Chapter 10

After watching a charity video produced by the Chen Long Foundation, the final round of the charity night auction began.

The first item was the armor Chen Long wore while filming "Myth." The opening bid was 1.2 million, and Chen Long's fans quickly started bidding. Chen Zuming, who had been on the phone, was somewhat stunned; it was just a piece of armor, but it eventually sold for 2.18 million.

The second item was a model of a palace pavilion made of rosewood, donated by Chen Long. It was originally given to Chen Long by Chen Lihua, the wife of the actor who played Tang僧 in the 1986 version of "Journey to the West." Chen Zuming, who had been on the phone, joined the bidding, starting with a bid of 2 million, which drew everyone's attention. It finally sold for 3.88 million.

The host, seeing Chen Zuming on stage, said, "We are all curious about who was on the phone."

Chen Long also smiled and said, "I asked for a long time, but he wouldn't tell me."

Chen Zuming took the microphone and said, "Actually, it has nothing to do with my family. This is a gift from my friend Mr. Wang to Ms. Zhou Xun."

Zhou Xun, upon hearing it was for her, was surprised at first but then looked sweet, clearly knowing who it was from.

"Wow!"

Amid the female host's scream, everyone looked at Wang Zixuan, who was chatting with Xu Ruoxuan.

Wang Zixuan was sitting between Chen Zuming and Chen Kun, with Zhou Xun on one side and Xu Ruoxuan on the other. Xu Ruoxuan had just bid on a pen before joining them.

Wang Zixuan and Zhou Xun had quite a bit of conversation, naturally drawing everyone's suspicion.

The host, Wu Dawei, said knowingly, "So, pretending to be on the phone was just to surprise Zhou Xun!"

Xu Ruoxuan also asked curiously, "Did you really bid?"

Wang Zixuan smiled and shook his head, "No."

Chen Zuming on stage also explained, "It wasn't Mr. Wang Zixuan who bid; it was another friend of mine."

Many people were still skeptical about Chen Zuming's explanation.

Netizens clearly didn't believe it either. Although Wang Zixuan seemed to have spent money, more netizens were criticizing him for being a wasteful playboy chasing female stars.

A few fans who had been supporting Wang Zixuan posted "self-deceiving" posts, refuting that it wasn't Wang Zixuan who bid.

After the auction started, Wang Zixuan chatted with the people around him and didn't have time to go online, so he naturally didn't know that many people had turned from fans to detractors.

The final auction item, a fiber jade carving titled "The Nation," began.

While introducing the fiber jade and the artist, Bid No. 138 was raised early, with a bid of 1.38 million.

Huang Yi immediately raised his bid to 2 million.

However, it was quickly outbid by an entrepreneur for 2.2 million.

This price clearly exceeded most people's expectations, and for a moment, no one raised their bid.

The host repeatedly said on stage, "This is the last item."

He hoped to encourage more bidding.

Seeing that no one was bidding, Chen Zuming asked Wang Zixuan, "Do you want to bid?"

Wang Zixuan shook his head, "Not yet."

The entrepreneur, thinking no one would bid again, was about to raise a glass to celebrate with his friends when the actress Li Bing raised her bid to 2.28 million.

However, Hu Rongqiang, the chairman of the World Chinese Association, who was sitting opposite Wang Zixuan, immediately raised his bid to 3 million.

"3 million, this is the last item."

Under the host's encouragement, an entrepreneur raised his bid to 3.8 million.

Hu Rongqiang shook his head and then bid 3.88 million.

"Is anyone bidding 3.89 million?"

The price had clearly exceeded the actual value by a lot, and the host was just symbolically raising the bid.

"Li Bing, 3.89 million."

Celebrities often donated, but most were in the hundreds of thousands. Hearing Li Bing bid at such a high price, Wang Zixuan also looked at her curiously.

Before the applause had even died down, Hu Rongqiang immediately raised his bid to 3.98 million.

"3.98 million."

"3.98 million."

...

The host called several times, and Li Bing shook her head, indicating she was giving up. Although her income was not small, it couldn't compare to that of major entrepreneurs.

Seeing Hu Rongqiang's determined look, Wang Zixuan also felt unsure. He didn't have much money left in his card to bid again.

Hu Rongqiang, seemingly finding 3.98 million not grand enough, raised his bid to 3.99 million.

"3.99 million."

"3.99 million."

Seeing that no one was bidding after several calls, Chen Long shouted, "3.99 once."

Seeing the hammer about to fall, Chen Zuming quickly asked, "Do you want to bid?"

Wang Zixuan nodded, "Bid once."

Chen Zuming immediately raised his bid.

"3.99 twice."

Just as Chen Long shouted "twice," the host Ke Lan saw Chen Zuming raise his bid and shouted, "Bid No. 17."

Chen Zuming pointed to Wang Zixuan, indicating that he was the bidder.

Wang Zixuan smiled, raised his hand, and spread his fingers, saying, "5 million."

He only had 5 million in his card, and he wanted to make a strong bid to scare off others.

Otherwise, with back-and-forth bidding, someone might be like a frog in boiling water, unknowingly exceeding 5 million.

Ke Lan immediately shouted excitedly, "5 million."

