Chapter 50

"What's going on? Did I see that wrong?" Many teachers rubbed their eyes in disbelief, but reality left no room for doubt.

At that moment, Wang Junqi was seen charging straight toward Dong Fangxiuzhe.

What was she thinking?

Although she was a melee mage, didn't she know that maintaining distance was advantageous in the current situation?

Many people were puzzled, even her mentor Liu Hong looked surprised. However, she didn't dare to stop her, as it would distract Wang Junqi.

Dong Fangxiuzhe, seeing his opponent charge at him, had many questions in his mind, but the one that dominated was what trick she was going to pull next.

To be honest, this duel had greatly inspired Dong Fangxiuzhe. He really wanted to see more different types of magic, perhaps it would be useful for his research on the Yin-Yang Five Elements technique!

Although Wang Junqi was a girl, her speed was not slow. It was clear that she had trained hard in physical fitness. In just a few bounds, she had rushed to Dong Fangxiuzhe.

Along with her, the floating earth balls also rushed over.

"This time, I won't let you run away!" Wang Junqi's face rarely showed such a serious expression, as if she was preparing for a last stand.

At first, Dong Fangxiuzhe didn't understand her intentions, but soon he figured it out.

The floating earth balls began to rotate around Wang Junqi, the speed increasing until a whirlwind formed on the ground, trapping both of them inside.

From a distance, it looked like a prison cage about two zhang in diameter and over five meters high.

The whirlwind grew stronger, the powerful suction drawing in sand and soil from the surroundings, making the cage even more unbreakable.

"Teacher Liu Hong, what kind of magic is Qiqi using?" Headmaster Meng Laikai had somehow arrived next to Liu Hong.

Shaking her head lightly, Liu Hong didn't know either.

Wang Junqi's performance today far exceeded her expectations. Many of the magic techniques she used were ones Liu Hong had never seen before.

"Using 'earth' to generate 'wind,' both opposing and complementary, not bad, really not bad!"

Looking around at the murky walls, Dong Fangxiuzhe's eyes sparkled.

He was increasingly finding this magic similar to the Yin-Yang Five Elements technique!

A look of confusion flashed across Wang Junqi's face; she didn't understand what he was saying. She had used this move on a whim, purely because her opponent was too agile and she was forced to.

"Teacher Liu Hong said that taking risks can sometimes be a good strategy," Wang Junqi's eyes flickered as she spoke, gathering her magic power.

Dong Fangxiuzhe turned to look at her and asked, "You have great potential, I like you. Are you willing to serve me?"

Here, in the eye of the storm, the wind blocked out any sound, so there was no need to worry about anyone outside hearing.

Ignoring him, Wang Junqi said calmly, "This time, let's see where you run."

Smirking, Dong Fangxiuzhe looked at the budding senior in front of him and shrugged, "You're trapped in here too."

"You're wrong!" Wang Junqi laughed wryly. Her magic power was finally gathered. As she spoke, her arm shot up, and the earth and sand prison suddenly shrank.

"What are you doing?" Dong Fangxiuzhe was startled, realizing he couldn't remain passive any longer.

He pushed off the ground, leaped into the air, and charged straight at his opponent.

Unfortunately, Wang Junqi's speed wasn't slow either!

"Bang!"

A sudden burst of sand blocked Dong Fangxiuzhe's kick.

He landed on his toes, used his waist to twist his upper body, and followed with a spinning kick.

"Bang!"

A small clump of sand acted like a living shield, successfully blocking Dong Fangxiuzhe's attack again.

Dong Fangxiuzhe didn't stop his attacks. He circled around Wang Junqi, launching a series of rapid attacks.

Straight punches, elbow strikes, side kicks... he used every combination!

The sounds of impact were continuous, but none of them hit anything but sand.

"Your defense is really solid, no wonder you dared to charge straight in!" Dong Fangxiuzhe was about to change his tactics.

At that moment, Wang Junqi, who had been responding calmly, suddenly began to chant a spell:

"Power hidden in the earth, obey my command, accept my request, the power that belongs to you..."

She was a melee mage, so why was she suddenly chanting a spell?

Usually, melee mages can cast spells with just their will, but sometimes they need to use incantations for spells they haven't fully mastered.

"What is she doing?"

Suddenly feeling a magical fluctuation under his feet, Dong Fangxiuzhe was startled. He even wondered if this little girl was planning to go down with him.

As the spell was completed, the whirlwind disappeared, but Dong Fangxiuzhe and Wang Junqi were tightly enveloped by the suddenly gathered sand.

It was like a giant carnivorous flower closing in!

Although enveloped by sand, there was still some space inside. Because of his Yin-Yang Eye, the darkness had no effect on Dong Fangxiuzhe.

He could clearly see the changes in Wang Junqi's expression.

"Alright, I have to admit you've surprised me!"

Dong Fangxiuzhe was very close to Wang Junqi, and he could clearly smell the scent of a young girl emanating from her.

Wang Junqi didn't speak; she was busy casting another spell.

With a strange sound, to Dong Fangxiuzhe's surprise, Wang Junqi suddenly disappeared into the ground.

"Can't be, does she even know 'Earth Escape'?"

Dong Fangxiuzhe stared at the spot where Wang Junqi had disappeared.

Although Wang Junqi's magic wasn't the 'Earth Escape' from the Yin-Yang Five Elements technique, it had a similar effect, allowing her to move through the sand for a distance.

"Looks like I was too careless!" He smiled bitterly.

Meanwhile, Wang Junqi, who had emerged from the ground, extended her arm, palm facing forward, and cast another spell— "Earth Vine Bind"!

Her fingers clenched, and the Earth Vine Bind spell was activated.

She believed that Dong Fangxiuzhe, trapped in the sand, would have no way to avoid it this time, as the confined space would leave him no place to hide!

"Finally, it's over!"

Feeling the earth vines firmly bind the opponent, Wang Junqi let out a sigh of relief.

This battle had consumed a lot of her magic power. If she hadn't trained hard, she might not have been able to hold out until now.

Turning to leave, Wang Junqi had no interest in the cheers from the audience.

She just wanted to find a quiet place to digest the feelings this battle had brought her, sensing that her understanding of magic had improved.

But just as she took three steps!

A loud "Boom!" came from behind, startling her.

The sound was like a building collapsing!

Turning sharply, Wang Junqi froze in shock...
