Chen Mo let out a terrified "ah" as he stood at the classroom door, his arms spread wide, his limbs seeming not to belong to him, difficult to control, suspended in the air. He suddenly felt a scorching heat, his eyeballs feeling as if they were about to burst, his pupils dilating sharply. His thoughts were completely out of his control, the heat directly flooding into his brain.
He felt a gentle warmth as the heat enveloped his brain. Suddenly, the blue heat gathered at the top of his head, forming a point of energy. After all the heat was absorbed, it exploded like a bomb, scattering in all directions.
Blue light points, like snowflakes, slowly drifted into his consciousness, gradually forming images. As the heat stabilized, Chen Mo's dilated eyes slowly returned to normal, and he closed them, beginning to perceive the flickering images.
The blurry, rippling images trembled slightly, revealing an ancient and simple courtyard. A middle-aged man was sitting cross-legged with his eyes closed under a strange tree, surrounded by a suffocating aura. A woman smiled, gently stroking a young boy who was reading, while pink plum blossoms occasionally fell, creating a scene like a fairyland.
Suddenly, a whistling wind came from the distance. Focusing his gaze, he saw a red fireball hurtling from the sky, trailing black smoke like a tail, leaving a gray trail across the clear sky. The fireball, as if already locked onto its target, approached the courtyard but, upon reaching it, suddenly changed direction and crashed heavily into a red pavilion in the distance. Flames immediately burst forth, and thick smoke quickly spread.
In an instant, the scene changed. The earth transformed dramatically, with ruins everywhere, flames shooting up to the sky, and a dark, gray sky with thick clouds where dark red lightning occasionally flashed, unable to pierce through the clouds.
In the darkness, frenzied beasts, seemingly countless, dragged their massive, heavily armored bodies, baring their fangs as they descended from the sky, occasionally raising their heads to roar, their footsteps shaking the earth, advancing step by step.
The beasts varied in kind and size, some as large as small mountains, with small mouths and large bodies, covered in dense scales. With a single breath, they could spew out scorching black fireballs, streaking across the sky filled with dark clouds...
The black fireballs hurtled toward a grand city, its white walls towering into the clouds, adorned with intricate and profound patterns.
The city walls, occasionally glowing with transparent barriers, deflected the destructive fireballs, creating ripples of energy.
On the city walls, a man in golden armor, with a green jade sword at his waist, looked into the distance, his fingers trembling slightly as he gripped the hilt, quickly drawing the sword. The sword's cry split the sky, emitting a sharp whistle.
Below the city walls, tens of thousands of brave warriors, mounted on various creatures, charged forward at the command. But their bravery was short-lived; without a fight, their formation scattered, and they were swallowed by the beasts' attacks, disappearing without a trace.
In the distance, terrified faces, like tormented spirits, wielded weapons but could not match the beasts' massive bodies. Helpless crowds, trampled by the enraged beasts, left behind mangled corpses, a scene of human slaughter.
The man swung his sword again, the sword's cry like lightning connecting to the earth, its sound shaking the heavens. At the command, over a hundred large drums on the city walls were struck simultaneously. The drummers, bare-chested and as tall as oxen, with red ribbons wrapped around their arms and veins bulging, struck the drums with thick drumsticks, creating a sound like a thousand horses galloping, the sound waves forming ripples that rushed toward the beasts.
The beasts, affected by this, seemed startled. Then, a massive, naked beast rose behind the city walls, as if emerging from underground, with several houses on its shoulders. A slight shake caused the houses to collapse. It roared to the sky, its red and green eyes blazing with anger.
With one step, it crossed the city walls, and with another, it was in front of the beasts. It lowered its head and roared again, the sound like a thunderclap. With a swing of its arms, the surrounding beasts, like chickens, fell into chaos, many dying and retreating.
Suddenly, two large, dark hands appeared in the thick clouds, their joints bent, their nails covered in moss, looking heavy and cumbersome. One of the hands, with a slight movement of its little finger, caused a section of the city wall to collapse, the drummers disappearing, and the drumming ceasing.
The two hands changed direction, charging straight at the beast that had disrupted the beasts' formation. In comparison, the hands easily controlled the beast, each gripping one shoulder, tearing it apart with a final roar. The beast, which had been in the lead, was now torn in half, one half thrown into the center of the beasts to be trampled, the other half thrown into the city to terrify the people.
In an instant, everything changed, as if a long time had passed. The beasts occupied the city, corpses piled high, the scene in ruins, with screams and roars mixed together, a scene of horror everywhere. In a pile of rubble, a man, no longer as imposing as before, sat quietly, his legs crossed, his hands clasped in front of his abdomen, his body floating in the air.
A white glow surrounded him, golden points moving from his body's meridians to his forehead, slowly forming a spindle-shaped point, which then detached from his body and landed on the shell of a black turtle, disappearing shortly after.
Suddenly, a burst of white light came from the distance, accompanied by a rolling sound, like a planet exploding...
Chen Mo, suspended in the air, felt as if he were experiencing the impact, his body suddenly leaning back, performing a backflip in the air, and then kneeling on one knee after hitting a rock and bouncing back.
A gentle breeze blew, lifting the black strands covering his forehead. Chen Mo closed his eyes, immersed in the images. Blue light leaked through his eyelashes, his brows furrowed, as if experiencing great pain.
He slowly opened his eyes, his pupils showing a blue hue, gradually returning to normal. After what seemed like a long ordeal, Chen Mo, feeling drained, took a deep breath and straightened his back.
"Was that the battle where the Light God Race fell?" he murmured, as if to himself, yet also as if asking a question.
"I believe you now understand the beginning and the end. You carry the seed of light, the hope of our god race," the black turtle said solemnly.
As he finished speaking, the black turtle turned its head and roared at the waist of a mountain. A white point of light flew from its mouth, a spindle-shaped object glowing with a white light, surrounded by waves of heat, slowly moving to the side of the mountain. The mountain rocks, affected by this, reversed, and the rubble, like entering a vortex, spun and broke open, forming a cave.