Wu Dawei said, "When he acts, it's astonishing."

Everyone in the audience also looked at Wang Zixuan with surprise. In a situation with little competition, raising the bid by 1.01 million was quite generous.

Many female stars' gazes immediately became intense.

A true rich young master, with a prince-like image and generous spending, winning such a golden turtle would be the ultimate life goal.

Seeing Wang Zixuan's nonchalant look, Hu Rongqiang also smiled bitterly.

He knew about the playboy who had just lost 300 million, and bidding against such a playboy was too stressful.

Wang Zixuan, with a charming smile, waited a moment, seeing that Hu Rongqiang was not planning to bid again, and then smiled and bowed, saying, "Can you give a chance to the younger generation?"

Hu Rongqiang also didn't want to bid anymore. Seeing Wang Zixuan giving him a way out, he smiled and gave up, "Now it's your generation's time."

"5 million."

"5 million."

The host called several times, and seeing no one bidding, Chen Long called three times and then dropped the hammer.

"Please Mr. Wang come to the stage."

Wang Zixuan clenched his fist, bumped fists with Chen Zuming, stood up, and walked to the stage with a charming smile under everyone's gaze.

"Please welcome the award presenter, Carina Lau."

Carina Lau, wearing a blue sequined dress, stood up and walked to the stage gracefully.

As Wang Zixuan walked to the stage, the host Wu Dawei pretended to be afraid and moved to the side, saying, "I'm most afraid of Mr. Wang coming to the stage tonight. He's really too handsome. I'll stand far away to avoid being overshadowed."

Ke Lan, however, stepped forward and extended her hand, smiling, "I most want Mr. Wang to come to the stage tonight. He's really too handsome. Can I hug you?"

Wang Zixuan smiled and hugged Ke Lan.

Ke Lan, with a happy face, said, "At that moment, I felt like a princess."

Wu Dawei, jealous, said, "You should be the queen. Mr. Wang seems young, why are you interested in 'The Nation'?"

Wang Zixuan took the microphone from Ke Lan and smiled, "I just returned from studying in the United States. Living abroad has made me more appreciative of the word 'nation.' A strong nation makes us strong. As Chen Long's song says, without a strong nation, there can be no wealthy home. I'm glad to participate in the Basha Charity Night and hope to convey some positive energy to make our nation more harmonious. Thank you."

"Clap, clap."

Chen Long was the first to clap, saying, "Well said."

The host then asked Carina Lau to present Wang Zixuan with a crystal plaque. Chen Long asked Wang Zixuan to stand behind the "The Nation" carving, with Chen Long and Carina Lau on either side.

The three of them posed for the photographers, and the event concluded.

Chen Long held the plaque with both hands, about to move it to one side.

Wang Zixuan quickly lifted the plaque, smiling, "Let me do it."

Ke Lan praised, "A very gentlemanly prince."

Wu Dawei, who had moved the carving earlier, saw Wang Zixuan lift the heavy carving effortlessly and said, "Also very strong."

This comment made some of the female fans in the audience tighten their legs.

Many online appearance enthusiasts and beauty association netizens, who had turned from black to fans or from passersby to fans when Wang Zixuan bid, posted to counter the previous insults against Wang Zixuan.

Wang Zixuan's speech also won the favor of many netizens.

At the scene, Wang Zixuan placed the carving on one side of the stage, held the plaque, and walked down the stage with a smile under everyone's gaze.

After that, someone bid on Chen Long's coat and undershirt.

The host Wu Dawei also joked, asking if anyone wanted to bid on Ke Lan's dress, which made Wang Zixuan's blood boil.

Unfortunately, in front of the cameras, everyone was well-dressed, and he couldn't get a good look.

After revealing the top ten Basha Charity Stars, the charity night came to an end.

Chen Zuming invited the stars who were going to have a late-night snack to come over and asked where they wanted to go.

Chen Zuming asked, "Does Young Master Xuan have a place in mind?"

Wang Zixuan shook his head, "I have to go back soon. You decide."

Chen Kun, who had chatted with Wang Zixuan for hours and become quite familiar, smiled, "Have a late-night snack before you go?"

Several actresses who had come for Wang Zixuan were also sending electric glances, trying to seduce this prince.

Amitabha.

I am a vegetarian monk!

Wang Zixuan resisted the seduction of the actresses and smiled, "I'm really not available these days. Let's do it another time. I'll invite you."

Chen Zuming also felt that Wang Zixuan had done a great job by coming to support him tonight and said, "He really has something to do. We won't take him tonight."

After the banquet, Wang Zixuan and Chen Zuming and others went to the parking lot.

Everyone had drunk a lot of red wine, and Wang Zixuan said, "Do you need someone to drive? I brought four bodyguards. I can have two of them drive you."

Chen Zuming smiled, "No need, everyone is prepared."

"Okay, see you later."

"See you later."

Wang Zixuan called over two bodyguards, had them put the carving in the Mercedes-Benz, and had one bodyguard drive him.

Seeing Wang Zixuan drive a limited edition sports car worth over 10 million, with the bodyguards in Mercedes-Benz, the actresses were even more reluctant to let him go.

Wang Zixuan waved to Chen Zuming and the others, got into the cool sports car, and left.
