(Congratulations to 'especially confused poi' for becoming the master of this book! I also greatly appreciate the many friends who rewarded the book today!)
(This is the second update. There will be an additional update in the evening. I hope all the friends will continue to support it!)
The 'Fairy Tail' guild has a total of three floors.
The first floor is where the guild members usually gather, either to take on missions posted on the bulletin board and go to work, or to participate in various guild activities, chat, and socialize. It is quite similar to a regular tavern, and most guilds have a similar setup.
The second floor is a vacant space, not much different in layout from a regular building. However, there is a bulletin board similar to the one on the first floor, but the missions posted there are much more difficult. Only powerful guild mages recognized by the guild master can enter.
As for the third floor, it was originally used to store important items of the guild. After Noah moved into the 'Fairy Tail' guild, one of the rooms on the third floor was cleaned up for him to live in.
In other words, if it weren't for Noah, the third floor of the 'Fairy Tail' guild would be the least visited place. Even now, people only go up there occasionally when they need to see Noah. The one who goes up most often is Gray, but he doesn't stay long.
The two of them went down the stairs from the third floor, and when they passed the second floor, they curiously glanced inside, but all they saw was an empty floor.
Now, in the entire 'Fairy Tail' guild, only a few, one or two people, have been recognized by the guild master to enter the second floor and take on missions. It's not easy to see anyone on this floor.
"Hey, Noah..." Gray, perhaps driven by curiosity, said eagerly.
"I heard from the guild members that the missions on the second floor bulletin board are only for super~~~ powerful mages. We pass by here every day, shouldn't we..."
"Don't even think about it!" Noah, who had already guessed what Gray might say from his expression, cut him off without hesitation.
"When I moved into the third floor of the guild, Grandpa warned me with a very scary face that I must never enter the second floor, or he would kick me out of the guild!"
"Kick you out of the guild?!" Even the bold Gray was startled.
"It's just going in to take a look, is the punishment really that severe?"
"I don't know," Noah shook his head.
"But Grandpa usually dotes on me. He only ever got that angry when he warned me not to learn magic until I could freely control my magic power. So, we shouldn't go in."
"Che..." Gray pouted, but the eagerness on his face clearly disappeared.
"Even if we can't go in now, I will go in eventually!"
"As long as we get Grandpa's recognition, we can go to the second floor!" Noah nodded firmly.
"Eventually, I will go in too!"
A mage who is still in the process of learning and is not yet mature, and a complete novice who can't even cast a single spell, made a determination that even excellent mages wouldn't easily make.
It's hard to say whether it's the fearlessness of a newborn calf or the rash words of a child.
But the two of them, with determined expressions, smiled at each other, stopped paying attention to the second floor, and chatted casually as they walked down to the first floor.
"Whoa———!"
When Noah and Gray arrived at the first floor, a loud noise immediately reached their ears.
At this time, it was just after dawn, but many of the 'Fairy Tail' mages had already gathered in the guild. Some were sitting at wooden tables, drinking and boasting, while others were heading to the bulletin board to take on missions and go to work.
As the grandson of the 'Fairy Tail' guild master and having lived in the guild for a year, the people in the guild were already very familiar with Noah. When they saw him come down from upstairs, they all greeted him.
"Good morning, Noah!"
"Finally awake?"
"Today you're a bit later than usual!"
"Did you wet the bed?"
"Ha ha ha!"
Faced with the teasing from his guildmates, Noah responded with a helpless expression, but he actually enjoyed the lively and friendly atmosphere. Otherwise, he wouldn't have chosen to live in the guild.
However, Noah's ability to handle the guild members doesn't mean Gray can.
"Hey! You guys! Can't you see me?!" Gray jumped out, veins popping on his forehead as he pointed at everyone in the guild.
"I'm here too, why do you always only greet Noah?!"
At this, the guild members burst into laughter.
"Before that, Gray, you should put on some clothes first!"
"Wha?!" Gray then realized he was only wearing a pair of shorts.
Seeing this, Noah couldn't help but laugh.
Although they are playmates of the same age, for a child who is only eleven or twelve years old, being able to use magic at this age is quite impressive. However, Gray has a habit that makes people chuckle—exhibitionism.
As a result, Gray often ends up running around naked without realizing it!
This is why Noah was so calm when he saw Gray come to call him in this state.
While the guild members were teasing Gray, their eyes involuntarily turned to a wooden table in the corner of the guild.
There, a young girl about the same age as Noah and Gray sat.
She was a girl who stood out from the lively atmosphere of the guild.
The girl had bright red hair, and her face, though still very young, was very delicate and cute.
However, this girl, who was very cute in every way, was wearing a cold, mismatched suit of armor, and one of her eyes was covered by a medical eye patch. She sat alone, not speaking to anyone, as if deliberately isolating herself from the world around her, quietly eating.
The girl's name is Erza Scarlet.
Noah didn't know much about this girl named Erza, only that she joined 'Fairy Tail' after he did.
However, since joining 'Fairy Tail', Erza has always been in this state, not speaking to anyone or interacting with anyone. She only had a few conversations with the guild master, Makarov, and never spoke to anyone else.
She is a girl with a story.
This was Noah's first impression of Erza, and it remains his only impression to this day.
Seeing her sitting alone, eating, completely disconnected from the lively scene in the guild, Noah hesitated for a moment, then walked towards the bar where the guild provides alcohol and food.
"Hmm?" As Erza, who was quietly eating, suddenly saw a hand appear in her field of vision, placing a plate of cheesecake in front of her and then disappearing.
Erza frowned slightly, looked up, and saw a figure about her size, but seemingly very broad, walking towards the guild's entrance and then straight out of the guild, disappearing from her sight.
Erza stared at the guild's entrance, then looked at the cheesecake in front of her, a bit lost, and fell silent. After a while, she picked up the fork in her hand, cut off a small piece, and put it in her mouth.
After a long time, a voice that only Erza could hear came from her mouth.
"So sweet..."
