The Zhang brothers were regulars here, often bumping into acquaintances and exchanging greetings. Chu Jun followed the two of them, looking around curiously at the various physical cultivators.

"This is the mission board. You can take on a mission if you find one that suits you!" Zhang Biao introduced to Chu Jun.

Chu Jun picked up a bamboo tablet from the rack. A strip of paper was attached to it, which read: "Need three Level 2 physical cultivators, reward: sixty spirit beans!"

"Need one physical cultivator, strength not limited, diligent and responsible, to take care of the spirit fields for ten days, reward: five spirit beans!"

"Need ten physical cultivators to build a house, construction period one month, each person gets twenty spirit beans as reward!"

"Looking for a young female physical cultivator, the more beautiful the better, the bigger the chest the better, the more perky the buttocks the better...!"

Chu Jun flipped through a few bamboo tablets and realized that these missions were indeed diverse, and there were even public solicitations for prostitutes, and quite a few of them. Indeed, where there is demand, there is a market.

The noisy hall suddenly fell silent, and everyone's gaze turned to the entrance of the hall, filled with admiration. Sensing something unusual, Chu Jun looked up and couldn't help but be impressed, thinking to himself, "It's her!"

A group of people walked in from the entrance, two men and two women. Chu Jun recognized three of them. The most striking was Zhao Yu, dressed in light green palace attire, with misty, bright eyes, cherry lips, and a complexion as smooth as jade, making all the flowers pale in comparison. Compared to her, the beautifully painted Ning Yun in red attire seemed much less radiant. One of the two men was Lin Ping, while the other was dressed in white, handsome and extraordinary, with a proud and ostentatious demeanor, forming a stark contrast to the unassuming Lin Ping.

As the four walked through, people spontaneously made way for them, clearly recognizing them as core disciples of the Zhengtian Sect. Chu Jun lowered his head and turned away, but Zhao Yu, with her sharp eyes, walked straight toward him.

"Chu Jun!" Zhao Yu called out joyfully, a blush appearing on her charming face.

Chu Jun had no choice but to turn around and smile, "Senior Sister Zhao Yu, what a coincidence!"

"Are you feeling better?" Zhao Yu asked with concern, her misty eyes making Chu Jun's heart beat faster. He nodded awkwardly, "I'm all better!"

People around them were surprised, wondering, "Who is this guy? He actually knows Zhao Yu from the 'Ice Jade Duo' and seems quite familiar with her!"

"Junior Sister Zhao, do you know this physical cultivator?" The white-clad youth stared at Chu Jun with surprise and a hint of disdain, referring to him as "this physical cultivator."

Zhao Yu frowned slightly and introduced, "His name is Chu Jun, he is now an outer sect disciple of our sect!"

The white-clad youth responded with a "Oh," but the disdain in his eyes grew even stronger. He said lightly, "I'm Ruan Fang, you can call me Senior Brother Ruan!"

Chu Jun bowed and said, "Senior Brother Ruan!"

"I'm Ning Yun!" The red-clad girl Ning Yun glanced at Chu Jun with her big eyes. Since learning that Chu Jun had saved Zhao Yu, she had become curious about this physical cultivator she had "picked up" on the road.

Chu Jun replied respectfully, "Senior Sister Ning, Senior Brother Lin!"

Ruan Fang asked in surprise, "You all know this physical cultivator?" He never forgot to emphasize Chu Jun's status as a physical cultivator.

Lin Ping smiled slightly and said, "Of course, last time when Senior Sister Zhao was in danger, Chu Jun helped out!"

"He... he has the ability to help?" Ruan Fang pointed at Chu Jun, his eyes full of disbelief.

Chu Jun was displeased by his rudeness and felt a bit of anger. Zhao Yu, sensing Chu Jun's displeasure, quickly said, "Indeed, last time we relied on Chu Jun's help to escape the danger!"

Ruan Fang responded with a doubtful "Oh," and said, "That must have been a coincidence!"

Lin Ping laughed and said, "Senior Brother Yuan, don't underestimate Chu Jun. He even blinded a Level 2 Fire Ape King!"

Chu Jun glanced at Lin Ping and shook his head, "I was just lucky. With my strength, I can't even handle a Level 1 spirit beast, let alone injure a Level 2 Fire Ape King!"

Ruan Fang couldn't help but look at Chu Jun more favorably, nodding, "You have some self-awareness!"

"Self-awareness my sister!" Chu Jun thought to himself, wanting to punch this guy.

Zhao Yu quickly changed the subject, "Chu Jun, are you here to look for a mission? We happen to need five more physical cultivators. Are you interested?" She looked at Chu Jun with her beautiful eyes.

"What kind of work?" Chu Jun asked curiously.

"Finding a rare mineral to repair a magical treasure!" Zhao Yu said frankly.

Chu Jun shook his head, "I don't have time, but my two friends might be interested!" He pointed at the Zhang brothers.

A hint of disappointment flashed in Zhao Yu's eyes. She had thought Chu Jun would readily agree, but he had refused. This was the first time she had been rejected by a man, and her face showed a bit of awkwardness, her heart secretly annoyed. Ning Yun, on the other hand, felt secretly pleased, finding Chu Jun more handsome and appealing.

"Chu Jun!" Ruan Fang said sternly, "Don't be ungrateful...!"

