Li Han got up early and played with little Millie for a while. After tidying up the documents from yesterday and putting them in his backpack, he drove his pickup truck to the city to handle some loan procedures. He finally finished the loan business in the morning, securing a $10,000 agricultural loan, which made him quite happy. He planned to treat himself to a meal, as he had only had a cup of American coffee for breakfast. Starbucks had raised the price by ten cents, making a cup of American coffee cost $2.
Back in Kemi Star Town, Li Han went straight to Maria's restaurant and ordered a large chicken leg sandwich and a large cup of coffee. After satisfying his hunger, Li Han chatted with the old black pickup truck owner about the new mother-daughter pair who had just moved in across the street. "Really, you old pervert, just can't stop looking at their butts."
"Hey, Old Pickup, your days are over. Don't corrupt Han. Han is a thirty-minute man," Maria said, holding a large coffee pot and swaying her big hips over.
"Maria," Li Han rolled his eyes, still not quite used to American jokes, especially those about how long a man can last in bed. His blushing face made Maria and the others laugh heartily. She swayed her hips and gave him a flirtatious look before turning to greet the incoming customers. "Haha, our little Han is so shy, such a cute guy."
Kemi Star Town was small, and Li Han had lived there for four years, so most people knew him. They all greeted him with smiles and sat down casually. Maria swayed her hips and pushed her ample chest out as she refilled everyone's coffee.
Li Han finished his coffee and said goodbye to Old Pickup, who gave him a suspicious look. Li Han shot him a glare. "Damn, that Mitch is a troublemaker." Mitch was a female friend of Li Han's, bold and fiery, with a hot body. Li Han and Mitch were just friends, but they had had a few intimate moments. Mitch hadn't expected the shy Li Han to be a Superman, and the "thirty-minute man" nickname came from her chatting with friends.
Li Han was a bit annoyed, but in America, it wasn't a big deal and even won him more attention from women. He had gotten used to the teasing. He had some serious business to attend to, so he went to the agricultural machinery shop. There, he found Kedi, a friend and teammate from the Kemi Star football team, playing basketball. Kedi was the youngest son of the shop owner. "Kedi, I need some parts. Can you help me find them?"
"Han, how about these? These are from the parts we bought from Xiao Wang Farm yesterday," Kedi said, leading Li Han to a pile of old parts, a mountain of at least a truckload, mostly rusty. Li Han looked them over; they were in decent condition, just needing some rust removal.
Xiao Wang Farm was a massive farm, covering nearly 200,000 acres, fully mechanized. Li Han often worked there during the off-season, admiring their modern equipment but sighing at the sky-high prices. "Not bad, not bad. These parts should last at least three years."
Li Han's eyes sparkled. Don't underestimate the parts from Xiao Wang Farm; for a small farm like his, they could last several more years. "Hey, Keli was right, you'll love these. Keli's underwear is drying there, hehe."
Li Han rolled his eyes at Kedi's lewd comment. Keli and Li Han were just friends, teammates on the Kemi Star football team. Keli was a flanker, and Li Han, with his strategic mind, was the quarterback. Keli protected the quarterback, and they had a good relationship, but not the way Kedi suggested. Keli was indeed a beauty, with a big butt and ample chest.
Li Han shook his head, wondering why he was thinking about these things. He had serious business to attend to, and his parents were coming in half a month. If they found out about this, his conservative father would be furious. "Kedi, Keli will beat your head in if she hears this."
"Hehe, I'm not afraid. Guess who signed my helmet from Medick? You won't believe it, Tom." Kedi looked disdainful, but Li Han knew that compared to his father, Kedi was more afraid of his sister, a violent brute. Whenever Li Han thought of Keli on the football field, he shivered.
"Keli is preparing for tonight's party with Hali. Do you know what Keli is auctioning tonight?"
Li Han picked out over ten parts he needed. Some small parts had to be bought new, but overall, it cost him only $3,000, much less than the $5,000 he had expected. He was grateful that Keli had set aside these parts for him, especially since a city truck had come to collect scrap yesterday. "Kedi, I'll get you one of Keli's undergarments, but you have to prepare the barbecue for the Sunday party, okay?"
"Kedi, Keli will kill me if she finds out."
Li Han sighed. Keli was more conservative than Kedi. Kedi looked disappointed. Li Han's barbecue skills were excellent, especially the spicy aroma. "Han, no girl will like you if you're so conservative. I wonder if you're Jewish."
"No, I'm Chinese, Han. Thank Keli for me. I'll prepare the barbecue for the Sunday party." Li Han said to Kedi, who helped him load the parts into his pickup. Kedi was delighted. "Yes, man, Keli will give you a hot kiss as a thank you."
"Really? Okay, I'll just prepare one for Keli." Li Han opened the car door and smiled at Kedi. "No, man." "Hehe, bye, get the wine ready." Li Han ignored Kedi and started the car.
In the afternoon, Li Han replaced the parts. The parts from Xiao Wang Farm were in good condition, and he was very satisfied. He wouldn't need to replace them for the next two years, which was lucky. He planned to call the gas company to add gas and check the fuel tank, and to call a specialist to fix the septic tank and drainage. The house needed some renovation, as the roof had cracked in last year's snowstorm. He needed to buy some new furniture, bedding, and curtains for the bedrooms and guest room.
Li Han didn't mind living alone, but his family would find it uncomfortable. The bathroom and shower needed to be updated, and the total cost would be around $10,000. Baby wanted a horse, but he would have to look around the nearby farms for a cheaper one. Li Han calculated his finances and scratched his head. "What a terrible summer."
Just as he was feeling frustrated, the phone rang. "Han, don't forget the party tonight." Willi reminded him. "Ok, I'll take a shower and come over. Is the beer ready?" "It's ready, but Hali wants to eat your grilled chicken."
"Ok." Li Han hung up, took a shower, and packed the grilled chicken in a paper bag. He rode his Harley, a good second-hand motorcycle he had traded for three grilled chickens, which Harry had left behind after going to college.
