Chapter 4

The hall was filled with a thick, lewd atmosphere. The heavy breathing of the male wolf demons, the moans of the human women that were indistinguishable between pain and pleasure, and the strange smell of the wolf demons' bodies and bodily fluids mixed together, permeating every corner of the air, making one want to vomit.

On the floor, on the wooden chairs, and on the stone tea tables, a total of eleven wolf demons were entangled and moving with human women...

Hua Xiajiu did not feel any emotion at this lewd and dirty scene. He only knew that this was the easiest time to kill these enemies.

A faint mist began to seep from a corner of the hall, slowly spreading throughout. After a dozen breaths, the hall was enveloped in the mist, but visibility did not decrease much.

Due to the law that robots must not harm humans, Hua Xiajiu, as a combat police officer, was specially equipped with this potent hypnotic smoke, stored in a part of his body, to be released when needed. This way, he would not harm humans and could make them fall into a deep sleep without them realizing it.

When Hua Xiajiu left the hall, the throats of the eleven wolf demons had been cut, while the eleven human women were unharmed.

At the entrance of the Tang Family Manor.

"Captain! Do you think the Lord is overthinking it? In my opinion, even if we don't guard the town's entrances and exits, these lowly humans wouldn't dare to escape. Why don't we go back and continue drinking, and just send a wolf demon to tell the Black Wolf Squad to come back?" A young, muscular wolf demon shouted to a middle-aged, more robust wolf demon.

Slap—

The middle-aged wolf demon kicked out, and the young wolf demon fell, landing face-first in the dirt.

"Idiot! Do you want to kill me? Speaking ill of the Lord in front of me! If you do this again, I'll break your legs," the middle-aged wolf demon scolded, his voice filled with frustration.

The four other wolf demons nearby burst into laughter.

"Hyena! Stop pretending to be dead on the ground. We need to go on time to change shifts, or Black Wolf will complain to the Lord again," one of the wolf demons said impatiently when he saw Hyena lying on the ground for a long time.

"Exactly! Hurry up, don't get us all punished."

The other three wolf demons also urged him.

But Hyena remained motionless on the ground.

The middle-aged wolf demon finally lost his patience, stepped forward, and kicked Hyena's buttocks.

With a thud, Hyena's body was kicked half a meter to the side, and a pool of blood appeared.

The middle-aged wolf demon's expression changed, and he was about to say something when a faint muffled sound came from a distance. His heart raced, and his sensitive ears caught the sound of a small object moving at high speed, piercing the air. Before he could react, a blood flower bloomed at his throat, and his body fell backward with wide-open eyes.

From the moment the middle-aged wolf demon kicked Hyena to the moment he was shot and fell, it took less than two breaths. The four wolf demons behind him were still in shock when they saw their captain fall backward.

The four wolf demons were filled with disbelief and fear.

In the next moment, the four wolf demons howled and leaped to the sides.

Bang, bang, bang, bang—

Several muffled gunshots rang out. One wolf demon fell to the ground, motionless, while the other three narrowly escaped.

Roar, roar, roar!

After three howls, the three wolf demons suddenly sprang forward, transforming into three giant wolves, each over three meters long and nearly two meters tall, and charged toward a large tree in front of the gate.

Bang, bang, bang—

Hua Xiajiu fired continuously, but the three wolf demons, now on guard, dodged each shot. It was clear how fast and agile they were.

At this point, the three wolf demons had transformed into their original forms, significantly increasing their speed and agility. In just a few breaths, they had run to the base of the tree, about to leap up.

Whoosh—

A fist-sized, oval black object suddenly shot down from the tree, not aiming at the three wolf demons but smashing into the ground between them.

The three wolf demons, though unsure of what it was, their rich combat experience made them pause just as they were about to leap. The closest one swung a wolf claw at the object.

Bang! A blinding white light suddenly burst from the wolf demon's hand, instantly enveloping the three wolf demons.

A flashbang grenade, emitting a blinding light that could cause blindness if stared at for more than two seconds.

Stimulated by the white light, the three wolf demons screamed, instinctively closing their eyes and recoiling backward, landing steadily five meters behind them.

Bang, bang, bang—

As the three wolf demons landed, three muffled gunshots rang out from the tree. The blinding light gradually faded, and the three wolf demons opened their eyes, filled with fear. Blood flowed from their throats, and they collapsed in a pool of blood.

Hua Xiajiu jumped down from the tree, his electronic eyes scanning through the gate of the Tang Family Manor.

