In the midst of the commotion, Li Han rode Little Red Date, leading Big White to find a way out of the mountains. Helicopters flew overhead from time to time, making a lot of noise, which was quite annoying. What was even more annoying was that they got lost. Father and daughter were completely lost, and before they knew it, they had wandered into Watermelon Country. Dudu didn't care at all, happily munching on a big tomato, occasionally stealing a glance at her frowning father. She would take out a bunch of lettuce or carrots and throw them on the road. As soon as her father turned his head, Dudu would put on a cute big smile, clenching her little fists, as if to say, "Dudu didn't do anything."

Li Han thought the little one was just playing with him and didn't pay much attention. He scratched his head and continued his great exploration work. He had known earlier that it would be difficult to get out of the mountains, and it would have been better to follow Lauren. He was a road fool, unable to tell east from west. They walked and stopped, stopped and walked, and Li Han always felt something was off, as if something was following them.

After walking for half a day, they finally got out of the forest. However, what lay before them was a vast wasteland, both unfamiliar and familiar. Looking around, he saw a road sign not far away. He dismounted and led Little Red Date and Big White, with the white wolf leading the way and Little White carrying the backpack and tent closely following Big White. Li Han looked at the road sign and let out a big sigh of relief. He hadn't expected to end up at the wasteland near the Glasserman Ranch, which was like a nature reserve. Li Han quickly put away the wild chickens and rabbits, as this was not a hunting ground. Hunting was illegal except during the hunting season in October. Even during the hunting season, one had to apply for a permit, or the police would not be lenient. The law in the United States was quite strong, and poaching was rare, or hunting was becoming less and less common.

Li Han tidied up and found a place to rest, first solving the lunch problem. They set up a pot, an iron rack, and gathered some firewood, piling it into a small heap and surrounding it with small stones. The area was covered with tall grass, and they had to be careful not to start a big fire. Using gasoline to ignite the fire, Li Han busily added dry branches. Dudu, clinging to her father, asked for the small axe to chop the firewood. With a few grunts, she managed to split a few arm-thick branches into small pieces, happily carrying them to her father to burn.

Beef, tomatoes, and cabbage were sliced and stewed in the pot, with water from the space. Dudu sat on a stone, dragging her chin and watching her father cook. Li Han turned around and chuckled at the little one. Not far away, a group of wild boars, rabbits, and antelopes were moving in the direction Li Han and Dudu had come from, eating the lettuce and slowly approaching. Li Han hadn't noticed at first, but as more animals appeared, it became hard to ignore.

Li Han was a bit stunned. Where did the wild boars, antelopes, deer, and rabbits come from? He glanced at Dudu, who was hiding her head, pretending to know nothing. "Dudu?" Li Han was both amused and exasperated. No wonder he had felt something was off, as if something was following them. These animals must have something to do with Dudu. "Dudu didn't pick up any piglets; they came on their own." Dudu had thrown a lot of lettuce and carrots along the way, this little rascal.

Li Han rubbed his forehead and tapped Dudu's little head. "Don't tell anyone, okay?" "Mm-hm." Dudu nodded obediently, promising. Li Han thought to himself, this time, the hunting at the Chris Estate was completely ruined. All the game had run to the state's wasteland. What a mess. He decided to tidy up and head back to the farm. He couldn't figure it out, but he felt quite relieved. Was he jealous of Chris?

Father and daughter happily had lunch, and Dudu waved goodbye to the animals. "Little pigs, big pigs, little deer, go home." Dudu rode Big White and followed her father back home, passing by the Glasserman Ranch, where she visited Grandpa Whitebeard. Li Han returned to George Farm, where Dina and Hutton were vaccinating the lambs. "Han, how was the hunting?" "Terrible, the whole hunting ground is in chaos. Wild boars and black bears are causing a mess. I don't know what it's like now, but I bet Chris is still having a headache. Hey, it was no fun at all," Li Han said with a smile.

"Hey, Han, hunting is for men during the hunting season. My rifle is oiled, and I'll shoot a red deer; it tastes great," Hutton said while helping Dina catch the lambs.

"I'm looking forward to it, Hutton. You must take me along; I want to make some good barbecue," Li Han said as he took off Little Red Date's saddle, pad, bridle, and reins, and patted Little Red Date's buttocks. The horse had performed well these past two days.

"No problem, Han. With a beer, it would be perfect, right?" "I'll bring the beer." Li Han chatted with Hutton about hunting while grooming Little Red Date's fur. "Hutton, Dina, I'll groom Little Red Date first, then come to help."

