Chapter 37 of 100

Chapter 37

Although I said I would prepare for the day after tomorrow, it’s just a matter of buying the potion ingredients and making them.

The enemy we will face is a Blade Lizard, which is on par with a Golem.

When I faced the Golem, I hardly used the Blue Potions I made. According to Mew, the recovery potions currently in use are the highly effective Blue Potions and High Potions.

Given Mew’s level, recovery potions probably won’t be necessary for a Blade Lizard, and having a large quantity doesn’t guarantee absolute safety or a significant increase in the success rate of the strategy. However, I want to eliminate as many sources of anxiety as possible. To be honest, it seems that nothing good happens when Mew is motivated.

So, knowing that it might be excessive, I made about a hundred Blue Potions.

If I give them this, it will provide some reassurance, and Mew and the other party members, whom I haven’t met yet, can use them on other occasions as well.

Oh, my alchemy sense level has gone up.

When using alchemy or synthesis skills to create items, the success rate is high if you activate it for each item, but the experience points are low. Conversely, if you make a large quantity at once, some of them will fail, but the experience points gained are high.

Recently, I’ve gotten used to it, and for something like a Blue Potion, I can make as many as I want with one skill use. Since there are no failures, the loss of ingredients is minimal.

"Hmm. Just giving Blue Potions doesn’t look impressive or interesting. I should give something a bit more interesting."

If possible, I’d like to give something that can promote my shop.

I’ll look through my inventory to see if there’s anything suitable.

If I think about practicality, a set of potions like High Potions and MP Potions would have a big impact. It would feel like a gift.

"But that’s too domestic... How about an enchanted ring... No, that’s impossible. I can’t just give such things to anyone."

For convenience, I named the accessory with an added skill an "Enchanted Ring." I think it’s a bit too straightforward.

By the way, skills can also be added to materials. If I don’t have anything to give, I could try making something. I’ll do a little experiment.

"Okay, I found one. The keyword for this should be [Enchant]. [Skill Addition]—Attack Addition."

I tried adding an attack boost to a plain stone.

The material, which received the red light of the addition, remained intact in my hand without breaking.

"Let’s call it an Enchanted Stone. The activation key is [Enchant]."

The Enchanted Stone in my hand, sensing my thoughts and the keyword, released the skill it contained and turned into sand, completing its task.

"Wow, it’s not just about muttering the keyword; you need the will to activate it. There are many things that need to be verified."

I thought about the difference between a regular stone and an Enchanted Stone.

"Regular stones and Enchanted Stones look the same, and regular stones are quite large when you just hold them."

It’s a chunky stone, about the size of a fist. Some stones are hard to hold.

"Just giving it as it is would be too crude. I should do something. Right, I have a skill that’s perfect for processing materials."

I selected the [Polishing] skill from my skill list and activated it on a new stone I took out.

The chunky stone became smooth and easy to hold.

"This is it. This size is easy to grip. But the color is the same. Enchants have different colors depending on the type, so I’ll try dyeing it to match."

Red for attack boost, blue for defense, yellow for speed boost, orange for magic attack, and green for magic defense, all glowing.

I polished and dyed the stones to match the type and applied the corresponding enchant.

"Hey, there are items like this in games. Items that temporarily boost stats."

Well, in this game, the higher-level alchemy potions made from monster meat and various potions are of that type, as Taku mentioned before.

"Also, the level of the addition skill has gone up without me noticing... Does this mean that attack magic and other skills also level up when used? If I can infuse attack magic, wouldn’t that be amazing? Books with magic or items that can use a spell once."

Such items must exist. They can activate without using MP and cut out the long incantation.

Firing a hundred spells like a Gatling gun. That’s pure romance.

Once I started thinking about it, I couldn’t resist trying it out.

On hold:

[Bow Lv18][Taming Lv1][Speed Boost Lv11][Discovery Lv8]

Since it’s not a combat situation, I removed the Bow and obtained the Earth Attribute Talent. I chose Earth because none of my acquaintances have this attribute, which is slightly unpopular. It’s not that unpopular, but other attributes are prioritized for their appearance and other factors.

Just because I took a magic attribute doesn’t mean I’ll become a magic user. I’d need to take the staff and magic book sense as well. Instead, I’ll focus on producing Earth magic items.

"Earth magic. Initially, there’s only this one."

The only [Skill] in Earth magic is [Bomb]. I tried it out, and it produced a yellowish glow and explosion. Honestly, fire or light explosions are more vivid.

"It’s plain, but it’s not the weakest among the six magic attributes, right? Can I enchant a stone?"

I tried it with a stone, but it broke. It broke even after multiple additions.

This means the stone’s material rank is insufficient. I tried adding to an iron ingot, but it didn’t work. If an iron ingot doesn’t work, the only suitable material left is a gemstone.

I tried adding to small gemstones, but it didn’t work. Medium synthetic gemstones collapsed due to insufficient strength. The only one left is a medium-sized peridot.

"Small sizes are too difficult. If the next size doesn’t work, I’ll give up and go to bed. Setting the keyword to [Bomb]. [Skill Addition]—Bomb."

The peridot in my hand glowed yellow and remained intact.

"Hmm. It seems that attribute magic requires materials of a very high rank. At the very least, medium-sized gems..."

It’s still uncertain, but sealing high-level magic is likely difficult or impossible.

Considering game balance, being able to activate powerful magic with a keyword without preparation would be a cheat. To avoid this, the material rank required to infuse attack magic is set high.

"Hahaha... Seriously? I think it’s reasonable, though."

There’s one more thing: my MP gauge. Infusing the weakest magic consumed about 30% of my MP. Normally, casting it would use less than 10%...

The low MP consumption for making Enchanted Stones is likely due to the low rank of the enchantment magic and the fact that it’s a derivative of the addition skill.

If I were to infuse a higher-level attack magic, the required MP would be significant, and if it’s not enough, it would result in a failure. Therefore, infusing higher-level magic is difficult.

"The material, my own MP capacity, and my mastery of magic are the key factors."

If I were to name it like the Enchanted Stone, I’d call it a Magic Gem.

"I can’t make a large number of Magic Gems. I’ll just think of them as a trump card or a precious item for myself."

I sat down to recover my MP and started infusing the Bomb magic into the remaining medium-sized gems.

By the time I made about twenty, the Earth attribute level had gone up by two.

It took a lot of time, and I thought about taking the magic power recovery sense, but it was too late for such experimental work.

I’ll sleep and discuss it with Magi and the others when I receive the armor tomorrow.

I apologize for the multiple revisions and for wavering due to various opinions. I understand that it may seem different upon rereading. I apologize.
