Chapter 78

（Thank you, book friends whhsl and Yuzai Druid, for pointing out my careless mistakes.）
"Alright, Allen, we can give it a try. But I still hope you can help me gather some concrete information to see if they are willing to sell," Liu Yuxuan said, having made up his mind, he immediately started to take action.
First, he asked Allen to help gather information, and Liu Yuxuan didn't sit idle either; he picked up the phone right away.
"Charlie, how have you been lately?"
"Pretty bored? ... Alright, come to my ranch. I have a big deal here, and I think you'll be very interested."
Without waiting for Charlie's reply, Liu Yuxuan hung up the phone. He believed that with Charlie's personality, he would come as quickly as possible.
Then Liu Yuxuan made another call.
"Robert, my best accountant, I think you should fly to my ranch as soon as possible."
"No, no one is causing me trouble. I just have a small business to handle."
"The business isn't that big, just a 5,000-acre ranch."
"Ha ha ha, I knew you'd be interested when you heard this. Come quickly, buddy. I think Charlie has already bought his ticket."
As expected, Robert was also very excited upon hearing the news. The assets he was currently handling were only in the millions.
"Yuxuan, are you really planning to buy that ranch?" Michelle asked after Liu Yuxuan finished his call.
"Yes, it's an opportunity. I understand your concern; there are significant risks involved. But given our current development, this is truly a heaven-sent opportunity for us," Liu Yuxuan said, looking at Michelle.
"But the risks are really high," Michelle said worriedly.
"Michelle, you have to trust me. I promise I won't take such risks in the future," Liu Yuxuan said sincerely, looking at Michelle.
Michelle didn't know that Liu Yuxuan had a space to guarantee things; it already contained many seeds of hay. As long as they were watered properly when planted, the drought-resistant ability of the space-grown hay would ensure there were no problems.
Liu Yuxuan was deeply moved by Michelle's concern. She first thought about the risks rather than the potential benefits, which only someone who truly cared would do.
Liu Yuxuan's parents, who had been listening to their conversation, knew that Liu Yuxuan seemed to be planning to buy another ranch. Seeing Michelle's worried expression, they also became concerned.
"Dad, Mom, don't worry. It's fine. We started from nothing, and even if this fails, we can start over. If it succeeds, I can arrange for some villagers to help manage the ranch in the future," Liu Yuxuan said, seeing his parents' worry, and decided to think about the future development of his fellow villagers.
This wasn't just empty talk; Liu Yuxuan really had this plan. Once the villagers' greenhouses were up and running, there would be some idle labor. They could come to help him then.
Especially after the whole village sent him off when he left, he felt a deep sense of responsibility to help them live better lives.
Liu Yuxuan's parents didn't say much more. After all, these businesses were all started by their eldest son. Worrying would only affect him.
"Yuxuan, you must consider all the details. I'll ask Dad how much money we have, and we can contribute a bit," Michelle said after some thought.
Liu Yuxuan was completely moved by Michelle's words and said emotionally, "Michelle, no matter what happens in the future, you will always be my Michelle. But this time, I want to complete it independently. Please understand me; I don't want to burden your family. As long as you trust and support me, that's the greatest help you can give me."
Seeing the two of them being so affectionate, Liu Yuxuan's father coughed awkwardly. At that moment, Michelle suddenly realized they were showing affection in front of Liu Yuxuan's parents, and her face turned red.
"This old man, if his throat itches, he should go outside and cough," Liu Yuxuan's mother glared at him and said irritably.
Charlie and Robert arrived quickly, the next morning. Allen had also finished gathering information, confirming that the Grizzly Ranch was indeed willing to sell.
Now, the four of them were sitting in the study discussing the matter. Michelle did not join them, fearing she might add to Liu Yuxuan's burden.
"Robert, what are the chances of me getting a loan for this amount, given my current financial standing?" Liu Yuxuan asked Robert first, as he was the expert among them.
"Andy, I don't want to upset you," Robert organized his thoughts and said slowly, "I've roughly calculated that to operate such a large ranch, we would need at least $1.3 to $1.5 million in working capital to support the livestock until they are ready for market. Am I right, Allen?" Robert asked for confirmation.
Allen thought about it. Given the number of cattle and sheep at Grizzly Ranch and the current drought, they would need to buy feed. If the drought continued, along with labor costs, this estimate was quite conservative.
Allen nodded.
Robert, having received confirmation, continued, "The full sale price of such a large ranch would be over $20 million. You currently have about $4 million, so we need to try to secure a loan of $17.5 million. Is that correct?"
After Robert listed all the details, Liu Yuxuan took a deep breath.
Yesterday, he thought $15 million would be enough, but now it turned out to be much more. This wasn't 2.5 million RMB; it was 2.5 million USD.
Robert, seeing everyone digesting the information, continued, "The $20 million is our estimated price. We don't know the financial situation of Grizzly Ranch's parent company, and whether they are willing to sell at this price."
Liu Yuxuan realized he had been too simplistic. He had been overly optimistic and hadn't noticed the significant challenges involved.
Allen also felt a headache. He wanted to help his future son-in-law grow quickly, and Grizzly Ranch was close by, making it advantageous for management and familiarity. As a small ranch owner, he could only provide up to $200,000.
"Is there nothing we can do? Sigh, I've made you travel so far, just treat it as a vacation," Liu Yuxuan said with a bitter smile.
"Andy, how determined are you to buy this ranch? And how confident are you in managing it successfully?" Charlie, who had been silent, asked.
"I want to buy it, but the funding gap is too large, and they might not sell. As for managing the ranch, I have an 80% confidence level," Liu Yuxuan said helplessly. Money, money, it's never enough. He thought $4 million was a lot, but here it was just a drop in the bucket.
"Robert, you've listed so many difficulties. Surely there are some advantages we haven't mentioned yet?" Charlie, who had a good relationship with Robert, knew he hadn't finished.
"Our only advantage is Andy's organic vegetables," Robert said without waiting for further questions.
Liu Yuxuan, hearing Robert's words, felt there was still hope for the loan, and it seemed to hinge on the organic vegetables.
He looked at Robert with great anticipation.
