After changing clothes, I requested an audience with Sir Cyril.

I had thought that I might not be able to see him until the magic show on the lake was over, but the response came immediately—rather, he came in person. I hurriedly prepared to welcome him.

The sunlight streaming in through the large window gently illuminated the guest room.

Sitting across from Sir Cyril at the low table, Claudia prepared tea and cookies for us. Enjoying the refreshing aroma of the tea and the sweet scent of the cookies, I took a bite of a cookie to show that it wasn't poisoned and offered it to Sir Cyril.

"Sir Cyril, thank you for coming all this way. I would have visited you if I had received a reply."

"No, I wanted to see you as soon as possible."

He smiled, saying something meaningful with a casual air. Sir Cyril's good looks were overwhelming. I could feel his concern for my condition, and my heart warmed a little.

"I'm sorry for worrying you. Thanks to you, I'm recovering."

At my words, Sir Cyril blinked and then smiled gently.

"That's good to hear."

I thanked him and took a sip of tea to catch my breath.

As I exhaled, the steam rising from the cup wavered. I directed my gaze towards Sir Cyril, who was sitting on the other side of the steam. His pale blue eyes were as calm and beautiful as a clear lake.

"Thank you again for saving me."

"No, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you beforehand."

Is he a saint?

With his good looks and excellent personality, he's almost too perfect. No wonder he's a target in a dating game.

From the looks of it, he doesn't seem to dislike me as he did in the original game. All I need to do is help him and the heroine get along... but wait, I feel like I'm forgetting something.

Ah, that's right. How could I have forgotten?

Tomorrow, during the magic show on the lake, there will be an attack targeting Sir Cyril. He will be injured, and the show will be canceled.

According to the original story, Sir Cyril won't be seriously hurt. However, that was just good luck. I can't be sure that the real Sir Cyril will have the same good fortune.

Moreover, there's another issue.

The cancellation of the magic show itself is a problem.

The show is organized by the royal family, and the security is the responsibility of the knight's order led by Sir Alster. They will be punished for failing to prevent the incident, which will lead to the weakening of the knight's order in the future.

While this is how the original story unfolds, I'd like to change this outcome if possible.

Additionally, there's the matter of Alster's daughter, Iris, who is the heroine's friend.

She was born into a family of knights but dreams of becoming a magician. Her father told her that if she performs well at the magic show, she can specialize in magic. However, the show she qualified for will be canceled for the reasons mentioned earlier.

I understand the frustration of not being able to pursue what you want due to your circumstances. Therefore, I want to protect Sir Cyril and help Iris achieve her dream.

"Sir Cyril, you're participating in tomorrow's magic show, right? Would you like to watch it with me?"

"Me and Sophia?"

Sir Cyril blinked.

Did he misunderstand and think I was inviting him on a date? I added, "Of course, it's fine if you come with others."

Sir Cyril smiled and said, "No, it's fine just the two of us."

Gah... He's really handsome. Even though he's only fourteen, he's already so cool. His looks are just too perfect.

But if I leave things as they are, this smile will fade. No matter what, I have to protect Sir Cyril from getting hurt tomorrow.

With this resolve in my heart, I enjoyed the tea party with Sir Cyril.
