Once they got back to the apartment, Tokimori told him he was forbidden to come near him, and if he took even one step

closer than that, he would never forgive him for as long as he lived, so

Yato didn’t come any closer than he was. Yato making sure to listen to what he said made his chest stir as he turned

his gaze toward Yato’s knees, he then began to mumble.

“That

was you, wasn’t it?”

“Huh?”

“The large demon

that would cling to my window and make me cry. The first time you

came wasn’t when I was five, was it? I don’t know for how long, but

you would always watch me in that form, wouldn’t you?”

The

standing Yato crouched down, then sat crossed legged, so Tokimori

could see him even with his head lowered.

“Yeah. It had

been at least ten years since I heard a demon master had been

born, so I went to take a look. You and your mother had just been

released from the hospital, so you were sleeping in a

pure white blanket. You were so cute. Your grandfather and everyone

else were talking about this and that, but you were sleeping. When I

called your name though, you woke up. You heard my voice. When our

eyes met, I couldn’t take them away from you. Ever since then, all

I’ve thought about is you, Tokimori.”

“Ever since

then……”

Tokimori muttered, dumbfounded.
