Prologue

…Recently, Onii-chan has been actinga bit weird. He’s… above the clouds, you could say? I feel likehe’s been spacing out way more often than usual.

“Onii-chan, what’s wrong?”

“…Eh? N-No, it’s nothing!”

When I called out to him, he returnedto his senses and continued eating his food. Currently, we’reeating dinner, but these kinds of exchanges tend to happen a lot asof late.

It’s like he’s looking far off intothe distance… and when our eyes meet, he suddenly averts his gaze,too! Though it’s very embarrassing when you stare at me, thatreaction makes it almost look like you’re avoiding me! Justthinking that makes me want to cry, so please don’t do that!

…N-No, this isn’t the time to becomplaining. Instead, I should be figuring out the reason for hisbehaviour. That being said, I can’t think of anything…

I thought that he might be havingproblems with his own novel, but he’s never acted like this before.It’s almost like it’s because of that incident that happened atthe back of the school. Though it was a misunderstanding, he hadclearly told me that he didn’t want me to get a boyfriend. Thatreally made me happy! Hehehehe! Ah, I shouldn’t be acting happyright now! Maybe he finally became conscious of me—No, when Icalmly think about it, that doesn’t sound very plausible.

O-Of course I’d be the happiestperson in the world if that were the case, but that’s just wishfulthinking. Rather than dwelling in these possibilities, I should thinkabout how I can make him become conscious of me.

…With that in mind, I have to preparefor a harsh fight during this coming summer of my new high schoolstudent life! Y-You’d better prepare yourself, Onii-chan! We’llembark on our journey towards adulthood very soon!