"Senior Brother Ruan!" Zhao Yu frowned and interrupted Ruan Fang, smiling at Chu Jun, "If you don't have time, that's fine. I'll hire your two friends!"

"Thank you, Senior Sister Zhao!" Chu Jun bowed. Zhang Meng and Zhang Biao were overjoyed, knowing that these core disciples of the Zhengtian Sect would not give low rewards.

Watching Zhao Yu and the others leave with the five physical cultivators, Chu Jun left leisurely. It wasn't that Chu Jun didn't want to take on Zhao Yu's mission, but he didn't want to delay the planting of the spirit grains, and he also didn't want to have anything to do with Ruan Fang.

Chu Jun returned to his small house on Leiyin Mountain and headed straight to the spirit fields, placing the batch of spirit worms he had bought into the soil. These spirit worms helped loosen the soil and increase its fertility, aiding the growth of the spirit grains.

In the following days, Chu Jun practiced riding the gray-feathered crane during the day and cultivated the Lin Yue Technique at night, leading a rather fulfilling life. Three days later, he planted the spirit grain seeds in the fields and watered them, spending ten days to complete the task.

One morning, Chu Jun carried a pair of wooden buckets to water the spirit fields. Spirit grains need to be kept well-watered before they sprout, requiring watering twice a day, morning and evening. After they sprout, they only need to be watered once every ten days.

By the time Chu Jun had watered the ten acres of spirit fields, it was nearly noon, but he felt no fatigue, thanks to his nightly cultivation of the Lin Yue Technique. The Lin Yue Technique absorbed the essence of moonlight, continuously nourishing and improving Chu Jun's physical condition. Unconsciously, his strength and speed had reached the level of a Level 2 physical cultivator, allowing him to carry a full bucket of water and walk briskly.

Chu Jun put down the buckets and sat on the field ridge to rest. Suddenly, he noticed a few tender yellow sprouts that had quietly emerged from the soil. He scanned the area and found more sprouts, feeling a surge of joy, thinking, "They've finally sprouted!"

Bang!

Just as Chu Jun was rejoicing, he heard the sound of a bucket rolling over behind him. Turning around, he saw his bucket had been kicked over, and Zhu Chong, with a malicious look on his face, was sitting on another bucket, holding a blade of grass in his mouth.

Chu Jun frowned and bowed, "Senior Brother Zhu, what can I do for you?"

Zhu Chong chuckled, "Old Duan told you, right? This spirit field used to be mine!"

Indeed, he had come with ill intentions. Chu Jun nodded calmly, "That's true, but the Spirit Plant Hall has already assigned this field to me for cultivation!"

Zhu Chong laughed, "I've been cultivating this field for three years. Now you come and take it. Shouldn't you compensate me?"

Chu Jun suppressed his anger and said coolly, "How would you like to be compensated?"

Zhu Chong chuckled, "I heard you bought a mount, so you're not short of spirit beans. How about this: give me ten percent of the harvest from this field!"

Chu Jun coldly replied, "No way!"

Zhu Chong was taken aback, suddenly standing up with a fierce look in his eyes, "Say that again!"

Chu Jun said calmly, "I said no, are you deaf?"

Zhu Chong laughed in anger, clenched his fists, and the sound of his knuckles cracking echoed. He said with a sneer, "Newcomers are always so disrespectful. I'll teach you how to behave!" He then kicked Chu Jun's two wooden buckets to pieces.

Chu Jun's face darkened, and in a flash, he darted forward, delivering a swift kick. Zhu Chong, caught off guard, was kicked in the abdomen and flew backward, landing in a daze. Chu Jun stepped forward and stomped on Zhu Chong's chest. The battle ended in an instant.

Zhu Chong's face contorted in pain, and he was about to curse Chu Jun for being despicable, but the words died in his throat. Chu Jun's cold gaze sent a chill down his spine, a look of ruthless killing intent that only someone who had frequently taken lives could have. Zhu Chong's intuition was correct; Chu Jun's eyes, accustomed to hiding behind a sniper scope, indeed had the aura of someone who could decide life and death with a finger snap.

Chu Jun looked down at Zhu Chong and said coldly, "Don't mess with me again, get lost!" He then lifted his foot from Zhu Chong's chest.

Zhu Chong, in pain, struggled to his feet, casting a fearful glance at Chu Jun before walking away, turning back to shout, "Chu Jun, we'll see! I'll make your life a living hell!"

Chu Jun's eyes turned cold, and Zhu Chong ran off. Chu Jun looked at him with disdain, saying, "A Level 2 physical cultivator is nothing special!"

Several outer sect disciples who had witnessed Chu Jun kicking Zhu Chong spread the news quickly among the outer sect disciples. While they were happy, they also secretly mourned for this newcomer. Zhu Chong was a close friend of Niu Pang, and hitting Zhu Chong was like slapping Niu Pang in the face. Niu Pang, a Level 4 physical cultivator, could crush Chu Jun as easily as squashing an ant. More importantly, Niu Pang had already awakened his spirit root and was destined to become a core disciple, which would spell doom for Chu Jun.

Duan Li, upon hearing the news, rushed over to warn Chu Jun, urging him to apologize to Niu Pang, even if it meant getting beaten up and paying some spirit beans. Chu Jun, of course, refused, and Duan Li, shaking his head, left, not forgetting to ask Chu Jun for eleven spirit beans before he went.
