Chapter 1793: Vol 2 Chapter 1677:

"I heard that Yanhuang Academy will release test results tomorrow, and I don't

know how many people will be admitted this time!"

"Hmm! The Yanhuang Academy enrolled more than 600 students last year, so I

think it should be a lot more this time?"

"There are only six hundred people? But this year there are nearly 10,000

people taking the entrance examination, which is several times more than last

year!"

"But don't forget that this year, Yanhuang Academy has two colleges, the

School of Engineering and the School of Medicine, which are jointly enrolling

students. Maybe the total enrollment number will be several times higher than

last year!"

"So don't I have a chance this year~?"

"Oh! I'm miserable! The last two big questions of the math test were not

finished, and the two one-dimensional quadratic equation questions were also

miscalculated! I am afraid that it is hopeless to enter Yanhuang Academy this

time!"

"Oh! I didn't answer a few questions in the medical school theoretical

examination, especially the question of "Empirical evidence in Taiyin,

Yangming Qi points, Taiyin spleen collaterals, and blood points". I haven't

thought about it until now understand!"

Today, two days have passed since the end of Yanhuang Academy’s enrollment

examination. According to the rules, the Academy will release the list on the

third day after the examination and announce the candidates’ results. At this

juncture, the candidates who had just "indulged" for two days after the test

had no idea of "spending time and drinking, eating, drinking and having fun"

at this time. People with good relationships gathered in groups. Together, we

are discussing what might happen to the list tomorrow!

Such a grand occasion is no less than the imperial examination in the Song and

Ming era!

Of course, this does not mean that the influence of the admission examination

of Yanhuang Academy has surpassed that of the imperial examination. In fact,

in comparison, the imperial examination is obviously more attractive to

scholars. There is no doubt about this. There are probably two reasons for the

imperial examination phenomenon:

First, the entrance examination threshold of Yanhuang Academy is much lower

than that of the imperial examination. From the establishment of the imperial

examination by Emperor Yang of Sui to the second year of Zhenguan, only a few

decades have passed. The imperial examination system is not as perfect as the

Song and Ming Dynasties. If you want to participate in the imperial

examination, you must be recommended by local celebrities, families, or

officials. This alone will shut out most of the poor and unfamiliar children

who have no way of doing things and are not well-known, and you don’t need

anything to take the entrance examination of Yanhuang Academy. Threshold, as

long as you have confidence in your own strength, you can sign up, and all you

need to pay is to go to Lantian County;

Second, the enrollment of Yanhuang Academy is much more than the number of

scholars in the imperial examination. Datang’s annual imperial examination

selects only a few hundred or so scholars, and Yanhuang Academy has more than

600 students in its first class. There will definitely be more people in the

second term, which indirectly stimulates everyone's enthusiasm to apply for

Yanhuang Academy!

But in addition, there is a more important point, that is, through the joint

efforts of all the teachers and students of the academy, the achievements

created by the Yanhuang Academy over the past year have changed the vast

majority of the world’s impression of Yanhuang Academy and engineering. The

people's voice for engineering is getting louder and louder. Although it is

not enough to compete with the "big and deep-rooted" Confucianism, at least

there are fewer and fewer opponents of engineering!

It can be said that although Yanhuang Academy’s enrollment examination is not

as attractive as the imperial examination, the prestige of Yanhuang Academy

today has definitely surpassed that of the first official university of the

Tang Dynasty-Guozijian!
