008. Kate’s First Test!

"Your first test starts now! I relocated your desk along with the desks of all the other sergeants to the cabin in front of mine. From here, I can watch you 24/7. To pass the first test, you must not leave your desk even for a second until evening, starting right now. And one more thing, leave your mobile with me." Kate says to Tom.

"What!? That's it! Haha! You scared me there for a second! It's just a piece of cake to me! Alright, I accept your challenge and I swear that I'll make you accept my friendship!" Tom challenges Kate and leaves her office.

Tom walks into the opposite cabin and settles down at his desk which is facing the captain's office.

An hour passes and Tom starts getting the urge to use the bathroom. Only then he finally understands the difficulty of the test that he can't go to the bathroom until evening and it's still noon.

Time passes.

In the evening, Messy comes to Tom's place directly from Piper and Baker in her scooter.

Sometime passes and Mary makes a friendly visit to Tom's place.

"Hey, Mary!" Jack opens the door and greets, eating potato chips.

"Mary? Call her aunty, Jack!" his mom scolds her to respect the guest.

"Charlotte! Kids these days are friendly and moreover hearing him say my name feels good! It's alright!" Mary supports Jack.

When the three are chatting in the kitchen, Messy walks over there and grabs some of the potato chips from the packet Jack's holding in his hand, saying, "hey, mom. Hey, aunty." without even looking at them, busy with her mobile, repeatedly trying to call someone.

"If you ask me, I'll say adopt her if you want but let her live here already! She spends more time here than at our home as it is!" Mary jokes with Charlotte.

"Adoption? Then Tom and Messy will be brother and sister!" Jack taunts Messy and she gets back at him by suddenly moving her leg as if to strike his balls with her knee, startling him.

"What happened, Messy?" Charlotte asks.

"Tom happened, aunty!" Messy replies tensely, calling Tom again and again.

"I try calling him many times and messaging him twice as many times but there is absolutely no reply. It's not like him. I thought he would be here. That's why I came directly from Piper and Baker to here instead of going to the precinct. Now he's done it. I'm going back to the precinct." Messy says to them.

"There's absolutely no need to worry about him. He probably would be flirting with some hot chick as we speak." Mary says to Messy.

"Mom!?" Messy shouts at her, being annoyed.

"You just keep holding back and someone else will steal him from you right in front of your eyes! Then it will be too late for you to make him yours!" Mary scolds Messy.

"Right now, I'm worried more about how his confrontation with the new captain went." Messy says sitting on the sofa.

"Then you're saying that once this is over, you will propose to him?" Mary asks wickedly.

"Why, you Mary!?" Messy throws an angry look at her mom.

"What?! You got something to say? Well, I do!" Mary bursts out, saying, " you're always seen with him roaming the entire city, day and night! People say very awful things about you two! You know that?"

"What do people say about us!?" Messy asks angrily.

"That a boy and a girl cannot be friends!" Jack butts in while Charlotte and Mary chuckles.

"Shut the hell up, you jackass! I didn't ask about your thoughts!" Messy shouts at Jack, grabbing his ear and twisting it.

"For what it's worth, I don't say he is Mr. Perfect. He has always been full of himself with a bit of an attitude problem. He is quite stupid too. Despite all that, he is a good man deep inside, and also has quite the swag." Charlotte says to Messy about Tom. "If you say yes, I can be rest assured."

"Auntie, please. Tom and I are just friends. I just don't see him that way!" Messy says awkwardly.

Back at the precinct at the same time,

Tom is going through hell putting his soul into holding his pee under control.

"Shit! I can't hold it any longer! I just can't! But it's almost evening! I can do this! I have to! Fuck you, you psychotic bitch! Just you see, I'll make you pay for this tenfold!" Tom curses Kate in his mind.

Sometime passes and Tom ends up holding both his pee and poop inside and when he is about to give up the challenge and stands, Kate walks to him and says, "you pass the first test! Congrats!"

As soon as Tom hears those words, he rushes out of the cabin and makes a run for the bathroom.

On reaching the bathroom, he sees it's door locked.

"What the fuck! Why is there a lock on the bathroom door!?" Tom yells out loud before he rushes back to Kate.

"Wh… Why is the bathroom door locked!?" Tom asks dancing, holding his bathroom tightly.

"Oh, that! There will be no bathroom breaks in my precinct. That's why I get those locked." Kate answers Tom with a cruel smile on her face.

"What!?" Tom shouts at her before he rushes out of the precinct and leaves to his home in his jeep.

Tom drives his jeep like crazy and reaches his home in five when usually it takes half an hour.

He can't wait for the lift and takes the stairs in that do or die situation of his and reaches his house door at last.

He barges in through the door and heads straight for the bathroom.

"What the heck, Tom? How many times do I have to call you? Where the hell were you all this time?" Messy shoots Tom with questions.

"Pee! I have to pee! Out of my way!" Tom ignores her and gets into the bathroom in his room.

While Tom is taking a leak, Messy, Jack, Mary and Charlotte gather in his room.
