The sound of cracking continued, and any thick branches that obstructed the short spear were pierced through. A hunter shouted, "Get out of the way!"
No one was foolish enough to block the short spear; instead, they tried their best to dodge. Finally, the spear's momentum was exhausted, and with a thud, it pierced through a massive tree branch, the tip gleaming. A hunter stood on the branch, his face pale as he looked at the spear tip protruding from his crotch. He could feel the sweat rolling down his face, almost driven mad by fear.
The two barbarians let out a strange cry and began to climb up the giant tree. Leixingfeng shouted, "Block them! Kill them!" His position was too high, so he shouted while quickly descending and took out his black bow to prepare for an attack.
The hunters shot arrows and threw short spears, attacking from above.
The two barbarians instantly turned into hedgehogs. They never expected so many hunters to be on the giant tree. The two barbarians let out a strange cry and jumped down from the tree.
The hunters, seeing the two agile barbarians, felt a chill run down their spines. It was a joke; if someone was pierced by so many arrows and short spears, they would be dead, yet these barbarians were still running and jumping.
Bang!
The sound of metal clashing suddenly rang out. Many of the hunters present recognized it as the sound of Leixingfeng's black bow, which was unique. Ordinary hunters' bows couldn't produce such a sound.
Bang!
Two consecutive sounds, and the two barbarians who had retreated from the giant tree immediately fell. No matter how strong their defense or recovery, a single arrow through the head was fatal. Leixingfeng instantly killed two of them.
The hunters cheered. As long as they could quickly shoot and kill the barbarians, they wouldn't have to fear. Fighting the barbarians, whether at a distance or close range, was a nightmare for the hunters. At a distance, the barbarians, though without bows, could throw their steel spears, and a single hit meant certain death. In close combat, the barbarians, with their thick skin and immense strength, could crush their opponents with sheer force.
Leixingfeng didn't dare to stop. He shouted, "Prepare arrows! The best ones!"
The hunters immediately began to collect the best arrows each had saved, which were used for shooting large animals.
Leixingfeng brought thirty finely crafted arrows, but they were far from enough to attack the barbarians. Even if he hit every shot, the kill rate wouldn't be 100%, especially with nearly forty barbarians below.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Leixingfeng ran around the giant tree in a spiral, descending while continuously attacking the barbarians trying to climb up.
Each time the bowstring sounded, a barbarian fell. Leixingfeng's attacks were extremely lethal, targeting the head and the shoulder above the heart. Once hit, the barbarians were sure to die. In just a few dozen seconds, seven barbarians had fallen.
The hunters from Hucliff Fort, however, had not killed a single barbarian. Despite the rain of arrows and flying short spears, they couldn't deliver a fatal blow.
A barbarian with eagle feathers on his head suddenly let out a long cry. Instantly, a dozen barbarians roared in unison, each swinging their arms and throwing thick steel spears upward.
Leixingfeng shouted and dodged frantically. Fortunately, he was a skilled Thousand Wheel Master, and his strength was enough to barely avoid the barrage. However, the other hunters weren't so lucky. Three hunters were pierced by steel spears and fell from the tree.
These thrown steel spears were truly deadly; a hit meant injury, and a strike meant death, extremely vicious.
Leixingfeng gritted his teeth and continued to shoot with his black bow. Among the hunters of Hucliff Fort, only he could kill the barbarians. The others, even with the advantage of height, could only wound the barbarians, not kill them.
Bang! Bang...
Leixingfeng no longer aimed for a one-shot kill; any hit on the barbarians was enough. The barbarians began to dodge, and the continuous casualties frightened even them.
In just a few minutes, at least fifteen to sixteen barbarians on the ground had fallen, and more than ten were dead.
The barbarians were also human and feared death. When they suddenly realized that nearly half of their group was dead or injured, they were terrified, and their leader was furious.
Leixingfeng continued to shoot arrows. The sound of the bowstring was the sound of death for the barbarians. Each time it sounded, a barbarian would fall, either dead or severely wounded.
The barbarian leader let out a roar and, wielding a massive axe, charged towards the giant tree.
Leixingfeng shot an arrow.
The leader suddenly raised his massive axe, which was large enough to shield his entire body.
Clang! Thud!
The arrow exploded into countless fragments, scattering in all directions.
The barbarian leader was forced to take a step back by the arrow, showing the immense power of the shot. However, the arrow didn't injure him, and he continued to climb the tree.
A few hunters from Hucliff Fort tried to block him but were cut down by the leader, who chopped through the branches, causing the hunters to fall and be killed by the barbarians below.
