The next day...

Warm sunlight poured from the horizon, driving away the cold that lingered in the forest, finally bringing a touch of summer's heat to the sky.

"Ugh..."

The young boy with a tattoo on his face woke up from his sleep, slowly opening his eyes.

"Ah..."

As soon as he opened his eyes, the tattooed youth heard a very cute, yet very young and small exclamation.

"Big Brother Noah, that person has woken up!"

Who?

The tattooed youth suddenly opened his eyes, which were not yet fully awake, and sat up like a spring, his face full of caution as he looked around.

The tattooed youth found himself in a cave, the location of which he did not know.

The cave was not very large, smaller than an ordinary room, and the tattooed youth could clearly see the intense sunlight outside and the cave walls that immediately came into view.

He himself was lying on a platform that protruded from the back wall of the cave.

At the entrance of the cave, the tattooed youth saw two people.

One was a boy of about eleven or twelve years old, with short, black, well-groomed hair, eyes as deep as stars, and a strip of cloth that seemed to contain some kind of weapon hanging over one shoulder, exuding an extraordinary aura.

The other was a blue-haired little girl, about seven or eight years old, who was hiding behind the boy, peeking out from his side with a look of confusion, curiosity, and a hint of timidity.

At that moment, the boy was sitting on the ground at the cave entrance, leaning against the wall, one hand reaching out to stroke the head of the blue-haired little girl hiding by his side, while turning his head to look at the tattooed youth, a faint smile on his face.

"Awake?"

The tattooed youth did not respond immediately, but the caution in his eyes diminished somewhat. After a moment of silence, he spoke softly.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Noah Dorea from 'Fairy Tail.' You can just call me Noah!" Noah introduced himself briefly, then patted the head of the blue-haired little girl beside him.

"She's Wendy!"

"Y-You... hello..." Wendy said shyly, then said nothing more.

"'Fairy Tail'..." The tattooed youth's eyes flickered, he lowered his head, hesitated for a moment, and then introduced himself.

"My name is... Jellal. Did you save me?"

"It wasn't me who saved you." Noah shrugged, still patting Wendy's head.

"It was Wendy. She used healing magic to help you recover. To be honest, I was a bit surprised myself."

That was the truth.

After all, Natsu's 'Dragon Slayer Magic' was incredibly powerful. Even though Natsu's young age meant he hadn't fully unleashed its true power, it was still strong enough to surpass most mages.

However, 'Dragon Slayer Magic' was designed to combat dragons, so its power was not surprising.

What Noah didn't expect was that Wendy's 'Dragon Slayer Magic' didn't have the same destructive power as Natsu's. Instead, it had the ability to assist and heal.

According to Wendy, this was because she wasn't good at fighting. As a result, she had mastered the supportive aspects of 'Sky Dragon Slayer Magic' more quickly, while the combat aspects were still beyond her, unlike Natsu, who was very destructive.

In other words, compared to Natsu's purely combat-oriented 'Fire Dragon Slayer Magic,' Wendy's 'Sky Dragon Slayer Magic' could be used not only in battle but also to enhance various effects and heal injuries, making it a rare, all-around magic.

If Wendy were a bit older, the young man named Jellal might not have been unconscious all night and could have woken up after her treatment last night.

Of course, without Wendy's treatment, Jellal might not have woken up at all.

Hearing Noah's explanation, Jellal looked at Wendy with some surprise, causing her to feel embarrassed and bury her face in Noah's chest, too shy to look up.

Seeing this, the little caution Jellal had left disappeared, and he sincerely thanked Wendy.

"Thank you for saving me."

"I... I just helped a little." Wendy said shyly in a soft voice.

"It was Big Brother Noah who carried you here. You should thank Big Brother Noah."

"No need for thanks." Noah shook his head and looked directly at Jellal.

"But if you could tell me why the sky had such a strange change last night, I would be very grateful."

"You..." Jellal's eyes narrowed.

"You saw it?"

"I was in the forest. It's impossible not to have seen such a change in the sky." Noah said with a smile.

"And you don't seem like someone who doesn't know what happened. So, can you tell me what it was?"

"That was..." Jellal's face darkened, and his voice became heavy.

"That was the ultra-dimensional magic—'Anima'!"

"'Anima'?" Wendy tilted her head, a question mark appearing on her forehead.

"Ultra-dimensional magic?" Noah frowned.

"What's going on here?"

Jellal's head lowered even more, and his eyes showed signs of struggle.

"Sorry, I can't explain the details to you. Please don't ask anymore."

Noah's frown deepened. Looking at Jellal's evasive gaze and conflicted expression, he eventually relaxed his frown and said:

"I just said, I'm a mage from 'Fairy Tail.' I came here because of a request from a nearby village. They said there was a ghost in this forest that would cry and cause the sky to shatter with a curse. I'm here to solve this bizarre incident!"

Jellal and Wendy were both stunned.

However, Jellal seemed to realize something from Noah's evasive explanation and finally smiled.

"You don't need to worry about that. 'Anima' has indeed been triggered several times here, but I've stopped it. Last night's should be the last time. 'Anima' won't be activated here again. As for the crying ghost, I don't know about that."

"I've already dealt with the crying ghost." Noah glanced at Wendy, who looked confused, and said with a mix of amusement and exasperation.

"It was indeed a crying ghost, and quite cute too."

Now, Noah understood the whole situation.

If he was not mistaken, the crying ghost the village chief mentioned was just Wendy's crying while she was looking for Grandeeney in the forest.

As for the ghost's crying causing the sky to be cursed and shatter, it was purely due to the ultra-dimensional magic 'Anima.'

In other words, Wendy's crying and the activation of 'Anima' coincided, causing the villagers hunting in the forest to panic and believe that a ghost was crying and cursing the sky.

Everything was just a coincidence and a misunderstanding.

This made Noah both amused and deeply reflective.

Indeed, ghosts don't exist.

"Hmm?" Wendy, who was unaware, was almost covered in question marks.

Jellal, on the other hand, seemed to understand and smiled helplessly.

"Since the truth is out, there won't be any more crying ghosts or 'Anima.' My mission is complete, and I won't ask any more questions." Noah stood up and skillfully took Wendy's hand, which she had hurriedly extended.

"I'm going back to the village now. Do you want to come with us?"

Jellal looked at Noah gratefully, nodded, and stood up.

The three of them walked out of the cave and headed towards the forest's edge.
