Chapter 55

Meng Laike hurriedly rushed to the scene of the incident, but he saw no one. On the ground, only the pigeon, which was gradually regaining its vitality, was busily preening its feathers.

"What on earth happened?" Meng Laike's mind was full of questions.

The letter tied to the pigeon's leg was still there, so Meng Laike took the pigeon back to his office.

"If only you could speak!"

Looking at the pigeon, which was now completely fine, Meng Laike's mind was still on what he had seen.

Was this really the work of that little troublemaker?

A three-star幻兽 (phantom beast), and also the most skilled at dodging, a homing pigeon; a child barely three years old, who had only recently mastered water magic.

"If it wasn't him, who could it be?"

Sitting back in his chair, he unrolled the letter. As he read it, his brows furrowed.

The note simply read: "Delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, will arrive in one month!"

"Without even explaining what happened, they want me to wait another month. 'Mystic Magic Academy' really knows how to put on airs." Meng Laike slapped the note on the table. "If you annoy me, I'll send Wang Junqi to another magic academy and see who ends up losing out."

Meng Laike was once a somewhat famous person, and he had many acquaintances in various magic academies.

......

Speaking of Dongfang Xiuzhe, who had returned to his dormitory, he sat alone on the bed, continuing to ponder the connection between magic and the Yin-Yang and Five Elements techniques.

The magic he had just cast using hand seals did not achieve the effect he had expected. In the end, he had to use the "Water Technique" of entanglement to successfully subdue the large white bird.

Although Meng Laike's appearance interrupted his research, it was not without its benefits. He discovered that casting magic with hand seals not only increased the speed of release but also reduced the consumption of mental energy.

The activation of magic involves using mental energy to resonate with the elements.

Using hand seals adds an additional resonator, like upgrading a computer's processor from single-core to dual-core, naturally increasing its speed and efficiency.

"Let me test using mental energy to cast 'Water Technique' and see what happens."

Said and done!

With the successful use of a "Water Technique," Dongfang Xiuzhe clearly felt its power had decreased significantly, but its flexibility had increased!

The result of this trade-off was far from what Dongfang Xiuzhe wanted. He couldn't understand why the two couldn't be well integrated.

Once again, the image of the white bird flying in the sky, its wings creating a current of air that caused the wind to rise and the trees to sway, came to mind.

His thoughts, as if growing wings, flew freely, and finally, a flash of inspiration appeared.

"Great Way returns to one!"

"Why didn't I think of it before? If I can merge mental energy with spiritual energy, wouldn't that solve the problem at its root!"

After repeated attempts, Dongfang Xiuzhe finally found the key. Simultaneously using mental energy and spiritual energy could slowly merge them into a new form of energy.

This fusion was initially slow, but gradually became easier, as if the two energies were meant to be together.

What surprised Dongfang Xiuzhe even more was that the new energy, after merging, flowed into the Baihui point and moved along a strange path in the brain's meridians, finally settling in the center of the forehead.

"Could this... be the cultivation method for the Upper Dantian?"

According to ancient texts, during the most glorious period of the Yin-Yang and Five Elements techniques, their power could move mountains and overturn seas, and the Yin-Yang masters of that time cultivated the Upper Dantian.

However, after several battles with demons, the cultivation methods for the Upper Dantian gradually became lost, and even those that were passed down were incomplete.

Many powerful techniques in the Yin-Yang and Five Elements required the Upper Dantian to be activated, which led to the decline of Yin-Yang masters. In later times, they had to work together to compensate for the lack of power.

When Dongfang Xiuzhe became the head of the "Yin-Yang and Five Elements Family," he had also studied the cultivation methods of the Upper Dantian to change the declining fate of Yin-Yang masters. Despite reading a large number of ancient texts, he never knew how to guide the energy through the meridians, and several risky attempts nearly led to him going astray.

He never expected that today, he would accidentally discover the meridian path for the Upper Dantian. With this important discovery, cultivating the Upper Dantian would no longer be a difficult task.

This is truly an example of "accidental success"!

As long as he successfully cultivates the "Upper Dantian," Dongfang Xiuzhe's strength will not just double or triple.

"Learning magic has truly brought me surprises!"

His eyes sparkled with excitement as he memorized the energy flow path, sat cross-legged, and guided the new energy to flow more quickly to the Upper Dantian.

When Dongfang Xiuzhe opened his eyes, more than an hour had passed.

Through inner vision, he discovered a gaseous object at the location of the Upper Dantian, which was the new energy formed by the combination of mental and spiritual energy. Although it looked pitifully small, as the saying goes, "accumulated earth forms a mountain, accumulated water forms a sea"!

Moreover, once the meridians around the Upper Dantian were expanded, he could directly inject the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, which would increase his cultivation speed by a hundred times!

If he could form a golden core in the future, Dongfang Xiuzhe could restore the glory of the Yin-Yang masters!

"Let me test the effect of this new energy now!"

Dongfang Xiuzhe had not forgotten the purpose of his research.

As his hands continuously formed seals, the water elements around him began to rapidly gather. The originally calm surface of the artificial lake outside the window began to ripple and became increasingly turbulent, like boiling water.

With a "whoosh" sound.

Nine water columns burst out of the water, transforming into the shapes of dragons, spiraling and dancing, flying through the window to Dongfang Xiuzhe's side.

At the same time, the water elements in front of Dongfang Xiuzhe had formed a rapidly spinning water ball.

"Nine Dragons Playing with a Pearl!"

The water dragons circled the water ball, roaring and leaping, displaying their might.

This was a technique that could both attack and defend. Dongfang Xiuzhe did not want to destroy his dormitory by testing its power. Just by sensing the energy fluctuations, he knew that this technique combined the agility of magic with the power of the Water Technique.

His efforts had not been in vain; he had finally merged the two!

However, the consumption of this technique was quite high, and the energy he had gathered in an hour was completely drained.

Seeing the entire room occupied by the nine water dragons, Dongfang Xiuzhe knew he had to dispel the magic before anyone noticed, or it would be hard to explain.

However, the more he feared something, the more likely it was to happen!