Hu Cangya shouted, "Climb up! Up!" After several hunters were injured or killed, the clan leader Hu Cangya was in agony. He kept shouting commands, and the hunters, once in battle, were less afraid.
Leixingfeng also shouted, "Leave it to me! Others, climb up!" He knew he had to block the barbarian leader, or the consequences would be severe.
The barbarians gave him a feeling of being much stronger than even a Hundred Wheel Master like Ying Dafei. Except for not being able to use wheel power, the barbarians' strength was overwhelming, and he had to take on a greater responsibility.
Leixingfeng said, "Kedashan, find a steel spear and stick it in the tree trunk!"
Kedashan agreed and took a high-quality steel spear, stuck it in the tree trunk, and climbed up. He called, "The steel spear is in place, Aifeng, be careful!"
Leixingfeng stopped attacking the barbarian leader and continued to shoot the barbarians below. The hunters who fell from the tree were surrounded and killed by the barbarians, making them his primary targets.
In just a few minutes, in Leixingfeng's field of vision, besides the barbarian leader climbing up, the barbarians below were either injured or hiding. He hung his black bow on a branch, pulled out the steel spear, and approached the barbarian leader.
The lower branches were extremely thick, providing enough support for standing. Soon, Leixingfeng and the barbarian leader clashed.
Boom!
Even with Leixingfeng using his full wheel power, the steel spear was jumping with countless arcs of electricity. This strike made him deeply realize the barbarians' strength, which was almost invincible. The steel spear bent into a right angle and flew out, his tiger's mouth bleeding, and his head was shaken. He quickly leaped to the side as the barbarian leader's massive axe split the tree trunk, deeply embedded in it.
However, the barbarian leader was also in trouble. It wasn't that Leixingfeng was stronger, but the current of electricity that entered his body when the axe touched the steel spear made him tremble violently and stiffen.
All the hunters watched the battle, their hearts pounding. Everyone knew that if Leixingfeng lost, few would survive.
Leixingfeng quickly climbed up and shouted, "Give me another steel spear! One of the barbarians' steel spears!"
Several barbarian steel spears were stuck in the tree trunk. Hu Cangya immediately organized people to pull them out. It took several of the strongest hunters to barely pull out one steel spear. The hunters couldn't help but marvel at how thick the steel spear was, with a handle as thick as a bowl, which ordinary people couldn't even grip.
Hu Cangya commanded, "Stick it here, and we'll continue climbing up! Clear the space!"
At this moment, the remaining barbarians also began to climb up.
The barbarian leader glared at Leixingfeng with hatred, knowing he was the culprit.
Leixingfeng climbed to where the steel spear was stuck, pulled it out, and sighed, "This thing is too thick!" Although he could hold it, it was very inconvenient to use.
Jumping onto a thick branch, Leixingfeng saw the barbarian leader's head appear. He raised the thick steel spear high and smashed it down.
Whizz!
The steel spear whistled through the air, and the barbarian leader couldn't help but curse loudly. Since he didn't have a foothold, he swung his arm, and the massive axe collided from below.
Boom!
The barbarian leader was directly shaken and slid down the tree trunk. Leixingfeng jumped to another thick branch and raised the steel spear to smash down again.
At this moment, four other barbarians had climbed up. The barbarian leader shouted, and the four barbarians immediately surrounded Leixingfeng. The hunters on the tree shouted frantically to warn him.
Leixingfeng was now at a disadvantage. Five barbarians on the tree were not easy to handle. He could only continue to smash, or the barbarians would climb higher than him. The hunters above were also anxious, unable to just stand by and let a child fight the barbarians. Kedashan said, "No, I can't let Aifeng fight alone. I'll help him!"
Kedashan climbed down, and immediately, over a dozen hunters followed.
Hu Cangya opened his mouth but then closed it. After some thought, he said, "Organize some people, bring ropes. Even if we can't kill the barbarians, we can tie them up... That's the best help for Aifeng!" This was the wisdom of an experienced elder. He didn't aim to kill but to tie up the barbarians, which was a truly useful strategy.
Immediately, over a dozen hunters organized the ropes and went down to support.
Leixingfeng was already panting heavily. Although he had innate strength, he was still far from the barbarians, even with his wheel power training.
Finally, the barbarian leader found a foothold, his position slightly lower than Leixingfeng's. The other barbarians also climbed up, and Leixingfeng couldn't stop them. Holding the thick steel spear, Leixingfeng's eyes darted around, looking for an opportunity to deliver a fatal blow.
