Chapter 53

The last one was afflicted with poison, curses, lacerations, burns, broken bones, and bruises all over their body.

Due to the curse, the bleeding wouldn't stop, and since only one person could cast magic, all we could do was replenish the blood to keep them alive.

Black, squishy things were growing from the wounds on their body.

"Th-they're cursed! Teacher, step back for a moment!"

"Don't be ridiculous! If we do that, they'll lose too much blood!"

"Shut up and listen! The bleeding won't stop because of the curse, so we need to remove the curse first!"

"Huh? A curse? You mean that baby can remove a curse? That's absurd!"

"Just do it! Step back! He says he can remove the curse!"

The intellectual yakuza teacher forcibly pulled the other teacher away, and in that moment, I cast a barrier and filled it with as much purification magic as I could.

The squishy black things slowed down, gradually faded, and eventually disappeared.

Once I confirmed they were gone, I immediately dispelled the purification magic and filled the barrier with healing magic.

I stopped the bleeding, replenished the blood, closed the wounds, and reconnected the bones, imagining them returning to their original state.

I removed the poison, and as I did, the breathing finally stabilized, the face changed from white to blue, and gradually took on a reddish hue.

By the time only minor bruises remained,

"Ah!"

"Hey! Run!"

"Idiot! Not that way!"

A chorus of screams came from outside the tent.

The intellectual yakuza teacher rushed out, and a few students carried in the injured.

"Teacher, please take care of these students!"

Saying that, they left the injured and rushed back outside.

From what I could see, there weren't many seriously injured, so the two teachers should be enough.

I had finished treating the student, so I dispelled the barrier and said,

"Teacher, I'm done, I'll go check outside."

I stepped out of the tent.

Outside, there were multiple monsters, each carrying poison or curses.

I cast a strong barrier around myself and approached the cursed monsters.

One of them had a body like an ape and a face like an old man.

Moreover, it was the stereotypical perverted old man.

It had a barcode for hair and looked like it was about to laugh with a creepy grin.

The young ladies had already been loaded onto carriages and sent away, but a few were still left, and the monster was clearly targeting them.

Some male students had been lightly injured while protecting the young ladies, as if the attack magic wasn't effective.

I surrounded the old man ape monster with a barrier.

Trapped inside, the old man ape monster went berserk, pounding on the barrier, but before it could break through, I filled the barrier with purification magic.

Instead of attacking, the old man ape monster writhed in agony, thrashed around for a while, and then collapsed, convulsing and becoming still.

I confirmed that no black squishy things were coming out of its body and then dispelled the barrier.

I moved on to the next one.

It seemed that the old man ape monster was the only one using curses, and as I took them down one by one, the students, teachers, and adventurers were able to handle the rest.

So I returned to the tent, called out to the teacher, and asked them to separate the students who had been cursed, and I purified them all at once.

By the time I was done, I was exhausted and collapsed in a corner of the tent.

The black cat, worried, started licking my face, but the rough tongue hurt when it licked the same spot repeatedly, so I petted its head to make it stop.

As I lay there, the commotion outside gradually calmed down, and the flow of people carrying the injured also slowed.

Occasional shouts could be heard, perhaps from the excitement of defeating the monsters. The intellectual yakuza teacher entered the tent to check on the students, so it seemed things were under control.

The intellectual yakuza teacher noticed me lying in the corner and rushed over.

"Hey! Are you okay? Did you get hurt anywhere?"

"I'm fine, just tired."

"Ah, I see. Thanks to you, the damage was minimized. Thank you!"

He ruffled my hair and picked me up.

The black cat, worried, jumped onto my stomach and glared at the intellectual yakuza teacher.

I was carried to where Arlshein and the others were.

"Kaita-sama! What happened? Are you hurt? I'll get a teacher right away!"

"Calm down! He's just exhausted from overexerting himself. He's not hurt at all."

Seeing me so exhausted, Yugram was about to run off to get a teacher, but the intellectual yakuza teacher stopped him and passed me to Arlshein.

Was he being gentler than usual because he was showing his appreciation?

When our eyes met, I raised my hand and said,

"Good job!"

and he patted my head.

"Yeah, Kaita-sama, you overdid it! Thanks to you, we were saved, but our efforts didn't stand out at all!"

Digray said with a hint of complaint, but he was smiling and his hand was gentle.

Yugram also patted my back, and I soon fell asleep.

The intense time had ended.

When I woke up, I was in my dorm room bed.

I was glad I could sleep through the carriage ride.

The black cat rubbed against me, and it was very cute.

Shel had apparently changed my clothes. I was wearing a fluffy, cozy outfit, black in color, with a hood that had triangular ears. There was a tail on the back.

Did Shel prepare this outfit overnight? Did she sew it? I didn't really care.

I carried the black cat out of the bedroom, and in the living room, Shel, Yugram, and Digray were waiting for me.

Arlshein carried me to the dining room.

It was later than usual, so there were fewer people, and the atmosphere was calm.

I ate slowly, and once my stomach was full, I felt drowsy again. I thought I might fall asleep, but my head suddenly fell back, and I woke up.

Blinking, I saw everyone smiling at me.

Their affectionate gazes were a bit overwhelming, so I wished they would stop.

After finishing my tea, I stood up to return to my room, and I heard footsteps approaching.

I didn't recognize the person who stopped in front of us.

"Um, fairy! Thank you so much for helping us today!"

I didn't remember seeing him, but apparently, I had helped him.

"Are you okay now?"

"Yes! I went to the school infirmary just to be safe, but there were no problems! I was pretty badly injured, but there's no trace of it now! I just wanted to say thank you!"

"Be careful next time!"

"Yes, I will! Ah, Prince Arlshein, everyone, I'm sorry to intrude suddenly."

He bowed deeply and quickly returned to his friends.

They patted his shoulders and head, and he was laughing.

He seemed very energetic, which was a relief.

"That's good."

As I watched him absentmindedly, Arlshein said,

"Yeah, Kaita did a great job!"

I felt a bit embarrassed and rubbed Arlshein's chest, and he patted my head. The black cat licked my nose.

It was a tough day, but everyone was safe, and I even received thanks, so it was a day well spent!
