In the living room of the small farm house, "God, finally got rid of those kids." Willy and Kedi slumped into their chairs, and Li Han smiled as he patted both of their shoulders. "You've worked hard. How about some beer and grilled meat? I just finished cooking some tender lamb chops."
"Hey, beer, of course I'll have a glass. Han, these students are really full of energy. I don't think I want to entertain such tourists anymore." Willy got up and followed Li Han to the kitchen, where there was grilled meat, a few small dishes, and beer.
The two of them carried their plates to the balcony. Willy nudged Kedi with his big bottom. "Hey, a glass of beer. Han's grilled meat is really delicious, have some."
"Sure, I'll do it myself. Give me the knife." Kedi said weakly.
Willy and Kedi had helped Li Han take the vegetable-buying group around the Komi Star town. Willy was still okay, driving the tractor, but Kedi had to chat and help the girls carry vegetables, which was exhausting in the hot weather. Li Han took a cup and poured a glass of beer for each of them. "Here, have a glass of beer to quench your thirst."
"The beer really tastes great, Kedi, let's have a glass for your little beauty." "Oh, that's really something to celebrate. Do you want to leave a number?" Li Han sipped his beer and asked with a smile. Kedi suddenly jumped up, exclaiming in frustration. "Damn, I forgot to ask for Jess's number."
"Ha ha ha, maybe Jess didn't plan to give you her number, Kedi. Come on, have a glass and forget about her." Kedi grunted, raised his beer glass, and clinked it with Willy's. Li Han cut some lamb and passed it to both of them, along with corn, grilled potatoes, and a bowl of cream mushroom soup.
"Willy's right, forget about Jess. Let's have some lamb chops." Li Han handed the knife to Kedi and put a piece of lamb in his mouth. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and Li Han was quite satisfied with his cooking.
Kedi wiped the beer foam from the corner of his mouth and said, "Another glass, to hell with Jess, to hell with Cynthia. Beer and grilled meat are my favorites." "Hey, the great Kedi is back. Han, let's have another glass for Kedi."
"Alright, one last glass." Li Han took Willy's beer glass, poured a glass, and handed it to him. "Han, this beer really tastes great. How about some salad?" Li Han passed the salad plate to Willy and asked, "Kedi, do you want some vegetable salad?"
"Sure, Han." Kedi took the salad. Li Han's salad tasted better than usual, and the vegetable-buying group had really enjoyed this dish yesterday. A small bucket of beer, a piece of lamb, and a large plate of salad—Li Han's simple meal was quite tasty.
Willy took a sip of beer and said, "Han, I have to say, I admire Chris a bit." "Oh, it's rare for you to mention Chris. That's quite a miracle. Haley would be very happy to hear that." Li Han put down his knife and sipped his beer.
"Chris plans to do tourism, Han. Tourism is really exhausting. I don't think I want to do this job for the rest of my life. God, it's too tiring. I'd rather be a cowboy." Willy took a sip of beer, and Kedi nodded. "Yes, Han, it's too tiring. This isn't our job. Damn tourism."
Li Han laughed and said, "No, this is just an exception. I think it will be much easier in the future." "I'd rather herd cattle than entertain tourists." Willy finished his beer and took a big bite of the grilled potato. Kedi took the salad and complained, "Han, I still feel like there are countless bugs buzzing in my ears. It's a nightmare."
"Hey, with beautiful girls around, how can you not be happy?" Willy nudged Kedi, and Kedi shouted, "Damn, Willy, don't touch me. It's really damn. There were thirty people. I'd be happy with thirty beautiful girls, but God, three girls would be a flock of ducks, quacking. I think I'd have nightmares."
Kedi never realized how terrifying thirty curious minds could be, one question after another. Kedi's head was about to explode, especially when it came to calculating the cost of souvenirs. It was like hell, and Kedi's math skills were completely inadequate. Li Han laughed, realizing that Kedi and Willy had been tortured by math. Most of the Chinese students had good grades, especially in math. The two of them had become clowns, and their brains were a mess.
"Hey, Willy, Kedi, it's okay. Take a rest. I think it will be better tomorrow. Do you need me to drive you home?" Li Han said with a smile.
"No, Han, thanks for your hospitality. I think I can find my way home." Kedi stood up. Two glasses of beer weren't a big deal. Willy followed. "Han, thanks for the beer. Goodbye."
