In the afternoon, Li Han, his brother-in-law, and his father were busy nailing the fence for the small vegetable garden. It took quite a bit of effort. The three men sawed wooden boards, drove wooden stakes, and nailed long wooden strips along the rope, leaving wooden gates on both sides. After working for half the afternoon, they were quite tired. Li Han said, "Dad, Brother-in-law, you two go back and rest for a while. I'll go check on Xudun."

For the past two days, the three pastures on the other side of the river had been watered. It hadn't rained for many days, but fortunately, the temperature was higher than usual, and the melting snow from the mountains had increased the river's flow.

The prolonged high temperatures had accelerated the melting of the snow on the mountain, causing the river to rise significantly. Li Han had thought the irrigation of the pastures wouldn't be a big problem, but it turned out there was still a water shortage. No wonder Xudun's four-wheeler got stuck in the mud by the river; perhaps Xudun was trying to get water to irrigate the pasture.

"Xudun, I think I need to think seriously about this." The pasture must not have any problems. Fortunately, the other three pastures had no water issues.

"Han, that old man has diverted the river water that should belong to us. Maybe we need a lawyer's help," Xudun said angrily.

Back at the farm, Li Han was still worried about the water issue. He saw his brother-in-law riding a horse over from a distance. "Brother-in-law, how was it?"

"Great, really good. Little Han, I just learned how to brush a horse from Daina."

His brother-in-law smiled, dismounted, and walked over. "That's great, Brother-in-law, it looks beautiful." "Hehe, I just learned. Not bad, right? By the way, Little Han, someone just called. They said the tractor and combine harvester have arrived, and they need you to come and check them out."

"Okay, Brother-in-law, I'll go first." Li Han returned to George's farm, changed into a pickup truck, and headed back to the small farm. Kelly and the farm machinery manager, Michel, were waiting outside the yard. "Han, it's great to see you again."

"Michel, my old friend." Li Han gave Michel a light hug; they had met a few times. "You've really worked hard, Kelly. Maybe we should have a cup of coffee first, how about that?" "Sure, I think a beer might be even better."

Li Han once again marveled at the magic of technology. Over $500,000, but it was worth every penny.

Li Han saw Michel off, feeling incredibly happy as he touched the brand new combine harvester. "Kelly, this big guy is really great."

"Of course, Han. This is a true giant. It can do everything you want."

"Kelly, I think I need another beer." "Sure, Han, congratulations." Kelly didn't refuse, taking the beer Li Han handed her. "Thanks, Kelly. I think the first beer tastes even better."

"It will definitely be the best taste. I can't wait, Han." Kelly leaned against Li Han, who looked at her. Her long auburn hair, fair cheeks, a pert little nose, and inviting lips. She wore a white blouse under a sleeveless denim jacket, the top two buttons of the blouse open, revealing a deep cleavage. Her full hips were accentuated by the denim pants. Li Han couldn't help but lean in and kiss Kelly, who responded with fiery passion.

What a beautiful afternoon. An hour later, Li Han saw Kelly off. "Kelly, there's a party at my place tomorrow night to celebrate my parents coming to America. I hope you can come."

"Han, I think I will."

Li Han invited mostly close friends: the Ronalds, the Marburys, and the Kellys. It was a family party, suggested by Li Han's mother, Zhang Xiuying, to thank those who had taken care of Li Han. After seeing Kelly off, Li Han returned to his room, tidied up the bed, and enjoyed a wonderful moment.

If it weren't for the issue with Pasture No. 3, everything would be perfect. Installing a modern irrigation system would cost a lot, but it was necessary. The long, hot summer in the American Midwest without rain was not a pleasant situation. Li Han needed to solve the pasture problem as soon as possible. Modern irrigation methods might solve everything.