In the next moment, with a series of clicks, Hua Xiajiu's body shrank by about a third, and he lifted a wolf demon's corpse, hiding under it.

After a dozen breaths, two black shadows, one large and one small, rushed out of the Tang Family Manor, paused, and appeared beside the three wolf demon corpses.

One of them was a towering figure, like an iron tower, about a third larger than an ordinary wolf demon, wearing crude black armor and wielding a two-meter-long greatsword. His large, ferocious wolf head looked extremely menacing. He was the wolf demon commander responsible for guarding Tang Family Town, leading over thirty wolf demons.

The other was the opposite, about the size of an ordinary adult human. Unlike other wolf demons, who mostly had black or gray fur, this one had pure white fur and shorter forelimbs, about a third the length of a normal human's. He held a staff-like object in his right hand, his eyes darting around, filled with cunning.

This demon was the legendary bai, a strange symbiotic partner of the wolf demons.

The bai were a variant of the wolf clan. Compared to ordinary wolf demons, they lacked sharp fangs and claws, had a slender and weak build, and ran slower than a pig. If they left the wolf pack, they would starve to death or become prey for other wild animals.

However, everything exists for a reason. The bai had a unique innate ability. Although their physical combat strength was almost zero, they had a certain chance to awaken innate magic, giving them powerful ranged attack capabilities.

Additionally, their intelligence was generally higher than that of ordinary wolf demons, even rivaling humans. They often served as strategists for the wolf demons, though their advice was rarely adopted by the wolf demon king.

"Roar—Who! Who killed my subordinates? I will eat them alive!" The wolf demon commander howled, his voice filled with rage.

At that moment, a brilliant red beam shot out from under a wolf demon corpse, aiming for the commander's chest.

This red beam was a laser shot by Hua Xiajiu.

In a flash, the commander's right arm, whether intentionally or coincidentally, raised to block the red beam, moving so fast it left afterimages.

Sss—

The commander's right arm, like tofu, was easily pierced by the laser, leaving a hole the size of a thumb. The laser, undiminished, struck his chest, the tens of thousands of degrees of heat and terrifying penetration power instantly breaking through the thick armor and tough fur, destroying the wolf demon's heart.

A pungent smell of burnt fur and cooked wolf meat mixed together, slowly spreading in a plume of smoke.

The commander looked at the hole in his chest, through which he could see his charred heart, with disbelief, shock, and despair.

In that split second, he had relied on his strong combat instincts and innate reflexes to block the laser with his arm, but he never imagined that his powerful body and hard-earned steel armor would fail to stop the attack.

"Roar—"

A mournful howl erupted from the commander's mouth, and he instantly transformed into a three-meter-tall, five-meter-long black giant wolf, charging at Hua Xiajiu, who was just leaping up.

Hua Xiajiu's electronic brain had no precedent for an animal surviving with a shattered heart, so he was caught off guard, knocked to the ground by the commander's claw, and the wolf demon's massive mouth, the size of a table, bit down on Hua Xiajiu's head.

With a series of crunches, Hua Xiajiu's titanium alloy helmet was slightly flattened by the wolf demon's powerful bite, and two places were even pierced. The sharpness of the wolf's teeth was evident.

Hua Xiajiu's electronic brain suffered a strong shock, causing the system to momentarily malfunction, losing its ability to think.

If the wolf demon commander bit a few more times, Hua Xiajiu's titanium alloy helmet would lose its protective ability, and a heavy blow to the head would destroy the electronic brain, killing Hua Xiajiu.

Suddenly, the commander's massive body trembled, and he collapsed to the ground, motionless, his breath gone.

With the shock gone, Hua Xiajiu's electronic brain resumed normal operation. Hua Xiajiu struggled to pry open the wolf demon's foul-smelling mouth with his arms and pulled out his dented helmet.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—

Before Hua Xiajiu's electronic brain fully recovered, a green light flashed, and several wind blades appeared in front of him, shooting at him at lightning speed.

Clang, clang, clang—

Sparks flew. At such close range, Hua Xiajiu couldn't dodge, and several wind blades cut into him from head to toe, adding more dents to his machine police armor, including his helmet.

Bang, bang!

Two gunshots rang out, and the bai's head exploded, red and white matter splattering as he fell to the ground.

Hua Xiajiu glanced at the massive wolf corpse, confirming that the commander was truly dead. His electronic brain's high-speed system finally calmed down.