"Be careful. Today is payday, so watch out for fines." Li Han said, seeing them off. He cleaned up the plates, cutlery, and beer glasses, and took a rest. The vegetable-buying group was quite good, selling organic and green vegetables, earning over three hundred dollars.
After a rest, Dudu came back with the ox cart. "Dudu, did you give the money to Grandpa Whitebeard?" "Yes, Grandpa Whitebeard was very happy and gave Dudu a lot of snacks. They were so delicious. Dudu brought some for Dad."
"Good boy." Li Han rubbed Dudu's little head and led him into the house. The little guy's face was rosy. "Thirsty? Dad made tofu soup." "Yes." Dudu followed Li Han to the kitchen, holding a large bowl, and drank a big bowl of tofu soup, wiping his mouth and giggling, patting his little belly.
In the afternoon, Li Han took Dudu to George's farm warehouse to build a mobile shed and open a mobile vegetable supermarket.
Jim and Hutton thought it was a good idea. People in town had been coming to the farm to buy vegetables these past two days. Opening a small supermarket was a good idea. Li Han prepared the necessary documents and applied. The approval might come in a couple of days. With all the procedures in place, it would be much more convenient to open a small supermarket than to have Dudu drive the ox cart to town to sell vegetables. Dudu was very happy and wanted to help his dad.
Jim and Hutton had experience building mobile carts, and Li Han asked them for help. "Han, we need to buy a chassis and some wooden boards."
"Alright, I'll ask Kelly. It shouldn't be a problem." Li Han called Kelly, and the price of a used trailer chassis was very cheap. Li Han drove his pickup truck to town to buy a trailer chassis, two wheels, and a main rod, which he attached to the pickup truck and brought back. He also bought some wooden boards and nails from the hardware store.
Back at the farm, Jim and Hutton had prepared the tools. Dudu changed into his work overalls, looking like a little bear worker, carrying a small toolbox and patting his chest. "Dudu will help Dad." "Good boy."
Dudu had quite a bit of strength, passing tools and nails, and was very happy. Dad was making a small supermarket for selling vegetables. Jim and Hutton helped, and Dudu passed the tools. They drew and cut the wooden boards for the chassis, laid them out, and fixed them with nails and clips. The basic structure of the cart was complete. For the design, Li Han referred to the layout of a supermarket, with three walls of shelves and a small door in front.
After designing the cart, they discussed the roof. Jim and Hutton suggested a gable roof. "Han, a gable roof is more suitable for the shelf walls." "Jim is right, Han. A flat roof wouldn't be suitable for the shelf walls."
Li Han also thought the gable roof was good, but he still squatted down to ask Dudu, in case Dudu didn't like it. "Dudu, what kind of roof do you like?"
Dudu thought for a moment. "Dudu wants a mushroom." "Mushroom? Jim, Hutton, a mushroom roof is a good idea. What do you think?"
Jim and Hutton had only thought of flat and gable roofs, but not a mushroom roof. "Han, Dudu's suggestion is great. Mushrooms are a type of vegetable, and I can't think of a better roof."
"Alright, a mushroom roof. Dudu, you're so smart." "Yes, yes." Dudu nodded proudly, and Li Han pinched his little nose. The mushroom roof was adorable. After the roof was done, there was a problem with the shelf walls. Li Han tried a few times with wooden boards but wasn't quite satisfied.
Dudu squatted next to his dad, looking very serious, occasionally frowning as if he had encountered a difficult problem. Li Han looked up and saw Dudu's serious face and couldn't help but laugh. "Hehe, little rascal, come help Dad get the little hammer." "Yes." Dudu was happy to help his dad.
The design of the shelf walls wasn't successful. Jim and Hutton tried a few times, but it still wasn't good. "Han, how about trying a single wall of shelves?" Jim suggested. Indeed, using a single wall of shelves was much better. One wall was castle-like, and the other two walls had shelves for vegetables. In the afternoon, with the help of Jim and Hutton, Li Han finally completed the small mobile vegetable supermarket. The design of the shelves, though not large, was enough to hold over ten types of vegetables.
Dudu was very happy, climbing up and down. Dudu's small supermarket, selling vegetables, and pulling the cart back to the small farm. The wooden boards needed to be sanded.