"Han, Dina and I can handle this." Hutton waved the syringe in his hand, and Dina nodded.

"Yes, Han, you should rest. I think you didn't sleep well." Dina soothed the lamb, rubbing the injection site. These lambs were Dina's treasures.

"Yes, it was chaotic and a terrible night. Dina, Hutton, you two work hard." Li Han waved his hat, patted Little Red Date, and went to the workroom to change into rubber gloves, rubber boots, a brush, a bucket, and a dry cloth. He went to the pond to wash Little Red Date. The horse was covered in mud, and it took a while to wash and brush her. He also removed the stones and mud from her hooves, washed her face, and dried her with a dry cloth. Little Red Date, feeling comfortable, shook her head and rubbed against Li Han affectionately. Li Han was delighted and patted the big horse. "Go eat some grass."

After grooming the horse, Li Han was drenched in sweat. He went back to the house, took a shower, and changed into dry clothes. He called Will and Katie to ask how Will's cold was. "Han, Will is much better, thank you." "That's great, Aunt Sibley. God bless, I hope Will gets well soon."

"Thank you, Han. Will will get better soon." Sibley was a kind woman. After chatting for a while, Li Han hung up. He didn't ask about the hunting at the Chris Estate, guessing it must be a mess. Katie had safely returned home, and Li Han was relieved. He rode the quad to the sheep pen, where Dina was driving a small tractor to deliver feed to the pasture. She waved to Li Han, and a few lambs were sitting on the tractor. Not far away, a dozen dairy cows were leisurely grazing, completely ignoring their owner.

These grass-eating creatures were all like lords, and Li Han couldn't provoke them, or he might get a pile of manure. He rode the quad to exercise the horses. A dozen spotted horses and quarter horses galloped on the green grass, a beautiful sight. Li Han was skilled at exercising horses, leading the herd for a round. He returned to the small building, rested for a while, and Dudu came back riding Big White, carrying a lot of small pastries in fancy boxes. She arranged them, clapped her hands, and went upstairs to find her father. Li Han was woken up by the little one. "Hehe, lazy dad."

"Little rascal, come back. That's pretty. Did Grandpa Whitebeard give them to you?" Dudu was wearing a pretty Alakerei outfit that Grandpa Whitebeard had bought for her. "Mm-hm, Dad, Grandpa Whitebeard is sick." Her little face looked sad, and Li Han felt a pang in his heart.

Glasserman was old, and his body wasn't as good as before. With the recent cooling weather, his weak body might have caught a cold. Since Dudu had received so much help from him, she would stew a chicken and send it over. "Dudu will stew it." Hearing about stewing chicken, Dudu raised her hand and quickly pulled out a bunch of herbs from the space, selecting a small pile. "Dudu, what are these?"

"Herbs that Dudu planted." Dudu squatted on the ground, looking up with her little face. Li Han was surprised to find that the little one had secretly planted so many herbs, thinking of what Second Grandpa had said about Dudu's natural talent for traditional Chinese medicine. "Danggui, Atractylodes, Polygonatum, Atractylodes macrocephala, and Polygonum multiflorum." Li Han pinched Dudu's little nose.

Dudu insisted on helping Li Han stew the chicken. Fortunately, they had two more wild chickens. They plucked the feathers, removed the innards, washed the chicken, and found a clay pot. They stuffed the herbs into the chicken's belly, placed it in the pot, and Dudu had already prepared the space water. They added the lid and lit the fire. The medicinal chicken soup needed to stew for a while, and Dudu volunteered to watch over it. The little one was quite serious, turned on the TV, and switched to the channel where Li Han bought tutorials. Dudu hugged a small black bear and sat obediently, holding a bag of cheese made by Dina.

Li Han took a piece and put it in his mouth. It tasted great, and Dina's skills were excellent. "Dudu, stay at home and be good. Dad is going to work." "Mm-hm, Dad, go ahead." Li Han went out, rode the quad to the second pasture, where Jim and Hutton were moving hay bales. The rest of the hay from the other pastures had been stored in the warehouse, and only the second pasture had some left. "Han, the grass here is really good. We can harvest it twice more for winter feed."

Jim was happy. Good grass growth in the pasture made anyone happy. "Good, Jim, Hutton. After harvesting the second pasture, we'll move the cattle to the new pasture. Let's check it out later." Li Han said. The hay was of good quality, thanks to the irrigation with spring water.

Jim patted the hay bale and said with a smile, "No problem, Han. We can finish this in the afternoon."
