Chapter 1058: Warm Tang (Part 1)!

"The minister sees your majesty! See the queen empress!"

In the Ganlu Hall, Li Zexuan saw that Li Er and Empress Changsun came out from

the back of the hall together, he quickly narrowed his gaze and bowed to the

two of them.

"Yeah! Free!"

Li Er waved his hand, and then couldn't wait to get straight to the topic: "I

heard that you are here to present the treasure, but why didn't you see the

baby?"

Although Li Zexuan is young, he is a very small traitor, and it is usually

difficult to take advantage of him. Now he has taken the initiative to "bring

it to the door". Li Er really wants to know what surprise Li Zexuan has sent!

Li Zexuan said solemnly with a look on his face: "Your Majesty, the things

sent by the minister today are a bit big, and they are still outside the

palace. Please let your Majesty, your minister, let them be carried up!"

"Oh~? Come on! Zhao Song, let people bring in the things that Yonganhou

brought in!"

Li Er heard this and immediately said.

A bit big? He now wants to know what Li Zexuan brought!

Zhao Song led the way. After a while, he brought in a coal stove and a basket

of briquettes with four eunuchs.

Seeing that the eunuchs brought up an iron knot and a basket of dark things,

Li Er couldn't help frowning, because these two things didn't look tall at

all!

With a slight upset in his heart, Li Er walked down from above, looked at Li

Zexuan with a bad look, and asked, "This is the baby you want to dedicate to

me~? Huh? What a special charcoal stove!"

Li Er said halfway, only to find that the stove was still burning, and he

couldn't help but let out a shock.

Li Zexuan arched his hands and said, "Your Majesty, this is not a charcoal

stove. This is a coal stove. Coal is burned in it!"

"Coal~? How could the coal fire be so strong~?"

Li Er is not the kind of imperial emperor who doesn't know anything about the

world, he frowned and didn't believe it.

At this time, the grandson also walked down from above. She took a close look

at the briquettes in the bamboo baskets, and said after a moment: "Your

Majesty, the briquettes brought by Yonganhou are so special! Every briquettes

are the same size. Many small holes of the same size were opened, and my

concubine guessed that it was precisely because of this that the coal fire in

the furnace was so strong!"

Li Eryi was taken aback, then turned his head to look at the bamboo basket, he

asked while watching: "Li Zexuan, what the queen said, what happened~?"

Li Zexuan folded his hands and smiled and said: "Back to your Majesty, the

queen's eyes are like torches. Indeed, as the mother said, the reason why the

briquettes are so easy to ignite is because of their special structure!

Because the briquettes are spherical like honeycombs, they are in charge of

them. The briquettes are called briquettes! The treasure that the minister

gave to your majesty today is this coal stove and briquettes~!"

Li Er sank his heart at this time. He nodded and said: "It is indeed a

treasure to be able to make useless coals into this flammable briquettes! In

this way, the court may consider mining several coal mines next year. Happy~!

Just how did you make the briquettes~?"

Seeing briquettes, Li Er felt like he saw a pile of golden mountains. Datang

has discovered many coal mines in the Hedong Road area, but because the raw

coal is difficult to burn, the mining value is not great. But it's different

now!

Li Zexuan said helplessly: "Your Majesty! This briquette is made by the

minister crushing the coal, supplemented by the binding material, and then

molded by the mold! The minister presented these two things to his majesty

today. One is to show his majesty the briquette and coal stove The combined

advantage is that I want to discuss one thing with your majesty!"

"Advantage~? What advantage? Does this briquettes burn better than charcoal~?"

Li Er asked.

Li Zexuan told his mother and grandmother at home yesterday about the

advantages of using briquettes to boil water for cooking, and said it again.

Before Li Er had time to speak, the grandson couldn't help but exclaimed:

"Four briquettes can boil water and cook rice all day under a full fire? Are

you serious in Yonganhou?"

Li Zexuan smiled and nodded and said: "It is true! And it is impossible for

ordinary people to boil water and cook rice all day, so the actual consumption

of briquettes must be less than this!"

"Haha! Good thing! This is really a good thing! Li Zexuan, I ask you, how much

is this briquette and coal stove cost?"

When Li Er heard it, he couldn't help feeling that briquettes were more

convenient than coal. He laughed and asked.

Li Zexuan replied: "The cost of a briquette is less than a penny! As for a

coal stove, it is about one hundred and fifty penny! But a coal stove can be

used for at least five years!"

Li Er nodded and said, "Yes! Not bad! Cheap and practical! The people will

definitely like it! This is really a treasure to benefit the country and the

people! Haha! I like it!"

Empress Changsun looked worried, and said: "Your Majesty, briquettes are

cheap, but not everyone can afford this coal stove! If you want to fully

promote coal stoves and briquettes, I am afraid there are still many

difficulties! "

Li Er's face suddenly sank again. Obviously he also agreed with what Empress

Longsun said~www.mtlnovel.com~Li Zexuan bowed and said: "The empress empress

is absolutely true! This is also the second reason why the minister came to

look for her majesty today. !"

Li Er's eyes sank and said: "You say it!"

"Your Majesty, it has only been more than ten years since Datang is stable.

The price of charcoal in the eastern and western cities has remained high.

Burning charcoal is tantamount to the common people! But the weather is cold

in winter, except for boiling water and cooking. Most people still need a fire

to keep warm! As the capital of Datang, Chang'an has many poor people freezing

to death every year, let alone other remote areas. There will definitely be

more people freezing to death!

But now that there are cheaper and more burn-resistant briquettes, the price

of charcoal will definitely continue to drop! There will be more and more

people who can afford coal! But for ordinary people, the price of coal stoves

is indeed too high, but without coal stoves, the role of briquettes is

extremely limited! And now in the big winter, many poor people are still in

the cold!

Therefore, briquettes and coal stoves must be promoted to the people together!

Moreover, in order to help the people spend the winter, the ministers can sell

briquettes and coal stoves to the poor people directly at the cost without

making any money! But the power of the minister is limited after all.

Therefore, the minister has a small request, and I hope his majesty will allow

it! "

Li Zexuan said sincerely.

When Li Er heard this, he was silent for a moment, and he said: "It's hard for

you to have this heart. I really didn't misunderstand you! In fact, since the

beginning of winter, I have been thinking about how to avoid freezing and

killing some people, but there is only one city in Chang'an. There are tens of

thousands or even hundreds of thousands of impoverished and frozen people. The

money from the treasury cannot be used now. If you have a way, you can say it

quickly! As long as the request is not excessive, I will allow it!"
