlshein.
"Well, I thought I'd say hello since I saw such an unusual combination."
"Ah, I see! We were grouped together today. When we talked, I found out that Prince Arlshein is more approachable than I thought, and we were all practicing magic just now."
"Is it true that the rumor about Prince Arlshein's curse being lifted and him being able to use magic is true? Congratulations."
"Yes, thank you, O'Connell. I still need to practice, though."
"No, no, no! Don't get ahead of us!"
"? Get ahead? But I thought Prince Arlshein only recently learned to use magic?"
"That's right! It's been two weeks! Two weeks! In just two weeks, we've been surpassed! It's unbelievable, isn't it?"
"Is that even possible?"
"Me neither! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, but it's true."
Diggory's tone was awkward and monotonous.
The secretary, intrigued by his attitude, looked at Arlshein with sparkling eyes.
I let the server who had arrived behind the secretary into the barrier and focused on the children's lunch that had been served.
No child can resist food placed in front of them!
Arlshein, being watched, seemed to have trouble eating, but he didn't stop, and the others continued to eat as if nothing was happening.
In the cafeteria, it's generally okay to ignore people who talk to you even if you're not sitting at the same table.
Otherwise, the cafeteria would always be full, and people would go hungry.
The secretary smiled wryly at us, bowed to Arlshein, and left the barrier to return to the president.
After the secretary left the barrier, I asked Diggory.
"Secretary, acquaintance?"
"Yeah, I'm the treasurer of the student council, and Ygrum is the vice president!"
Surprising news.
When I asked, it turned out that the student council at this school doesn't have much work and is chosen from high-ranking nobles other than the royal family. Diggory, a commoner, was pulled in by Ygrum.
If a royal is chosen, they might give unreasonable orders that no one can refuse.
Thinking of Cavendish, I understood.
The lack of work is because if too much responsibility is given to students, the school might not be able to take full responsibility for unforeseen events. It's complicated for a school attended by nobles!
So, while the student council has no real power, the current president is a show-off with an unnecessarily high pride, who likes to make speeches in public.
His grades are good, but he's a nuisance and a fool, Ygrum said harshly.
The secretary has bright red hair and eyes, and is a muscular man, almost a bodybuilder, standing three steps behind Ingrid. He's taller than Arlshein and is a manly handsome man.
The president has black hair and eyes, reminiscent of my past life, and is also handsome.
While Ygrum has a delicate beauty, the president seems nervous and pretentious, but it doesn't quite fit him.
Both are handsome, so they've been targeted by the two-timing girl.
Because of the barrier, I can't hear the outside, but I can see the two-timing girl approaching the president and the secretary, wriggling and trying to make an impression. I can see from a distance that Cavendish's mood is getting worse and worse. Should we just leave her be?
The surrounding young ladies are stabbing the two-timing girl with looks of jealousy, contempt, and disgust, which she returns with a sense of superiority. She's pouring gasoline on the fire!
The young men are either repelled, amused, or trying to escape.
We should leave before we get caught in the crossfire!
Thank you for the meal.
After relaxing in the room for a while, take a bath and go to bed.
