### Chapter 7: Treating the Sick Horse with the Right Medicine
Xiaoming stood at the classroom door, took a deep breath, and firmly gripped the secret letter from his mother.

Most of the football team had already arrived at the competition venue. There were over forty players from different professional teams, but the Kemi Star football team had fewer than twenty members, including three girls. It was no surprise, as more people in Montana preferred baseball and basketball, and there were no professional football teams.
"Han, did you not only steal Black Bam's brain but also his stomach?" A red-haired, chubby player laughed, pointing at Han's bulging belly, and burst into laughter.
"Billy, you Black Bam's brother, did you lick Black Bam's big butt?" Han retorted, and everyone laughed. Billy and Han had never gotten along well, and they always exchanged insults. This time, the innocent Black Bam was dragged into their argument. After a few more jibes, Han and Billy stopped when they saw Kelly approaching with drinks and fries. Kelly seemed nice, but when she got angry, she was like a lioness.
"Han, are you hiding a baby in there?" Kelly distributed the cola, and Katie took the opportunity to sit next to Han, curiously touching his bulging belly and even giving it a couple of hard pats. Han looked so ridiculous, with his protruding belly, struggling to sit down like a pregnant woman. He had been eating all morning, and his stomach was so full that he could barely fit any more. Han realized something was wrong, suspecting the system was behind it.
"Oh, shit, God isn't working today. Do you want to replace him?" Han almost vomited, his stomach so full that he could feel the chicken soup rising to his throat. Kelly almost fell over laughing as she walked past Han.
"Han, do you want another cola?" Kelly teased, holding a cup of cola in front of Han. "No, I only love milk," Han glared at Kelly, having no interest in cola or even a thousand-dollar bowl of Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.
"Oh, God must not be working today. Han actually told Kelly he loves milk. Man, did you hear that?" Will exaggerated, making everyone laugh. Kelly, speechless, turned away, and Han glared at Will and Billy with a murderous look. Unfortunately, Han was too immobile to do anything. He huffed and lay back on the grass, ignoring Will and the others. When Bella and Becky brought two beautiful girls over, Will and Katie, along with Billy, lost interest in teasing Han. Han closed his eyes, resting for a moment, thinking about going to the town's veterinary clinic to buy medicine to treat Quarter, hoping the system had some conscience.
"Han, it's great to see you. The weather is really nice today," Cynthia bent slightly, her white, full chest and the glimpse of her legs making Han's blood boil. "Beautiful Cynthia, welcome to the Kemi Star town football team."
Han sat up, looking completely different from his earlier half-dead state. It wasn't that he had any particular thoughts about Cynthia, but she was the first person Han had met with a genetic perfection rate over 65. The system had been scanning everyone Han interacted with, and even Kelly, with her bear-like body, had a perfection rate of only 61. Will and Katie's perfection rates were not much better than Han's. As the system data showed, a perfection rate over 70 was one in ten thousand.
"Katie invited us to join the football cheerleading squad. Han, can we join the party tomorrow?" Cynthia had just moved to Kemi Star town with her parents. Coming from the city, Cynthia enjoyed lively parties, especially those organized by young people.
"Of course, you are as beautiful as the moon goddess. I don't think anyone would want to miss such beauty," Han's compliment made Cynthia very happy, and she gave him a sweet, light kiss. "Thank you, Han, you are such a fun person."
"Oh, God, Han really put his brain in his stomach," Katie slapped her forehead, sneaking a glance at Kelly, who was holding a cola can.
"Yes, Katie, Han's brain has been digested by Black Bam. Now, his brain is borrowed from Black Bam," Will nodded in agreement. Yesterday, it was the sick horse, today, the bulging belly, and now, flirting with Cynthia in front of Kelly. It was like he was courting death.
"Will, Katie, my brothers, let's have a toast to Han becoming Black Bam's brother," Billy suggested, holding up his cola.
"No, Black Bam's brother," Will and Katie shook their heads. Billy was closer to Black Bam, but Will and Katie didn't want to be associated with him, as the girls in town would mock them. They stood up.
"No, man," Billy shouted, chasing after Will and Katie. Han vaguely heard the mention of Black Bam but had no time to pay attention, as Kelly was already angry. Han had to behave, carefully presenting his plan for the next day's match. When the topic turned to the match, Kelly's mood improved, and she began to arrange the details. Only Will, Katie, Billy, and Tom were enthusiastic about Cynthia joining the cheerleading squad, while Bella and Becky were indifferent. Cynthia and Debbie introduced themselves, mentioning their cheerleading experience.
After everything was arranged, Han put away his notebook and stood up, his belly still bulging. "Will, is Uncle Marbury at home?"
Marbury was a real veterinarian, though most farmers who raised livestock were part-time veterinarians, also doubling as accountants, mechanics, welders, carpenters, and salespeople. Marbury was the only person in town with a veterinary license and was also a real doctor. "Is God really not working today? Han, you can't seriously be planning to cure your Quarter yourself. Uncle Marbury has already seen him. Han, give up."
"Will, miracles might be right around the corner. Come on," Han thought. The cause of the illness had been identified, and with the best treatment plan and the mysterious system, there was a chance to cure Quarter. Maybe he could really buy back a high-quality Quarter for fifty dollars, which was worth thousands. Thinking about it, Han felt less resentment towards the system.
Will shook his head and rode a three-wheeled motorcycle to Marbury's house. Han handed over the prepared note, which cost two hundred dollars, quite expensive. Back at the farm, Han muttered to himself, looking at the sick Quarter. "System, don't you dare lie to me."
Han was still a bit unsure, but seeing no response from the system, he decided to proceed. He prepared the medicine and, being skilled at giving injections, easily administered the shot to the chestnut Quarter, who was too weak to resist. By evening, when Han returned, Quarter seemed to be in better spirits, and Han began to believe the system's words. The next morning, Quarter was already standing, much more lively.
"What, space spring water is good for animal recovery? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Han cursed, filling half a bucket with the water. "Is this my blood transformed?" Han scooped a ladle, thinking about whether it would be beneficial for his own body.
The system quickly responded, and Han sighed in relief. It wasn't his blood, and the space spring water was extracted from the air. Han drank a bellyful, feeling some improvement in his weakness. He quickly gave some to Little Red Date, the name he had thought of overnight. Since the treatment was effective, he decided to name her, as they would be spending a long time together. Han used a medicine funnel to give Little Red Date half a bucket of space water, and it seemed to work. When Han returned from the football match, Little Red Date was already eating hay.
