The script for "Unlucky Bear" was submitted to the Pujiang TV station, and it would only be finalized after the client's approval.

Initially, Zhang Tan thought it would take at least until tomorrow to get feedback, but unexpectedly, just before the end of the workday, the other party called, saying the script was good and they could proceed with it as it was.

With things going so smoothly, Zhang Tan immediately reported to Feng Dong, who then went to Yang Senlin's office and told him about it.

Yang Senlin was also surprised and said, "Zhang Tan is really a lucky charm. I thought we'd have to go through several rounds of revisions, but the TV station approved it on the first try."

"It did go smoothly. The script wasn't particularly difficult, but it had to be interesting and hit the right points, which was quite challenging."

Yang Senlin immediately called Wang Zhen at the TV station to update her on the project's progress. At the end of the call, he mentioned the script, saying that since it was finalized, the entire animation production would soon be launched, and he invited her to come and inspect the work when she had the time.

After hanging up happily, Yang Senlin said to Feng Dong, "Find an opportunity to chat with Zhang Tan. Young people with talent need more attention in their work and life."

Feng Dong replied, "Since he moved from the script evaluation group to our team, we've been focusing on him. Both Old Liu and Old Luo, who have worked with him, have praised him highly."

They chatted for a while, and then Feng Dong left. Yang Senlin suddenly called him back and asked, "Is Zhang Tan a party member?"

Feng Dong hesitated for a moment and said, "I don't think so."

"We need to maintain the vanguard nature of party members," Yang Senlin said.

Feng Dong immediately understood: "Got it."

Zhang Tan, such an excellent person, must be one of our party members!

That evening, Zhang Tan treated the scriptwriting team to a meal. After so many days of hard work, it was finally settled, and he wanted to thank everyone for their efforts.

In such a situation, not drinking would be impolite. In high spirits, they drank quite a bit. Xu Jian got drunk, and Zhang Tan was about seven or eight parts drunk. If it weren't for his good constitution, he would have been under the table long ago.

Originally, he planned to continue the party after dinner, but seeing everyone's state, he had to call it off.

"None of you drive. Call a designated driver," Zhang Tan said, waving to the designated drivers gathered at the restaurant entrance. Seven or eight people rushed over.

Jiang Rong drank the least, being a woman, and the others didn't dare to force her to drink, so she was the most sober. In Zhang Tan's incapacitated state, she helped everyone choose a designated driver and saw them off one by one. Finally, only Zhang Tan and she were left.

"You should go home," Zhang Tan said.

Jiang Rong replied, "Who could be at ease with you in this state? I'll take you home first."

She handed the car keys to the designated driver and helped Zhang Tan into the car, asking, "Where do you live, boss?"

Zhang Tan was still trying to get her to go home first, but Jiang Rong said, "I'm already in the car."

Her car also had a designated driver, who followed behind.

"West Chang'an Street," Zhang Tan said.

West Chang'an Street, that's a prime location. He can't be living in a basement, Jiang Rong thought, and told the driver to go.

It was already past nine in the evening, and the roads weren't congested. After about half an hour, the car was driving on West Chang'an Street. Jiang Rong asked Zhang Tan where exactly he lived.

Zhang Tan said, "Little Red Horse Academy in Huangjia Village."

Living in a city village, indeed. But, Little Red Horse Academy? What kind of place is this? Such a strange name, Jiang Rong thought.

The driver navigated, and the car drove directly to the entrance of Little Red Horse Academy.

Zhang Tan got out of the car, and Jiang Rong followed, curiously looking at the brightly lit academy in the night. She asked Zhang Tan in surprise, "Boss, you live here?"

This looks like a kindergarten, she thought.

Old Li came out, "Oh, you've been drinking?"

He could smell the strong alcohol as soon as he got close, and his eyes fell on Jiang Rong, a girl he hadn't seen before, who was quite beautiful.

In the past, Zhang Tan had many girlfriends, changing every few days, but since the summer, this was the first time he had brought a girl home.

Zhang Tan's speech was a bit slurred as he explained that it was a work gathering and he had drunk. Jiang Rong interrupted, "Don't talk anymore, I'll explain."

She explained the situation to Old Li.

Old Li understood. He wondered why Zhang Tan, who had been well-behaved for over a month, had drunk so much. Hearing it was a work gathering, he felt relieved, fearing that Zhang Tan's old habits would resurface.

"I'll take care of it."

Old Li supported Zhang Tan, and Jiang Rong followed.

In the brightly lit building, a child stood in the corridor, watching them.

It was Xiao Bai.

Old Li told her that Zhang Tan was drunk and was being taken to bed to sleep.

Jiang Rong curiously observed her, and the more she looked, the more she felt she had seen her somewhere before. When they reached the door, she finally remembered—wasn't this the child drawn in the notebook?

Jiang Rong curiously observed everything at Little Red Horse Academy. She had always been curious about Zhang Tan, but he always kept a distance, like a wall between them. They seemed to have a good relationship, but he never let her get close, never let her climb over the wall, never let her peek. Today, she finally broke through.

Old Li helped Zhang Tan into the bedroom and laid him down. Jiang Rong went to the water dispenser, poured half a cup of hot water, and half a cup of cold water, mixed them, and fed the warm water to Zhang Tan.

Her gaze suddenly fell on a figurine on the bedside table. It had three heads and six arms, with a fierce face, and another with a fiery figure. Hmm~~~ She didn't expect that the usually serious boss had such a hobby.

Xiao Bai followed, changed into small slippers at the door, and stood at the bedroom door, curiously asking, "Is the big man's hand hurt?"

Jiang Rong kept looking at her, not understanding the relationship between this little girl and Zhang Tan.

Old Li told Xiao Bai that Zhang Tan had drunk with friends and was now a bit drunk.

Xiao Bai immediately took a few steps back but, remembering that this was a good man, she felt reassured and moved forward, standing by the bed, looking at Zhang Tan. Seeing his drunken face and the strong smell of alcohol, she pinched her nose and said, "Hmm~~~ Silly man, so drunk."

Jiang Rong adjusted the air conditioning, covered Zhang Tan with a blanket, and left with Old Li.

"Xiao Bai, go back. Don't worry, Zhang Tan will be fine after a good sleep."

"O." Xiao Bai followed them, frequently looking back at the sleeping Zhang Tan. When they reached the door, she suddenly heard a rooster calling under the bed, "Dudu du~"

Initially worried that no one would take care of Zhang Tan, she now felt relieved. Xiao Bai thought that the rooster under the bed would surely take good care of the big man. Listening to the "dudu du" sound, he would sleep better. This was what her grandmother had told her: at night, when they slept, the rooster would protect the children in the dark.

Old Li closed the door, took Jiang Rong and Xiao Bai downstairs. The lights in the hallway flickered on and off, and it was dark and quiet. After a while, a small figure slipped up, and the motion-activated lights came on again, revealing Xiao Bai.

Xiao Bai held a fish-belly glass bottle, walked to Zhang Tan's door, pushed it, but it didn't open. She put her ear to the door, heard nothing, and lingered for a while, muttering to herself. She then walked to the stairs, sat on a step, and ate the candied fruit in the bottle.

After sitting for a while, she couldn't resist and ran downstairs to listen to the children's laughter. She muttered to herself, feeling reluctant, and then came back up, put her ear to the door again, and thought she heard the rooster but not Zhang Tan. She sat down at the door, continuing to eat the candied fruit, feeling a bit worried about the drunk Zhang Tan but reassured by the rooster inside.
